Cid Inc's Replug Records opens the 2019 summer season by welcoming Alex O'Rion to the label for his debut EP. As one of the Netherlands most highly regarded and sought after artists, the Nijkerk resident has found a home on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music, where he has released three artist EPs since making his debut in January of 2018. Also a highly regarded DJ, Alex has programmed music for some of the world's most iconic clubs, namely Ministry Of Sound and Fabric. Now fresh off a Spring release for Nick Warren's Hope Recordings, the Dutch artist lands on Replug for his debut EP entitled 'Marathon'.

Continuing what has been a remarkable year for Alex is the EP's opener and title selection 'Marathon'. Enticing from the start, it's perfectly sculpted beats are warm and powerful, anchoring what is a rippling, free flowing foundation. Crafted with precision and care, layers of hypnotic percussion are blanketed with swirling atmospherics, ghostly vocal edits and fragmented melodies. Intrigue peaks as the main break unfolds, with hazy harmonic concepts and granular design uniting for an exhilarating apex, before ushering in a groovy drop and emotive finale.

The journey continues with the driving vibes of 'Blaze'. Immediately captivating, it's billowing bass tones and finely tuned percussion play off a robust rhythmic core, making for a devilish, hip swinging groove. It's hypnotic appeal grows subtly, as vocal fragments and luminous tones add an emotive slant to what is an already mystical storyboard. Almost like a sonic comet, it's fiery energy melts down into a break of muted beats and astral designs, before a collage of tripped out harmonics sets the stage for an otherworldly conclusion.

The release is capped off in fine fashion with the introspective moods of 'L'Arbre Des Contes'. Expertly joining the past to the future, Alex marries sophisticated melodic motifs with meditative rhythms and tranquil textures. It's a unique and highly engaging storyboard, perhaps one of the Dutch artist's most heartfelt to date in fact, a creation to cherish for special occasions and no doubt a highly memorable selection for your dance floor. Groovy and emotive in equal measure, it rounds out what is an astute collection of music from Alex O'Rion, making for yet another extraordinary addition to Replug's impeccable discography.

Fresh from the release of Above on the 14th May, courtesy of UK artist Girls Of The Internet, scene heavyweights Fideles step up to provide a stunning remix of the original. Released next month on the recently-formed Palm Recs imprint the remix showcases the Italian duo at their best.

For their take on the track, Fideles bring their signature style and create a dance floor-ready cut whilst retaining the feel of the original. The distorted vocal is layered over a driving bass that carries the remix through layers of melodic synths, conjuring a deep and brooding sound dripping in atmosphere.

Daniele Aprile and Mario Roberti otherwise known as Fideles joined forces in 2010 and are famed for their uniquely melodic and mature sound. Always emotive, they have released on labels including; Afterlife, Innervision, Correspondant, Bedrock, Poker Flat, Stil vor Talent among others. Most recently their Tale Of Us collaboration Vanishing gained widespread support, and received multiple plays on Pete Tong’s Radio 1 show.

Palm Artists is an East London based artist management company with over a decade of experience in developing some of the most exciting and successful musicians in the UK. Managing the likes of Gorgon City, Sonny Fodera, Adelphi Music Factory and a myriad of other industry heavyweights, the company has received several accolades over the years including; the BBC Sound Of 2019 while releasing multiple chart-topping singles, critically acclaimed album campaigns and delivering global tours for their roster. 2021 will see Palm Recs release a series of singles and remixes from some of their favourite up and coming acts, with producers such as Preditah, Fideles and many others soon to be debuting on the imprint.

Reinvigorating their collaborative partnership Dmitry Molosh and Michael A return to Cid Inc’s Replug Records with ‘Integral’. Hailing from Belarus, both Dmitry and Michael sit amongst progressive music’s elite guard. Their respective solo productions continue to earn play and support from the genre’s premiere tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, while also landing them releases on Hope Recordings and Sudbeat Music. Also calling Replug a comfortable home, Dmitry and Michael now return to the label with their first collaborative project in almost four years.

Much loved for their exploration of all things progressive and groovy, the Belarus duo exceeds expectations here, delivering two stunning pieces of music beginning with the title selection ‘Integral’. Set in motion by a warm, chunky foundation, its robust core comes up quickly, with layers of finely tuned drums, crunchy rhythms and squelchy synths uniting in a fiery sonic comet. Shifting energy into the main break, heartfelt harmonics and fragmented melodies gently blanket the electric underbelly, resonating on a higher frequency as tasteful modulation rises and the groove drops for a chugging finale.

Operating on a similar sonic plane is the companion piece ‘Twelve Days’. Otherworldly in nature, tough beats and dark stabs anchor the journey as the piece flows through a series of pulsating rhythms and mind-bending effects. Continuing on an unpredictable storyboard, ominous overlays and percussive flashes highlight the first act, perfectly setting up an icy break. Adding further intrigue, a wave of tranquil arps provide an effervescent foundation for the duo’s dystopian soundscapes, before building to a granular sizzle as a rush of drums ignites a powerful crescendo. It caps off a hugely successful project from two of progressive music’s most talented artists, further solidifying Replug’s place at the top of this burgeoning genre.

On remix duty we welcome Stas Drive, who delivers a driving offbeat basslined winner. His remix really hits it one from the off, as it musically slams it home. Like something from yesteryear, yet sounding fresh - this melodic techno monster will do nicely thank you very much.

She drops a musical statement, unified by a warm kick drum and dark atmospheric emotion, the track is a concoction of warm, deep bass and grooves, swirling pads, textured layers and stunning effects. Lily cleverly uses sound phrases throughout to complete the picture. By doing so she creates a cunningly worked piece of club music art to see out this wonderful release from Sean & Dee, Melody Stranger & Aaron Suiss.

Cid Inc's Replug Records ushers in the summer season by welcoming Kamilo Sanclemente and David Barragan to the label for their debut EP. The former, long regarded as one of Colombia's premiere progressive house talents has found a home on Balance Music, Beat Boutique and Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank Records, while earning continued support from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J. The latter, also hailing from Colombia and perhaps better known to progressive music fans as Dabeat, has adopted his given name for this distinguished project. Much like Kamilo, David has showcased his music on a wide assortment of the underground's premiere imprints, most notably Beatfreak Recordings, Hope Recordings and Proton Music. As frequent studio partners in the past, Kamilo and David now debut on Replug with 'Time Writer'.

Drawing on a variety of fresh designs and sleek rhythmic concepts the EP begins with its title and showcase piece 'Time Writer'. On a backbone of warm beats comes smooth contoured bass and a lively percussive cadence. Subtle yet stirring, an atmospheric glow encases the framework, as gentle arps and effervescent effects converge in a perfect sonic marriage. The narrative shifts as the breakdown commences with a buzzing lead line set atop a redolent backdrop. Trance inducing and hugely poignant, its euphoric nature sets the course towards a musically enlightened finale.

The companion piece 'Relive' continues the trance inspired themes of its predecessor. From its full, wonky groove comes spacey effects and hypnotic arps. Ghostly vocals and placid atmospheres build an emotive resonance across the first movement, perfectly segueing into an expansive centrepiece. A realm within the story, the break melts down to a stunning display of reflective melodies, free flowing in nature and elevating the mood before playing out over a colourful final act.

Having recorded more than thirty productions since the inception of their partnership, the creative synergy between Kamilo and David continues to grow. Their Replug debut sees a further evolution in their collaborative journey, with two creations that once again find them at the forefront of the progressive movement.

Liverpool´s emerging talent, Massano, presents his debut EP on Oddity, with an emotional remix by Raphael Mader, who is no stranger to the label.

¨Energy” the track that opens the EP, has a catchy melody and an energetic groove as the title describes it, complemented by pads that slowly reveal themselves until they reach the drop. Here is where the action happens, with a very emotional piano, and accompanying strings, that create a melancholic atmosphere, which triggers an arpeggio-like synthesizer, creating a beautiful synergy.

Raphael Mader approaches the remix duties, creating a deeper, trippy and melancholic version of the original, developing the perfect soundtrack for any sunset or sunrise. You can definitely listen to the maturity and evolution of his production and skills on his rework.

Delving deeper into the EP, we have the following two dancefloor-oriented tracks. ¨In Your Eyes" shows a deeper and more dramatic, yet catchy side of Massano's work. ¨Tangible" goes more towards the techno side of the EP, including his signature melodic and synth elements, which you can recognize in his productions.

Massano shows us some breaks in ¨Wrong With Me" giving the perfect closure to the EP. Beautiful pads, chord progressions and synths run throughout the track creating a beautiful atmosphere to enjoy.

After having releases on labels such as Diynamic, Radiant., Beatfreak or Dear Deer, the guys from the city of Prague decided to put things together what belongs together. By having two very intelligent and melodic tracks for the floor plus an acoustic version for the heart, it was up to label boss Marc DePulse to remix the title track "Limits".
