After a plethora of stinging singles taken from it, the Teddy Killerz are ready to drop their debut album ‘Nightmare Street’ on Ram; and rest assured it lives up to the hype and more. Drawing from across the bass music spectrum the TK hybrid sound fuses the fiercest of drum & bass with tough broken beats, metal and some of the most breathtaking vocals coutesy of Ayah Marar, Lena Cullen and Laurent John. Manoeuvring from tracks such as the dance floor ready ‘Unbelievable’ or the ‘King Is Back’ to the euphoric feels of ‘Forever’ and respite of ‘Stockholm’s electronic soul, the Teddy Killerz have delivered a truly dynamic long player that clearly marks their card as one of the A-list production power houses in drum & bass and bass music today.

“We are extremely happy to finally present our debut album ‘Nightmare Street’. It's been 2 years in the making - constantly working on something, updating, adding new elements. The end result is pure 2017 TK sound! We’re more than just D&B producers, we love and listen to so many genres so this album has a lot of influences & and the results are a mix of not only D&B but also dubstep, trap, mid tempo & other styles. We had a great time making the LP, hope you enjoy listening!” Teddy Killerz 2017

About Teddy Killerz: Having kick-started their career with releases on OWSLA and later on Ram’s sister label Program, TK have reached a diverse audience delivering a huge spectrum of music. Further pushed into the spotlight by their remix of Skrillex’s ‘Ragga Bomb’, their work on Modestep’s ‘London Road’, more remix work for Noisia and Foreign Beggars’ I Am Legion project and their huge recent remix of Noisia’s ‘Tentacles’, the debut TK album ‘Nightmare Street’ looks set to cement their mark this year as a major production force in drum & bass.

After gracing the Ram Records back catalogue with his addition to ‘Ram Records Goes to Let it Roll EP 2.0’, Sound in Noise is moving through the ranks alongside his first standalone single on Ram’s definitive platform.

Twenty five years in the making, Ram’s reputation has pushed itself into dance music’s forefront, with it becoming one of the most exceptional imprints to push the drum & bass sound worldwide. And their roster has developed beside the genre, with exclusive signings and special guests helping to diversify the set of releases Ram unleashes onto its huge fan base. And Sound in Noise adds his twist to an already impressive back catalogue of cuts with his forthcoming single; his unforgiving, sonically charged records bring Ram into the contemporary era, providing a jagged edge to a history which has spanned over quarter of a century.

A-side ‘Duppy Bass’ begins with creeping atmospherics, and rolling breaks which make themselves gradually known. A smashing, jungle-esque drop and pumping drum patterns pull you deep into a reverberating, metallic bassline which pulses and stands out prominently against the mix. The added snipped up, distorted ragga samples only add to the dancefloor appeal against its throbbing stabs. The Estonian producer nods to the old-school whilst adding a new flavour with his incredibly powerful engineering, presenting himself as a hard-driving yet multi-faceted artist.

On the reverse, Sound in Noise presents the other side of his musicality with ‘Rising Up’. Featuring female vocal talents and electronically tuned notes, it’s vastly different from its forerunner but still hits just as hard with every stab of euphoric synth. Each layer of melody carries the track forward, providing you with the perfect soundtrack for a slowly diminishing summer. Together, Ram Records and Sound in Noise yet again push forward their commitment to drum & basses many dimensions, with both sides continuing to prove their longevity.

Ram Trilogy 'Huggy Bear' (DJ Marky Remix)

Standing as one of the most resounding electronic music labels in history, Ram Records has finally hit its 25-year milestone. Established by Andy C and Ant Miles in 1992, the label has boldly placed itself on the forefront since its inception, acting as a foundation for the drum & bass genre and seeing through its development from the very beginning.

Once heralded as a platform for Andy C’s own productions, the imprint expandedmassively, becoming a world-renowned hub for some of the biggest drum & bass artists to ever hit the scene. The label has gone from strength to strength, helping to pedestal house-hold names such as Chase & Status, Sub Focus and Wilkinson. From the charts to the radio airwaves, they’ve continued their crossover success.Receiving daytime airplay and top ten positions unceasingly over the last decade, the producers have enabled Ram’s influence to seep into every corner of dance music.

Alongside support from BMG and current label manager Jim Gash, 2017 has seen Ram Records ascend to new heights. And to celebrate their twenty fifth year, Ram will be rereleasing twenty five original remastered classics from their definitive back catalogue as well as seventeen remixes, including reworks from Chase & Status, Killbox, DC Breaks, Frankee, Total Science, Benny L, Kasra and Enei, Ant Miles and Shimon, Bladerunner, DJ Marky Calyx & Teebee, Sound in Noise and Metrik. All in, it’s Ram’s most ambitious project to date.

The 25th year of Ram’s history is looking to be its most memorable yet. Both musically and through their major city UK tour dates, Ram’s versatile roster is still being pushed to new borders. Quarter of a century on and the record label is as strong as ever.

After a landmark 2016 Delta Heavy set their sights on the new year with the release of latest single 'Kaleidoscope'. Musically the tracks represent a departure from the violent sounds of their most recent work, as the duo return to the epic, vocal-led style of their album highlight, White Flag.

Joining this single is a remix from Rene LaVice. Ram Records neighbour Rene LaVice engineers his crushing snare and clattering reese bass for his rework of 'Kaleidoscope'.

SyRan - 'Guitar Dub'

Listen:
https://RAM.lnk.to/guitardub-emissaryID

SyRan are one of the newest duos on the Ram roster, but their upfront, undeniably bass heavy selections have enabled them to rise to notoriety in just a short space of time. Sitting within the records of the legendary imprint, they’re about to follow up their debut and sophomore releases with another single that proves they’re here to take no prisoners once more.

With manic rave stabs and clambering breaks, ‘Guitar Dub’ sits first with a strung-out bassline slicing through the record’s core. Meanwhile sitting on the flipside is ‘Emissary’, a different vibe from its predecessor through its low-stepping subs and grinding LFOs (wait for the switch up at 1.28!). SyRan do what they do best and that’s take old-school influences and mold them through the new era’s lens – which is why they stand as one of the most exciting acts to come through Ram’s camp in recent years.

Let it Roll stands as the biggest drum & bass showcase the world has to offer. Welcoming thousands of music lovers from every corner of Europe, their stage aesthetics have proved year after year that they’re as impressive as the artists they host. With line ups that are seldom seen elsewhere, featuring staple heavyweights from every part of the genre’s spectrum, this isn’t a small feat. Friday’s opening ceremony has always been a defining moment for each festival goer, whether that’s an artist or fan. And this year, Ram Records’ stalwarts June Miller provided an open sequence for what turned out to be Let it Roll’s biggest year yet.
Following their debut LP on the Ram imprint, June Miller have only grown from strength to strength. Become an intrinsic part of the scene’s fabric, they’ve delivered monumental slices of bass which have resounded across their growing audience. After the climatic hit of their opening sequence, they’ve condensed the full show into five tracks for this next EP. So even if you missed it, prepare to blow your subs and reimagine the spectacle which opened the world’s largest meeting of sonic masterminds.
If you’d like to immerse yourself in the realms of June Miller and Let it Roll’s ferocity, the production outfit have delivered the sequence in full for the track listing’s first part. Otherwise, you’re introduction to June Miller’s Let it Roll EP is through ‘Hide & Seek’. It’s an animalistic tempo changer that pitches its way through warbling snare. ‘The Source’ rolls out next, a mechanical riddim that moves on top of distorted bass and pounding drum patterns. ‘Gods’ is an anarchist’s dream, with flurries of tinny beats and clanking kick. Gradually peaking and throwing you down crazy drops, June Miller are as intimidating as ever. ‘The Final Sequence’ wraps up all four separate partitions. With chanting ‘Let it Roll’ sample and a gradually grinding bassline, it’s an ominous affair. Although, after its successful delivery, you shouldn’t expect any less from the producers.
The meeting of Ram Records, June Miller and Let it Roll was never going to anything less than carefully crafted chaos. And now you can witness their formidability from your headphones.

Upgrade
What It Means / Thunder
RAMM38
___

For Upgrade’s next single on Ram Records, he again explores the full scope of his artistry with ‘What It Means’ and ‘Thunder’. First debuting on Ram as part of their annual compilation series, then moving to his first standalone single on the imprint, he’s now a regular part of its release schedule. With the harder throes of ‘You Got Me’ providing the more dancefloor essence of his production, ‘Thunder’ follows the same vibe whilst ‘What it Means’ focuses more on the vocal-led melodies like his previous single ‘Won’t Hold Back’.

Whilst ‘Won’t Hold Back’ introduced Upgrade’s vocals into the mix, ‘What it Means’ sees him continue this route, with it becoming a defining feature of the track’s musicality. ‘Thunder’, on the other hand, presents the single’s aggressive flip. Together, they deliver a brand-new addition to the Ram catalogue for Upgrade, now a definitive part of its roster.

Since its inception, the 'Killer Squad EP' was going to be undeniably huge. Featuring some of the most resounding names across drum & bass, it's a meeting of titans bringing together the scene's most mind-breaking production standards. Using these collaborations to pedestal their extensive experience across all musical platforms, this EP is a monumental landmark for Teddy Killerz journey.
Up first, sees a return of the formidable Teddy Killerz and June Miller super group. Deviating from the sound of their last joint single release and demonstrating the vast repertoire they're able to tap into, it's a driving riddim which ducks, dives and dashes between breaks. Unrelenting with rave-style reece and a stocky baseline taking you forward, it's the perfect starter for what's yet to come.
'Sputnik' sees Teddy Killerz partner with historical figurehead Gridlok, who heads up this nitty roller underpinned with distorted bass and lofty stabs. Teddy Killerz bring their techy, crunching personality amongst systematic breakdowns and elevating beat patterns. Nefarious, yet ingeniously built, 'Sputnik' will take you into the morning's earliest hours.
The merging of Teddy Killerz and Audio's fearsome talent brings expected results, but they're no less devastating. Flipped samples and clanking percussion dip between reverberating kick drum. Nastily slick, 'Bugs' is robotic in design and remorseless in its application.
Then comes the enormity of Icicle's brooding, cleverly progressing dynamic for 'Louder', which rolls out next. It's lumbering yet tight in its composition, proving the Eps versatility whilst also demonstrating why Teddy Killerz brought Icicle on board. Amongst chaotic pits of LFO, it's stocky and clanking, adding more weight to the track listing.
The long awaited Annix collaboration announces itself. Angry, undiluted and the type of jump up which detonates any drum & bass, this fresh cut explodes on impact. Sophisticated yet littered with warbling synth and percussion which acts as a call to arms, it's a dancefloor anthem for the globe most notorious spots.
And lastly, comes the Czech supernova Counterstrike. Well known for administrating a darkly eclectic style on the decks, he brings the same energy for 'Horror Show'. Aptly named, your aural nerves are grated by its foreboding intro, launching you head first through a mix of pounding kick drum and distortion. A final gasp before its climatic ending, it's ends the EP on ricocheting crescendo. The message is clear. Teddy Killerz are back, and they've brought with them a host of new toys to play with…

Sound In Noise - '13'

Sound In Noise
Shapes Pt.2
RAMM370

The success of Sound in Noise’s ‘Shapes EP’ on Ram Records saw the Estonian producer once again establish himself as a defining part of the roster’s new wave of artists, those who are bringing in a new era. With support from imperative industry figures such as BBC Radio 1 and US blogging behemoth Your EDM, the follow up has been hotly anticipated after the critical acclaim of its first edition. This November part two is dropping and with it comes four brand new tracks from the producer, the type of which redefine the Sound in Noise style and expose an even wider sonic language.
From the growling patches of static bass peddled throughout '13', through to the VIP treatment given to ‘Duppy Bass’, Sound In Noise comes with a host of fresh offerings on the Ram Records moniker. Sitting in between these cuts, ‘Space Cadet’ featuring Jon Hazel gives the EP more dancefloor-centred hooks whilst ‘Magicman’ with its guttural bassline and chiselled drum patches adds another darker undertow. They round off a project which alludes to why Sound in Noise has developed into a fan favourite within the Ram Records roster - following his exclusive signing and succession of high calibre releases on the imprint.

https://twitter.com/Bensley_Music

With Zane Lowe pedestalling the first glimpse into Bensley's diverse soundscape, 'Fandango' was a precursor for this forthcoming debut. 'Next Generation' is a bold move; with drum & bass being a genre which has certainly stood the test of time, newcomers have incredibly big shoes to fill. However, Bensley incorporates an innovative and incredibly intricate set of production skills to hold a title of his own.
But what can you expect from an artist who was signed after sending a single demo to revered label head Andy C. That's despite having no previous releases or having any other music available to stream online. He was somewhat of a mystery.
'Fandango' was that track. And it was premiered as a world exclusive on leading tastemaker Radio1, which followed with support from the likes of Mistajam on 1xtra, as well as DJs on both Kiss and XFM.
Already demonstrating his widespread appeal with just one track, his air of mystery is now about to be broken. He's definitely an anomaly; being only nineteen and having impressed so many people.
'Next Generation' is a 10-track journey through an impressively diverse soundscape. Whether it's half-time breakdowns or the incorporation if cross genre-pollination it shows an astounding ability which will not go unrecognised.
From the opening bars of 'Wildfire', to the softly spoken pads and atmospheric note arpeggios of 'Rain Dance', then wrapped up by aptly named closing track 'Aftermath', there's no denying Bensley's masterful artistry.
Title-track 'Next Generation' leads you by the hand with snippets of humanistic sample, flowing in and out of its construct. It's built upon by striking note progressions, a relaying of patterns which chop and change the mix. Carefully placed subs add impact, with emphasis given on each break, carrying the track forward down a steep drop with each slab of bass.
Drawing together a dizzying and fresh array of new sounds, this album indicates why Bensley is a forerunner within the new generation of music comers. Its representative of the fast paced technological setting of music production he grew up around; it also proves that Bensley is able to tap into dimensions which are often unheard of in other bodies of work.

Following is the more melodic throws of ‘Grasshopper’ and the jungle inspired breaks of ‘Strictly Vibes’ alongside Dread MC's vocal call to arms. ‘Funk Town’ is the final delivery, spearheading the grooves which have made Smooth’s production ooze with such danceability. Four new tracks to kick off the New Year, Smooth provides an EP that pays homage to Ram's recognisable sound.
