Since the release of his debut album ‘Interplanetary Radio’ in 2021, Unglued has continued to storm his way to the top of the drum & bass world with one of the most versatile back catalogues in the scene today. Stepping up with his first release of the year, a saucy selection of remixes and a VIP of three original classics from his album. Get ready to be catapulted into the stratosphere once again with Fixate’s remix of ‘Total XTC’, a Halogenix remix of ‘Way Back When (feat. Esther Durin)’ and Unglued’s D+B ‘V to the I to the P’ of his breakbeat banger ‘H to the A to the R to the D to the C to the O to the R to the E’.

First up is the Fixate remix of Unglued’s belter of an anthem, and Annie Mac favourite ‘Total XTC’. With the original racking up weeks upon weeks of consecutive spins on the BBC Radio 1, it was only right that underground dance music kingpin Fixate stands up to supply his tearout flip on the classic. Pounding four to the floor kick drums and the euphoria of the 90s rave vocal cuts build up into a breaks-infused drop complete with Fixate’s signature wobbler of a bassline. With his infamous refix of Double 99’s ‘Ripgroove’ championed by Sherelle, as well as countless other jungle inspired shredders including ‘What Goes Around’, ‘One for the Floor’ and ‘Hotfoot’ with Dub Phizix on Exit Records, Fixate’s remix of ‘Total XTC’ lives up to his legacy.

Soulful sonic supplier and drum & bass legend Halogenix works his magic on Unglued’s R&B-meets-jungle stepper ‘Way Back When’ featuring the immaculate vocal performance of future superstar Esther Durin. No stranger to carving out a killer remix following the successes of his spin on Kings Of The Rollers’ ‘Shella (feat. Chimpo)’ last year on the ‘H25PITAL’ compilation, his smooth liquid drum & bass rendition of ‘Way Back When’ is a flurry of luscious pad swells, the crispiest of drums and a bubbling bassline. Boasting one of the most respected discographies in modern drum & bass, Halogenix’s impressive accolades include his ‘Dragonforce’ EP home to hit single ‘Independent’, ‘The Night’, ‘Flames’ and ‘Out Of Line’ featuring Hospital’s newest signing SOLAH, ‘Her Waves’ and many more released across the likes of Critical, 1985 and Must Make Music.

Bringing his ‘Interplanetary Radio’ ripper ‘H to the A to the R to the D to the C to the O to the R to the E’ up to drum & bass speed, Unglued’s VIP of his nostalgic album original sees a whirlwind of new bass licks and sped up breakbeats that will take you straight back to the summer of love. It goes without saying that Unglued’s ability to deliver a remix or VIP to intergalactic standard is unparalleled, with his infamous High Contrast ‘If We Ever’ remix being one of the many catalysts for his meteoric rise to the top.

Unglued’s debut album released in the summer of last year took the world of drum & bass and beyond by storm, racking up a never-ending list of A-list DJ support from the likes of High Contrast, Flava D, Sigma, Danny Byrd, Doc Scott, Etherwood, Pola & Bryson, Degs, Lens and more. ‘Interplanetary Radio’ took to the airwaves countless times with top tastemaker endorsement from Annie Mac who Unglued delivered a ‘Brief History of Breakbeat’ minimix for, Gilles Peterson, René LaVice, Shadow Child, Charlie Tee and more. The Brighton-based bass bringer continues to supply his iconic sonics into 2022!
