Drum & bass pioneer and Hospital Record’s crown jewel Danny Byrd is back! He’s set 2018 ablaze with monolith anthems ‘Devil’s Drop’, ‘Salute’ ft MC GQ and ‘Hold Up The Crown’ ft Ky Lenz, now he proudly presents his first album in five years, ‘Atomic Funk’.
A 15-track funk-fuelled compendium of rolling dancefloor-fillers that tributes to the jungle foundation moulding his early discography. Collaborations with the likes of I-Kay, Maduk, Ownglow, Times x Two and MC GQ, fuse with powerful doses of Danny’s hip-hop and R&B infused 174BPM productions. ‘Atomic Funk’ is undoubtedly Mr Byrd’s finest work to date and includes one of the biggest future D+B anthems ‘Holy Star’ that’s brought to life with vocal delights from MC Foxy.
‘Just A Step Away’ (ft. Ownglow) has become a silver bullet for the Byrd, taking a spotlight in his DJ sets as his finishing move. With its gorgeous vocals, volatile rave synths and humming sub-bass, it’s not hard to see why. However, that’s far from the only weapon in this legend’s locker. ‘Roll The Drums’ is a certified sub shaker bringing a fierce bassline and thundering percussion, plus there’s raw jungle madness with ‘In The Meantime’ (ft. Hannah Symons).
With fifteen incredible tracks from Hospital Records’ longest standing signing, ‘Atomic Funk’ is Danny Byrd at his best. Crafted for the dancefloor and feel-good from start to finish, a must-have for any true Hospital fan.

Camo & Krooked - Make The Call feat TC - OFFICIAL VIDEO
D+B MIX = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZ2k6RN5zPU
Like Camo & Krooked - http://www.facebook.com/CamoKrooked
Camo & Krooked "For the original "Make The Call" we wanted to experiment a bit and try something completely new to us. It is an indie-house influenced 4/4 tune switching into dubstep in the middle. TC is on the vocals and we are very proud to have him on board, as for us he is like one of the biggest legends in D+B - his productions are wicked and so is his unique voice.
We also have some remixes of the single, and as you might have noticed
we like to do them on our own so we can make sure they are bang on.
The D+B remix, wich is featured on the vinyl release goes in pretty hard and is the one to play as an intro or last tune of a DJ set to get people rowdy."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After blasting onto the Hospital map with their first single -- "All
Fall Down / Breezeblock" -- Camo & Krooked are back with another couple
of brilliant balls-out belters in the run up to the release of their
album -- "Cross The Line" (which is due to drop early October)
Rowdy as ever, this double A-side single shows the breadth and
brilliance of Camo & Krooked's sound as well as showcasing two of the
UK's hottest vocal talents.
First up Bristol based DJ, producer and vocalist TC steps up to the
mike on "Make The Call". Creaky SFX and squelchy bleeps, TC's
enticing, polished vocal booms out "I got to make the call". Taking
their influence outside the safety zone of drum+bass and looking to
dance music pioneers Daft Punk, as well as current UK acts like
Example for inspiration.

We are celebrating London Elektricity's debut album "Pull The Plug" which was released exactly 18 years ago. 1999, A time where Chris Goss was still part of the London Elektricity artist collective with Tony Colman before stepping aside to focus on the establishment of Hospital Records and global events brand Hospitality. Drum & Bass artists are still not allowed to smile on press shots however and Chris Goss probably still wouldn't pull off that turtle neck sweater.

"Well here it is. After 18 months of blood, sweat and losing all our friends, we bring you our album. We made the CD and Vinyl as if we were making different albums - we tried hard to make sure the cd sounds good in your home, caravan or houseboat. Here you have the golden moments of Song In The Key Of Knife, PBE, Pull The Plug, Brother Ignoramus and Dirty Dozen. We also bring you four new tunes : we've been recording Rewind for over a year, and an early version somehow managed to chart in Japan last year.
This song was inspired by 4 Hero's mix of “Blackgold Of The Sun”, and it features the amazing vocal talents of Lianne Caroll, a jazz-folk singer from Hastings, South England. The lyrics are about being addicted to the internet (don't say you haven't been warned). Lianne also tears it up on Do You Believe, which is our cover version and tribute to the Webster Lewis 23 minute original - seek it out now or you'll regret it when you get old and go deaf. Superstructure and Shakedown both feature the breakbeat precision of Landslide on the Mac. We're grooming Landslide for a life of champagne, fast cars and Latin flavoured breakbeat supremacy." - London Elektricity in 1999.

Buy or stream 'Interplanetary Radio' here: http://Unglued.lnk.to/InterplanetaryRadioyc
Hospital Records proudly present Unglued’s debut album ‘Interplanetary Radio’, built from a melting pot of his funk, soul, hardcore, jungle, jazz and drum & bass influences. He made his mark in 2018 bursting onto the scene with his infamous remix of High Contrast’s ‘If We Ever’, and Andy C favourite ‘Bootstrap Bill’. Now, through his groundbreaking fusion of futuristic sonic design and unmatchable old-school vibes, ‘Interplanetary Radio’ is born, an exciting journey through a heavy selection of breakbeats, basslines and BPMs that are quite frankly, out of this world. Featuring previous singles including ‘Total XTC’ and ‘Crusty Rolls (feat. Benny L & Javeon)’, as well as a stellar collection of never before heard tracks.
‘South By West’ is a jazzed-up roller drenched in glorious grooves and feel-good funk, a D&B version of the legendary jazz trumpeter Donald Byrd’s ‘Kofi’. Unglued’s ear for spotting and executing a top-shelf jazz recreation can be attributed to his broad musical tastes as he works sounds and styles from his ever-expanding influential canvas into the world of drum & bass.
R&B meets jungle on ‘Way Back When’ as Unglued teams up with rising star Esther Durin, whos talents have been picked up on by the likes of Capital XTRA and GRM Daily, as she supplies an immaculate vocal performance over lustrous synths, crisp cut breakbeats and mangled bass hits.
Edging closer to the sounds on which he cut his teeth, ‘Sunbathing In Space’ is a ruthless ripper with a relentless bassline, addictive gated vocal chops and precision crafted drum work. If you’ve been following Unglued from the start, this one's for you.
Euphoric from the get-go, ‘Reminisce’ pays homage to the foundations of jungle with rustic breaks, modulated rave-inspired pads and a soulful vocal line processed to perfection before the track takes a twist and lands in a world of bass-heavy badness.
Bouncing back to the nostalgic sound of the 90s, the suitably titled ‘H to the A to the R to the D to the C to the O to the R to the E’ is a nod back to Unglued’s jungle and hardcore inspirations. Classic basslines and crunchy drum breaks transport you to a warehouse rave in the summer of love.
Other notable album highlights include the already released, Annie Mac favourite ‘Total XTC’, as well as drum & bass super-collaboration ‘Crusty Rolls’ with Benny L and Javeon. SUNANDBASS inspired ‘Sardinian Sunrise’ features the legendary Singing Fats whilst trip-hop masterpiece ‘Think About It’ is peppered with the delightful vocals of Collette Warren.
With his debut album already brewing up a sense of excitement within the drum & bass community, Unglued’s productions are an essential go-to for an array of DJs. With support ranging from the likes of Andy C to Randall, DJ Marky to Noisia, his musical presence has made a mark across the full spectrum of 174BPM. No stranger to making moves on the airwaves, the Brighton-based sonic surgeon recently stepped up to deliver a ‘Brief History of Breakbeat’ mini-mix for Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1, not forgetting to mention his ‘Hottest Record In The World’ for his future classic ‘Born In ‘94’ ft MC Conrad, his B2B with Lens and Degs for the Hospital Records BBC Radio 1 Dance April takeover and frequent support from Rene LaVice and Charlie Tee. Unglued is on the fast track to the top of the game.

This is the ninth in a series of videos from the Nu:Logic album "What I've Always Waited For", which is due for release on Hospital Records on March 25th. Working with director Nez Savaşkan we wanted to create visual accompaniments for each of Nu:Logic's tunes which captured the vibe and feeling of each track. This resulted in a series of fourteen simple vignettes not conforming to the standard conventions you might expect from a promo video.
It's important to remember these are video edits... If you want the full Nu:Logic audio experience make sure you pre-order your copy of the new album now, here

Nu:Logic is a collaborative partnership between Hospital stalwarts Nu:Tone and Logistics. Individually, the Gresham brothers have released a total of seven long players already on Hospital, each to great critical acclaim. The sum of their combined powers is oozing with the kind of soulful drum + bass, which is the foundation of the Hospital label and will satisfy long term fans who hanker after the golden days of the genre.
Having brought us the Nu:Logic "New Technique" EP in 2010 and the recently released follow up single "Morning Light / Grizzly", the duo now bring us their highly anticipated debut album "What I've Always Waited For".
Opening with the calm, mellow soothing sounds of "Morning Light" we are taken through a variety of styles across the 14-track album. Vocal-driven cuts are peppered throughout the album and there's some top collaborations in there, including "Everlasting Days (ft. Lifford)" with its warm, uplifting vibe, the growling spoken swagger of "We Live There (ft. DRS)" and the blissed out "Shoot Me Down (ft. Robert Manos)".
Elsewhere, don't miss out on the excellent "Start Again (ft. S.P.Y)" with the raw, bass heavy menacing tones, as well as the meditative title track "What I've Always Waited For" which is all whirring atmospherics and pattering drums. Two interludes "Escape Pod" and "Dusk" successfully segment the album into thirds. With so many musical gems to choose from, one thing is for sure - this has been worth waiting for.

After a six-year hiatus, everyone’s favourite Hospital compilation returns. Witness the sickness, this is drum & bass, this is 'Sick Music 2018'.
With 24 brand new tracks, the series that brought the world early stories of Netsky, Wilkinson, Sigma and Fred V & Grafix is back. The heritage of this series speaks volumes, and 'Sick Music 2018' takes the quality to a whole new level. Filled to the brim with dangerous dubplates this full spectrum injection is a must have for each and every D+B devotee.
Hospital's leading dancefloor duke Danny Byrd has taken things straight back to ’99 with ‘Devil’s Drop’. Firing on all cylinders he's keeping it raw, rolling and funky. In a similarly devilish fashion we have 'Bootstrap Bill’ finally unleashed by the enigmatic Unglued. Unashamedly destructive and executed with precision, this track is more dangerous than Donald Trump drunk on Twitter.
In a perfect fusion of Hospital and Med School, we see Fred V & Grafix's 'Hurricanes (Wild Love)' re-worked with pristine precision by everyone’s favourite prodigy Keeno. Keeping the vibe level at eleven, Hugh Hardie's delivered the gorgeous ‘Nightingale’, both seductively simple and oozing with elegance.
‘Just One Second’ by London Elektricity gets its first re-work since the late Apex’s famous remix on the very first Sick Music. The beautiful track see’s a sterling contemporary edit and is a testament to Mitekiss’ talent.
This album also brings the first solo single from the biggest name in D+B right now, Kings Of The Rollers. Fiercely pushing into new territory ‘Burnt Ends’ has been causing carnage on the dancefloor, getting double wheel-ups from across the globe.
Joining this rich tapestry of exemplary D+B are both veteran composers and new blood alike including: Klute, Whiney, Urbandawn, Reso, Logistics, John B, and of course Hospital Records' commander-in-chief London Elektricity.
The release will be available across all formats but its grandest form will take that off the highly limited box set. Featuring a CD, the 4x12” plates, some box set only stickers and an exclusive T-shirt. One for the collectors, this is not a release to be overlooked.
