Since releasing his last full-length LP S.P.Y has filled mountains of hard-drives with sketches, VIPs, bootlegs and tear-out weapons for his regular top spots on drum & bass line-ups across the world. With a clear vision ahead, he’s selected the best of the bunch for a triple hit of ‘Alone In The Dark’ EPs. The second chapter, ‘EP:2’ is a flawless unfolding of his genius that once again cements S.P.Y as a leading member of the Hospital Records roster.

Opening with pure S.P.Y production is ‘Termination’, an eerie tale through slow build-ups and that thick, menacing S.P.Y sub buzz. A trickling lead piano matches up with old-school powerhouse vocals in ‘Get Up’. Then there's ‘Shadow Play’ that reaches for more of that definitive dancefloor aggression, sure to draw out crowds from every corner.

The album features sixteen first-class reworks from London Electricity, S.P.Y, Danny Byrd, Nu:Tone, Urbandawn and more; all taking a 170BPM step-out on iconic reggae artists such as Barrington Levy, Alton Ellis, John Holt, Beenie Man, Horace Andy and more.

From dancehall classic to dancefloor banger, Hospital mainstay and esteemed soul-selector Nu:Tone applies his production savviness to Barrington Levy’s seminal reggae anthem, ‘Here I Come'. Stimulated from the ground up with a warm, rolling bassline and kitted out with skittering amens to boot.

Fresh from his huge cover of the Beatles classic ‘Come Together’, Urbandawn steps into the fold with an utterly outrageous, monster remix of Chaka Demus’ ‘Forward & Pull Up’. This one speaks for itself, in Urbandawn’s trademark punchy, crunchy style.

The album is also the original home for Benny L’s infamous John Holt ‘Police In Helicopter’ remix, which shot to Beatport’s #1 spot across all genres, making both drum & bass and Beatport history.

The 'Jet Star Meets Hospital' project is the collaborative workings of the legendary reggae label Jet Star and leading drum & bass imprint Hospital Records.
