After honing his craft for the last 5 years, Heamy launches onto Bad Taste with the versatile Spacetime EP. Packing in 8 interstellar tracks of precisely engineered Drum and Bass, the latest release on Bad Taste is an exciting new chapter for a producer on the rise.

At only 23 years old, the Russian based Dmitrii Mitrofanov aka Heamy has already gained a cult following in the Neurofunk scene. Drawing on influences such as Pendulum, Noisia, Spor, Camo & Krooked as well as Amon Tobin and Bonobo, Heamy’s precise yet melodic style has attracted the attention of Tamrecords, and even earned him uploads on the mighty NeurofunkGrid Youtube channel.

Now, the young producer steps up to Bad Taste with the Spacetime EP. A milestone in Heamy’s career, the Spacetime EP takes listeners on a multi faceted journey, with dancefloor smashers, atmospheric rollers and everything in between. Metrik’s highly anticipated second album ‘LIFE/THRILLS’ released on Hospital Records is an exhilarating and flawlessly executed evolution of his signature sound. Under the banner of drum & bass it draws on his love for film soundtracks, synthwave, neo-soul and the Japanese pop sub-genre, Shibuya-kei and includes collaborations with Elisabeth Troy, NAMGAWD, Roméo Testa, Ragga Twins, Rothwell and Reija Lee.

‘Electric Echo’, a collaboration with Fightstar’s Dan Haigh and Alex Westaway’s synthwave side project Gunship, encapsulates the ethos of the album merging the unfamiliar with D&B sensibilities to create a fresh and exciting new sound. Opener 'Moondance' paves the way bringing high-energy to the surface. If ‘Teddy’s Gate’, released on the Skrillex founded Nest HQ, tugged your heart strings then roll onto title track ‘Stranger Tides’ with spacey vocal textures and ice-cold synths. Fans of his 2016 high-flyer ‘Komodo’ will fall hard for its brutal brother ‘On The Rocks’. Fearless bass with a sneak of trance-esque intensity matches up with his new techy tornado ‘Onyx’ - dancefloor obliteration is unavoidable with these two.
