___
Skantia steps up with his first single of 2020, drawing upon his signature sound and beginning the year at an enviable pace. Following his appearance on the RAM Rave EP Pt.2 with 'Star Blue', 'Power Line' built momentum via socials and eager ID hunters in groups like DNB Talk, which led to it being another anticipated Skantia release. With its drawn-out bass notes and heavy distortion, it’s a certified dancefloor shaker, having already proven itself throughout club season.
Continuing to establish himself as a huge part of the Ram roster, Skantia sets himself up for another phenomenal year with 'Power Line'.

With a combined history that expands over decades, Calyx & TeeBee's discography is a journey which explores not only their own output, but the genre's history. Having remixed commercial heavyweights such as Example, as well as underground tastemaker Tchami whilst blending genres and paying homage to their extensive craft, their experience is rivalled by none.
And yet again they continue their assault and return onto the scene with one of the most sought after tracks since its first play last year. Featuring the dancefloor genre talents of Doctor, who's recently smashed his way onto the daytime radio airwaves, 'Where We Go' is a collaboration set to end the summer in spectacular style.
An impressively innovative sonic piece of artwork, 'Where We Go' signifies another step towards the hugely anticipated '1X1' LP. Crafting Doctor's party-style vocals on top of an LFO-lead bassline and pounding drum patterns the first drop plummets you down a chasm so intricately constructed there's no mistaking the duo's signature production standard. One of the most epitomical moments from this year's EDC, especially for representing drum & bass, there's no mistaking the collective sigh of relief that it's finally about to be unleashed.
Showcasing their impressive versatility, the flipside is just as impressive but a shade darker. 'Ghost Writer' utilises an imposing sample which sets up a break before smashing it down with pounding subs between a distorted bassline and elevated percussion. An early morning anthem which takes you in the murkiest corner of every club across the globe, it bares its teeth whilst propelling itself forward in a way which only Calyx & TeeBee can command.
So, here's to another single before the duo yet again flex their production muscle across the worldwide electronic charts. With the last few singles in tow, as well as this imposing next release, '1X1' is looking to assert itself as one of the most resounding LP's in the Ram imprints history.

After a plethora of stinging singles taken from it, the Teddy Killerz are ready to drop their debut album ‘Nightmare Street’ on Ram; and rest assured it lives up to the hype and more. Drawing from across the bass music spectrum the TK hybrid sound fuses the fiercest of drum & bass with tough broken beats, metal and some of the most breathtaking vocals coutesy of Ayah Marar, Lena Cullen and Laurent John. Manoeuvring from tracks such as the dance floor ready ‘Unbelievable’ or the ‘King Is Back’ to the euphoric feels of ‘Forever’ and respite of ‘Stockholm’s electronic soul, the Teddy Killerz have delivered a truly dynamic long player that clearly marks their card as one of the A-list production power houses in drum & bass and bass music today.
“We are extremely happy to finally present our debut album ‘Nightmare Street’. It's been 2 years in the making - constantly working on something, updating, adding new elements. The end result is pure 2017 TK sound! We’re more than just D&B producers, we love and listen to so many genres so this album has a lot of influences & and the results are a mix of not only D&B but also dubstep, trap, mid tempo & other styles. We had a great time making the LP, hope you enjoy listening!” Teddy Killerz 2017
About Teddy Killerz: Having kick-started their career with releases on OWSLA and later on Ram’s sister label Program, TK have reached a diverse audience delivering a huge spectrum of music. Further pushed into the spotlight by their remix of Skrillex’s ‘Ragga Bomb’, their work on Modestep’s ‘London Road’, more remix work for Noisia and Foreign Beggars’ I Am Legion project and their huge recent remix of Noisia’s ‘Tentacles’, the debut TK album ‘Nightmare Street’ looks set to cement their mark this year as a major production force in drum & bass.

Upgrade
What It Means / Thunder
RAMM38
___
For Upgrade’s next single on Ram Records, he again explores the full scope of his artistry with ‘What It Means’ and ‘Thunder’. First debuting on Ram as part of their annual compilation series, then moving to his first standalone single on the imprint, he’s now a regular part of its release schedule. With the harder throes of ‘You Got Me’ providing the more dancefloor essence of his production, ‘Thunder’ follows the same vibe whilst ‘What it Means’ focuses more on the vocal-led melodies like his previous single ‘Won’t Hold Back’.
Whilst ‘Won’t Hold Back’ introduced Upgrade’s vocals into the mix, ‘What it Means’ sees him continue this route, with it becoming a defining feature of the track’s musicality. ‘Thunder’, on the other hand, presents the single’s aggressive flip. Together, they deliver a brand-new addition to the Ram catalogue for Upgrade, now a definitive part of its roster.

James Pountney aka Culture Shock has gone from the passing of an unmarked demo, to arguably the drum & bass scene’s most ground-breaking producer. Since his first release on Moving Shadow in 2004, Culture Shock has consistently pushed boundaries with his sonic artwork, creating a diverse discography which has become symbolic within one of the UK’s most withstanding genres.
The release of the SEQUENCE represents his most accomplished work to date, with the bundle including all six tracks from the SEQUENCE series released over the past 18 months. These include the Radio 1 Hottest Record ‘There For You’, club mainstays ‘Get Physical’ & ‘Take Control’, and ‘Bunker’, one of the most successful tracks of the last five years.
With his most recent single ‘Renaissance’ still being championed by Annie Mac, the bundle also features another electric Culture Shock original in ‘Neighbourhood’, as well as a jungle rework of ‘There For You’ courtesy of man of the moment Breakage, and an explosive techno remix of ‘Bunker’ from WEHBBA.
To coincide with the release, Culture Shock hosted SEQUENCE to a sold out room 1 of the iconic fabric nightclub in London on May 24th, ahead of a hectic Summer touring schedule featuring EDC Las Vegas, Creamfields, Nass, Beats For Love and Eastern Electrics.
Quentin Hiatus
Mango Ice Cream EP
PRGRAM123
_____
Quentin Hiatus has already established himself as a staple within the Program camp, something which has been solidified by the high-reaching standards of his music. Hailing from across the Atlantic, he’s brought the US drum & bass flavours to Ram’s sister label as he adds his own twists to the imprint’s catalogue. The ‘Mango Ice Cream’ EP is his next body of work on Program and it pulls together the sounds which have made him such a fan favourite.
‘Get ur Life Together’ stands as an entry point with its half time tempo and lush textures, whilst the EP’s title-track centres around its synth patterns. Meanwhile, ‘People Remedy’ ducks and dives between its jaunty beat patterns as ‘Step Outside Please’ takes on a darker undertow. So once again, it’s time to get with the Program. Welcoming another massive package to its release schedule.

Chords has often been heralded as one of the most musically gifted artists on the Ram Records roster and having begun his journey via classical training as a child, it’s no surprise why his sounds are so technically impressive. Influenced by everything from soul to hip hop, his eclectic tastes shine through each one of his offerings, helping him to have a unique take on the 170bpm drum & bass genre.
Many listeners were concerned during his brief hiatus over the last few years; despite delivering tracks for Ram Records stellar compilation releases, his standalone releases became few and far between. But just like his music, Chords is multi-faceted. He’s an artist in the truest sense of the word and during his break from music making, he’d dedicated himself to the world of cinema. After receiving a prestigious award for his most recent short film, he decided to once again focus on music, signalling this next release on the prestigious Ram imprint.
‘Love Burning’ rolls out on old-school breaks, metallic pads and a winding, undiluted bassline, ebbing and flowing between carefully picked piano notes. Stabbing synths give the track a euphoric edge, pulling you deeper and deeper into Chords’ intricately woven composition. It’s a side of Chords’ which was previously unseen, although with a whole collection of records waiting to be released, you’re likely to see more of it in the coming months.
Chords is back and weightier than ever. For fans old and new, the anticipation for more music has exploded with this next release.

With ADE looming on the horizon, it only seemed apt for Ram to yet again provide the perfect drum and bass entrée for Europe's premium dance event. Set to bring another stellar line up from their roster, this compilation packed full of exclusives helps to epitomise the imprint's legacy within dance music. Including brand new cuts, demonstrating the Ram's longevity, this album plays homage to two decades of output.
Leading you deeper into the dark side of 2015, this year's Ramsterdam compilation not only pedestals the artists who've made such a titanic impact throughout the last ten months, but also the emerging talent from sister label Program and Ram's newest signees. Whether it's the old school, growling riddim from Aggressor Bunx, or Calyx & TeeBee's tell-tale, trembling bassline, each track gives the album a unique vantage point.
Featuring on the collosal track listing is Delta Heavy; an exclusive which relays their elevating, pumping composition, it's a dancefloor banger sure to detonate any crowd. And Frankee also makes a welcomed return, following the release of his anticipated single 'Downtown'. 'Raptor' is unforgiving, snapped up by different animalistic samples and stridently aggressive – pedestalling Frankee's unforgiving production standards.
On a totally different vibe, Freek is back with 'Born Different', a clanking yet powerful number, one which gears up into LFO-lead chaos with snapping percussion between each break. Brand new music from production outfits Teddy Killerz and Mind Vortex also make a very valuable addition, proving their unbridled talent, with merciless yet complex records that are fierce and gagging to be let loose on Amsterdam's clubs.
Two of this year's most resounding tracks from the Ram camp, Bensley's 'Aftermath' and Gerra & Stone's 'L.I.E.S.' have also received revamps, providing two anticipated VIPs already igniting sets worldwide. Loadstar also deliver the goods; brand new heavy-hitter 'Dune' demonstrates exactly why they've become such revered names across the genre.
So, here's to another Amsterdam Dance Event. One with a soundtrack provided by one of the most enduring labels, and stellar rosters, that dance music has played host to. And with Ram also holding a night this October, from first listen onwards prepare to be immerse yourself in Ram's vast musical environment.

Ram Trilogy 'Chase Scene' (Shimon Remix)
Standing as one of the most resounding electronic music labels in history, Ram Records has finally hit its 25-year milestone. Established by Andy C and Ant Miles in 1992, the label has boldly placed itself on the forefront since its inception, acting as a foundation for the drum & bass genre and seeing through its development from the very beginning.
Once heralded as a platform for Andy C’s own productions, the imprint expandedmassively, becoming a world-renowned hub for some of the biggest drum & bass artists to ever hit the scene. The label has gone from strength to strength, helping to pedestal house-hold names such as Chase & Status, Sub Focus and Wilkinson. From the charts to the radio airwaves, they’ve continued their crossover success.Receiving daytime airplay and top ten positions unceasingly over the last decade, the producers have enabled Ram’s influence to seep into every corner of dance music.
Alongside support from BMG and current label manager Jim Gash, 2017 has seen Ram Records ascend to new heights. And to celebrate their twenty fifth year, Ram will be rereleasing twenty five original remastered classics from their definitive back catalogue as well as seventeen remixes, including reworks from Chase & Status, Killbox, DC Breaks, Frankee, Total Science, Benny L, Kasra and Enei, Ant Miles and Shimon, Bladerunner, DJ Marky Calyx & Teebee, Sound in Noise and Metrik. All in, it’s Ram’s most ambitious project to date.
The 25th year of Ram’s history is looking to be its most memorable yet. Both musically and through their major city UK tour dates, Ram’s versatile roster is still being pushed to new borders. Quarter of a century on and the record label is as strong as ever.

The waiting is finally over… We're about to unleash your soundtrack for the next Music week in Miami and it's packed full of exclusives. With no less than 28 brand new cuts accompanying you onto one of the world's hottests beaches, prepare for the smooth riding riddims of Ram Records to envelop the US and beyond.
From label stalwarts Delta Heavy, to new signees Teddy Killerz and championed guests Gerra & Stone, there's a musical taste to suit every palette. Whether it's from a renowned roster artist or a relative newcomer, this compilation bursting with heaps of exclusives is the only way to launch you headfirst into the innovation drum & bass is renowned for.
Carefully finessing this album, the Ram imprint is about to drum & bass for a transatlantic journey. It's a showcase of what the genre can offer… electric vibes which pulses through its veins and cherished memories of a tempo which pulls you into the morning's early hours.
But with the Miami conference pedestalling every major genre which has made electronic music so popular, there would be a void if Ram didn't step up. And as one of the most withstanding labels from the last two decades, they've delivered with immense style. You're provided with a host of smooth basslines and hotly tantalising vocals to take you from pool-party to clubs at some of the most renowned districts.
Audio is first to deliver, crashing in at full speed and leaving no survivors with the tear out anthem which is 'Combust'. Then taking you into a web of technicality and meticulous composition is Calyx & Teebee's 'Wipe Out'. There are also a huge selection of Vips to firmly solidify why it's important to revisit tunes which are still to this day so highly sought after; leading the way is Loadstar's 'Under Pressure' Vip, which set a stunning precedent in 2014.
So, now it's time take the legacy of Hornchurch to Miami and lay down the same roots which are still prevalent throughout the UK today. And adding that to Miami's reputation, it's a match which is set to make history.

What is RAMlive?
Launching tonight - RAMLive is our brand-new project showcasing some of the amazing talent we have on and around the label. Initially started as a way to give good DJ's who don't produce a platform, our aim is to cultivate all talent from a grass roots level and give something back to the Drum & Bass community: doesn't matter who you are – the door is open to everyone.
Streamed via simulcast on Facebook and YouTube at the start of each month and filmed direct from the Green Room at XOYO, RAMLive will bring you a host of up-and-coming acts – plus some established names – where the focus is purely on the art of DJing. An ethos the team at RAM strongly believe in.
Talent in the studio doesn't always translate to talent on the decks, and vice versa. With RAMLive our goal is to help DJ's who don't produce, and producers who can really throw down on the decks, a chance to break through with some nurturing from the ground up. Hopefully with our help they can go onto more recognition, more bookings and continue to perform and develop after their showcase.
RAMLive kicks off with the super talented Nedd, flexing his skills across four CDJ's. Nedd was discovered after making a name for himself on Facebook with his ever popular 'Five Minute Friday' mix videos. "He's a bit of a wizard behind the decks and absolutely has it. He's got the party vibe about him and he plays across the board – liquid, neuro, jump up. You name it, he plays it. You'll be in for a treat!"
Alongside live DJ sets, RAMLive will also be covering video content such as interviews, producer sessions, live events and loads more.
Do you know a really good DJ who should be getting some much-deserved love? Think you can hold your own behind the decks? Then why not get in touch with the RAM team. Email us a link to your skills with the subject heading 'RAMLive Submissions' to info@ramrecords.com

2014 stands as a defining moment for the RAM Records imprint. Not only did it announce the pivotal signing of artists like Audio, Teddy Killerz and Bensley but they also oversaw the birth of compilation series RAMLife hosted by Loadstar. Even in its first form, it contained nearly every essential release the last twelve months had to offer.
But this year, RAMLife is taking you into deeper and murkier dimensions. Having already flexed his production muscle on the ricocheting, four-track 'Nil by Mouth' EP, as well as his first visual debut in the music video for 'Heads Up', it's now time for Audio to cut open and expose his musical psyche.
Including some of the most aggressive, technically adept and prominent artists the genre has to offer, including Bad Company, Optiv & BTK and Noisia to name a few, no stone goes unturned for the album's entirety. Audio also throws bass-fuelled bullets in the form of exclusives, with explosive VIPs that have yet to be released.
But what can you expect from the man who garners such an explosive reputation across the club circuit? Audio brings his live personality into the whole album and accompanying mix; one that doesn't let you pause for breath. They're a collection of tracks that'll leave an atomic bomb sized impression inside the community, which further solidifies his reputation as an ever- growing, unstoppable goliath.

Bensley - 'Ascension'
Bensley’s ‘Ascension’ opens yet another door for the Ram Records producer’s coveted story. It started with an online demo being passed along to the imprint’s head Andy C and his debut single being showcased on Zane Lowe’s primetime BBC Radio 1 slot. The newcomer’s debut LP ‘Next Generation’ was soon to follow, and was met with critical acclamation throughout both press and radio. Bensley’s namesake has only grown, with the producer becoming a pinnacle part of leftfield DJ sets and symbolising the next generation of the Ram Records roster.
On his forthcoming single, Bensley aims to further broaden his creative repertoire as he explores yet another avenue unheard by his fans: strictly dancefloor. In terms of its production, ‘Ascension’ highlights an incredibly hardwired sound design which can be heard right through to the track’s skeleton. Touching on themes of constant build and suspense, the track pulls you down on a much darker journey to those that Bensley might usually lead you. Whilst drawing from his already solid foundation in musical engineering, ‘Ascension’ unveils a new dimension to Bensley’s identity.
With another digital single adding to a discography which stands strong with his more longstanding predecessors, Bensley returns alongside a refreshing take on his original moniker.

Eject EP
RAMM373
Stream/buy: https://RAM.lnk.to/ejectID
___
The relationship between Mob Tactics and Ram has stretched throughout the years, with the duo becoming regulars amongst the label’s index. They now make another appearance on the label, after the release of their ‘Ram Rave’ exclusive and the success of their breaks-heavy single ‘LDN Bass’. Although this time, it’s for a four-track EP, their biggest body of work to date on ram and one which solidifies their connection with the imprint. From the chaotic, footwork inspired sounds of ‘Thumper’, through to the steppy note rhythms of ‘Clipped’, there’s a taste to fit every palette. With its futuristic samples, ‘Eject’ follows whilst ‘Bulldozer’ focuses on its fluctuating, bass-heavy impact. Mob Tactics now sit firmly within the Ram moniker and their ‘Eject’ EP signifies exactly why.
