The latest edition of our free download series for 2021 welcomes Kenan Savrun for his first appearance. The Turkish artist has compiled an impressive resume since arriving on the progressive scene in 2019. Releases on Droid9, Mango Alley, Movement Recordings and Soundteller Records sit prominently in his discography, while his near two-decade long career as a DJ has seen him share the decks with Alex Niggemann, Artbat, Cid Inc, Nick Warren and Oliver Huntemann. In addition to his official production work, Kenan sometimes revisits his favourite records from the past and works on new interpretations to use in his sets and to share with his elite level contemporaries. Most recently the Ankara resident has turned his attention to iio’s ‘Rapture’, a track which dominated clubland in the early 2000’s. The end result was a triptastic progressive groover that is currently making the rounds with electronic music’s premiere tastemakers. The oppressive atmosphere of total control through the use of Big Data tech and the once free Internet has become a reality today. The works of Orwell, Huxley, Gibson and other authors have had a great influence on modern culture and largely predetermined the modern reality in which the authorities are able to use pervasive digital technologies not only to ensure security, but also to suppress the individual and persecute any unwanted dissent. Musically, all of Far&Hihgh's work, and this track in particular, was most influenced by the music of the 80s and 90s. Here you can distinguish both the electronic coldness of The Chemical Brothers and the electro-funk from Daft Punk. Remixing, German duo Avidus, taking the original elements from Far & High “and wanted to create a new timeless rave track with a certain melancholic vibe people might know us for”. We feel more than thrilled to welcome such talented artists and to release such a huge record.

Individually the artists have all made many solo achievements including music released on other labels such as Bar 25 Music, Crosstown Rebels, Cosmic Awakenings, and Kindisch.

Last year Sol Selectas launched its spring compilation 'Global Entry' which bridges the gap between the cold winter and hot summer. Warming our hearts, minds and souls with enlightening sounds, this second edition of the compilations once again welcomes in the summer months.

The songs feature heartfelt melodies, swirling arpeggios, subtle acid licks, distorted electric guitars, desert grooves, and lots of tribal percussion.

The artwork by Helia Jamali displays an interstellar doorway up the stairs of an exotic hacienda on a distant but familiar planet.
