For PROGRAM’s next release we welcome a true pillar of the tech-driven side of drum & bass to the label, with SKYNET delivering a pair of ruthlessly effective tracks - STUCK IN MIND and UNDERGROUND - as a 2 track single. Richly laced with the depth of technique and a level of musicality that only comes with an extensive talent and years of experience in audio manipulation, this is a release that thrusts Skynet back to the forefront of the scene with the taste-defining Program label cutting that path.

‘Stuck in Mind’’s haunting intro, with its verdant Asian vocal and fluorescent pads incepts a complex nocturnal cyberpunk vision, cut through by a lean undulating reese that ushers in a roller of technological purity that’s at once both nostalgic and cutting edge.

‘Underground’ wears sleek racing stripes proudly, with an understated but insistent intermittent synthline setting the tension, ridden by a paranoid posthuman vocal sample that beckons the subdued power of a masterfully restrained, but complex and heavy drop in Skynet’s signature style.

Skynet is an artist who has had an indelible effect on the drum & bass genre, a creator involved in forging the very foundations of tech-step, with past seminal releases to his name such as his Voyager LP, that retain a significant place in the history of this sound. With his return to the scene and development of new material that brings his sound back to the surgical edge of audio technology and dancefloor manipulation, it’s firm proof that timelessness is truly timeless. So once again, it’s time to get with the Program.

Standing as one of the most resounding electronic music labels in history, Ram Records has finally hit its 25-year milestone. Established by Andy C and Ant Miles in 1992, the label has boldly placed itself on the forefront since its inception, acting as a foundation for the drum & bass genre and seeing through its development from the very beginning.

Once heralded as a platform for Andy C’s own productions, the imprint expandedmassively, becoming a world-renowned hub for some of the biggest drum & bass artists to ever hit the scene. The label has gone from strength to strength, helping to pedestal house-hold names such as Chase & Status, Sub Focus and Wilkinson. From the charts to the radio airwaves, they’ve continued their crossover success.Receiving daytime airplay and top ten positions unceasingly over the last decade, the producers have enabled Ram’s influence to seep into every corner of dance music.

Alongside support from BMG and current label manager Jim Gash, 2017 has seen Ram Records ascend to new heights. And to celebrate their twenty fifth year, Ram will be rereleasing twenty five original remastered classics from their definitive back catalogue as well as seventeen remixes, including reworks from Chase & Status, Killbox, DC Breaks, Frankee, Total Science, Benny L, Kasra and Enei, Ant Miles and Shimon, Bladerunner, DJ Marky Calyx & Teebee, Sound in Noise and Metrik. All in, it’s Ram’s most ambitious project to date.

The 25th year of Ram’s history is looking to be its most memorable yet. Both musically and through their major city UK tour dates, Ram’s versatile roster is still being pushed to new borders. Quarter of a century on and the record label is as strong as ever.

The forthcoming album Different Breed from DC Breaks has been years in the making. Featuring a massive fifteen tracks and including some of their best loved singles from recent years, DC Breaks have delivered a massive feat that will ensure their place within the drum & bass anthology. From their song writing ability to their wide-ranging DJ support, the producers’ output has shone through in playlists across the dance music spectrum. From BBC Radio1’s Annie Mac, to 1xtra’s Mistajam and revered music icon Zane Lowe, they’ve received a plethora of A-list spins.

Having made multiple festival appearances across the last two years, including NASS, Arcadia Glastonbury, Beyond Wonderland and Prague’s infamous Let it Roll, they’ve become a staple on the DJ circuit. They’ve teased many album tracks out to huge crowds of drum & bass lovers, taking festival sets into vocal crescendos and sonic annihilation with their hard-hitting, no holds-barred anthems.
Including their recent collaboration with underground heavyweight Prolix for Infinity, the renowned VIP for DC Breaks’ classic Gambino, the jump-up vibes of Underground and the uplifting-melodies of Never Stop (which helped to sound track the Olympics, Formula 1 and Match of the Day) and Everybody, Different Breed also includes huge array of fresh cuts. Dipping their feet once again into the world of neuro, MC Nuklear joins them on Dead or Alive for an intimidating cut whilst Vendetta moulds their signature basslines into an even darker realm. Remember, Step Up, Organism and Hustle also jump into the fray, proving that DC Breaks discography still has its grittier side that snaps its jaws with every break.

On the other end of the spectrum sits records like Time to Kill ft. Diane Birch, who offers her climatic high-notes for a dynamic roller, as well as Moving On and No One Like You ft. Niara Scarlett, adding a soulful dash to an already impressive set of featuring artists. And lastly, SWAG 2017 makes an appearance, a rework of the track which catapulted DC Breaks onto Beatport’s number one position for a month.

Different Breed will stand as a testament to not just their longevity, but their experience and growth as artists throughout decades. Released on Ram Records, another resounding name within the electronic scene, their debut LP will be met with anticipation from both old and new fans. It also signifies another monumental part of their journey. A journey not looking to be over anytime soon.

June Miller
1: Saus 2: Ups & Downs 3: Bad Brains 4: The Promise Ring

The introductions are over; June Miller are back and there's no apology. They've reappeared having been stooped in solitary confinement; presenting a handful of cuts, only to prove that this was brutally productive and they've been working hard to follow up their last release.
Bare-knuckled and still swinging, this EP sees June Miller entering round three and raising the bar yet another level. The precursor to their forthcoming album, from 'The Promise Ring' to the resounding brass of 'Saus', it certainly sets a precedent.
Rolling out first is a record featuring Mefjus, a production freight-train who's been setting the competition alight in recent months. 'Saus' is no different, with June Miller intertwining a tightly compact composition which smashes your synapses on impact. Rattling through on tracks of unhinged percussion, prepare yourself for a musical excursion which will take you through the darkest depths of drum and bass. But what else could you expect, when the talents of June Miller and Mefjus are so effortlessly combined?
Coming up next, title-track 'Ups & Downs' shows the pair's ability to completely flip an emotive vocal sample onto its back. The way they use this sound component shows undiluted ingenuity, creating a totally different impact with every switch. It begins through a wave of static, with a break that slowly leads you up a drum-paved crescendo. Then it pounds, drops and pulls you up just as quickly, creating dynamics which merge to create an electronic masterpiece.
Then we're introduced to 'Bad Brains'. There's no denying why this track has been used to intro so many sets over the past year. It winds up with an intimidating compactness, before springing you into chaos. Bludgeoning beats roll with each bar set and there's no escape from its driving onslaught. This track is instantly recognisable on first listen, alluding to June Miller's ever-growing profile.
And lastly, we have 'The Promise Ring'. Adding a sexier vibe to its predecessors, the producers have yet again showed there's a hidden depth to their musicality. Snapping, tapping and with a female vocal oozing between carefully layered constructs, it's a nod to their huge reel of ability. This last reaffirms that their debut album is sure to feature some of the most perfectly crafted, versatile music the Ram imprint has to offer.

Killbox
Rodan
RAMM410
https://ram.lnk.to/killbox-rodanYT

‘Rodan’ is the final testament of Killbox’s explosive second album under the Ram Records banner, before its eventual release in late Spring. And it's another introspective look into the journeys of Ed Rush and Audio, from their beginnings as solo artists decades prior. With ‘Pleasure Palace’ sitting in the backdrop, they’ve since continued to bring forward their game changing engineering into contemporary standards and their pivotal next LP ‘Devine Profits’ is the result of this transition.

With an eerie roll out, dropping amongst bowing layers of bass and thumping drum beats, Killbox demonstrate their weight once again with ‘Rodan’. Back in the familiar, dark landscape which Killbox reigns over, ‘Rodan’ is an expansion of this sound - and 'Divine Profits' is the end destination.

The annual drum & bass mecca is nearly upon us. Every year, thousands of drum & bass revellers descend on Prague’s Let it Roll festival, a gathering which has expanded and become one of the genre’s largest celebrations. The global drum & bass elite meet for three days of explosive line ups. And once again the definitive imprint Ram Records is taking over with their groundbreaking roster, preparing to unleash their formidable sounds onto Let it Roll’s vast audience.

It’s not just the live aspect which makes Let it Roll such a revered part of the drum & bass world; it’s the releases which help build anticipation for the festival. This year, Ram Records delivers another four track EP to set the mood for their forthcoming takeover, featuring special guests and Ram’s renowned names for an explosive introduction to the Let it Roll experience.

Teddy Killerz and Signal offer up their collaboration ‘Funky Feeling’. Whilst Teddy Killerz has dominated 2017 with their debut Ram Records LP ‘Nightmare Street’, Signal has become a household name after winning the coveted ‘Best Newcomer’ prize at the 2016 Drum & Bass Arena Awards. Two formidable forces come together to provide a smashing, tech-driven piece which solidifies Ram’s reputation as a pedestal for innovative music.

The EP provides a snapshot into what Ram has in store for Let it Roll –let them soundtrack the countdown. And with roster stalwarts Calyx & Teebee taking on the opening ceremony, this year will be the biggest yet for the label with the clock ticking for their Czech invasion.

AC13 - 'Akimbo'
Pre save - https://ram.lnk.to/ac13IN
___

AC13 makes his debut on RAM Records, a meeting of two figures with one being a highly established name who’s risen through the ranks in recent years, whilst the other has nearly 30 years of history as a leading label within the drum & bass genre. It’s the meeting of two camps, one which was inevitable.

'Akimbo' and ‘Transition’ ft. Brighton based Eazy are the tracks which AC13 presents to make his first mark within the RAM echelons. Already receiving support from names such as Andy C, Bou and Serum, at mainstay venues such as Printworks and Forbidden 42, both tracks have already been tested throughout the New Zealand club and festival circuit this year. With ‘Akimbo’ first introducing AC13 to the RAM catalogue with its chaotic, flipping drums and guttural bass pads, on the flipside, 'Transitions' featuring Eazy is just as powerful through its raw grittiness. Standing tall with the heavyweights, AC13 makes a stamping entrance, bringing with him his signature for the RAM seal of approval.

Killbox - 'Yard Stick'

Taken from the Killbox album 'Divine Profits'
Click to stream/buy: https://RAM.lnk.to/divineprofitsID
___

‘Divine Profits’ stands as the second album legendary producers Ed Rush and Audio have released as part of their Killbox project, an outfit which boasts orchestrating some of the most pivotal changes in the darkside drum & bass underworld. Debuting in 2017 and unleashing a sleuth of releases which have marked their place within the genre's chronologies, Killbox do what they do best from start to finish and that’s unload sounds which are not written for a commercial sphere. And that’s why they’ve gained such a cult following over the decades they’ve been active, amassing a fan base which has seen them still garner tastemaker support. Their experience shines through ‘Divine Profits’ and it’s an album to get strapped in for as you’re taken through each seismic record.

From the growling undercurrents of ‘Epicentre’ through to the brooding intensity of ‘Rodan’, with ‘Cypher Pattern’, ‘Mutiny’, ‘Beaker’ and ‘Nova’ marking in-between, the singles already showcased by Killbox prove ‘Divine Profits’ still presents the echelons of the underground. With more to come on the album, including the tech-defined selection ‘Dab Lab’, as well as the titanic feel and grooves of ‘Yard Stick’, it’s an eclectic mix of Killbox’s engineering that’s developed over their careers. Czech stalwart Forbidden Society also makes an appearance on the brooding minimalism of ‘Transistor’, meanwhile ‘Multiply’ and ‘Reverent’ add to the album’s chaos.

It’s a striking collection and one which presents another definitive album on Ram Records, an imprint that's been leading the charge for nearly thirty years.

Let it Roll stands as the biggest drum & bass showcase the world has to offer. Welcoming thousands of music lovers from every corner of Europe, their stage aesthetics have proved year after year that they’re as impressive as the artists they host. With line ups that are seldom seen elsewhere, featuring staple heavyweights from every part of the genre’s spectrum, this isn’t a small feat. Friday’s opening ceremony has always been a defining moment for each festival goer, whether that’s an artist or fan. And this year, Ram Records’ stalwarts June Miller provided an open sequence for what turned out to be Let it Roll’s biggest year yet.
Following their debut LP on the Ram imprint, June Miller have only grown from strength to strength. Become an intrinsic part of the scene’s fabric, they’ve delivered monumental slices of bass which have resounded across their growing audience. After the climatic hit of their opening sequence, they’ve condensed the full show into five tracks for this next EP. So even if you missed it, prepare to blow your subs and reimagine the spectacle which opened the world’s largest meeting of sonic masterminds.
If you’d like to immerse yourself in the realms of June Miller and Let it Roll’s ferocity, the production outfit have delivered the sequence in full for the track listing’s first part. Otherwise, you’re introduction to June Miller’s Let it Roll EP is through ‘Hide & Seek’. It’s an animalistic tempo changer that pitches its way through warbling snare. ‘The Source’ rolls out next, a mechanical riddim that moves on top of distorted bass and pounding drum patterns. ‘Gods’ is an anarchist’s dream, with flurries of tinny beats and clanking kick. Gradually peaking and throwing you down crazy drops, June Miller are as intimidating as ever. ‘The Final Sequence’ wraps up all four separate partitions. With chanting ‘Let it Roll’ sample and a gradually grinding bassline, it’s an ominous affair. Although, after its successful delivery, you shouldn’t expect any less from the producers.
The meeting of Ram Records, June Miller and Let it Roll was never going to anything less than carefully crafted chaos. And now you can witness their formidability from your headphones.
