Reset Robot feat Mister Woo - Ghost Machine - Truesoul

Truesoul Records are proud to announce the release of 'Let Your Soul Outside', the debut album from Reset Robot in April 2014.

Behind the Reset Robot project is Dave Robertson, a producer who has released standout singles on labels like Dogmatik, Intacto and Adam Beyer's Truesoul imprint over the past 5 years. Now he steps up with his debut album, the stunning 'Let Your Soul Outside'.

The LP was written at Reset Robot's home studio in Portsmouth and is an album of fascinating textures inspired by "all the music I listen to and love!" says the producer himself. "I've wanted to do this for a long time and all of a sudden I had 8 or 9 tracks together which were a little bit different. I added a few more and asked a close friend, Tom Powell from Mister Woo, to add vocals to a couple of them and it was ready."

The result is a full length that touches on many different moods and emotions, starting with the melodically soothing tech funk of 'Guitar Man'. Tracks like 'Little Alice' then pick up the momentum thanks to slick beats and crisp percussion and 'Sizzler' introduces a soulful vocal element over more tortured sounding, synth-laden grooves.

It's not all full on dancefloor material though, with tracks like 'Desi Beats' it allows you a little time to breath thanks to their more widescreen and laidback vibe, whilst 'Sausage' strikes a truly emotive pose that has your thoughts turning inwards.

With this album Reset Robot proves both his range and his dexterity -- no two tracks sound the same, and instead the Portsmouth producer explores every nook and cranny with a fine attention to detail that really makes the whole thing sing. 'Let Your Soul Outside' is a stellar achievement.

Marco Faraone - Our Freedom EP, Released 2021-05-07, Drumcode, DC242

With three EPs and an A-Sides cut to his name, Marco Faraone has been an invaluable label contributor, dating back to his Drumcode debut in 2013. The Italian remains one of scene's most versatile producers, a torchbearer of both house and techno and able to craft both with masterful ease. Coming off two albums in 2020, his inspired form rolls on throughout '21, with 'Our Freedom', his memorable fourth EP contribution to Adam Beyer's label.

'Burn Down' is an evocative vocal-led trip, made just as much for the headphones as the dancefloors of the future. Led by layers of laser-kissed riffs and a resistance-leading vocal, the title track is an emotion-charged anthem-in-the-making. 'Orbital' has bags of personality and pep, bringing the vibe to a more optimistic place, with a silky melody line and plenty of effortless groove. 'Magic Sunset' is the cream on top; the percussion pulsating and punchy, as cascades of goosebump-inducing synths unfurl beautifully throughout the six-minute jam.

Whisper my name
I want to hear your voice again
We've made mistakes
But lived and learned we keep the faith

We can love again, love again
Heal the broken hearts that lie within
Go beyond the pain of old and move on
To feel love again, love again

✏️ Lyrics
Another year cut off my youth
Yeah I was born to ride but fate took off with my fuel
Oh everything I’ve always wanted to do
Is beyond my reach as I am stuck here in this room

When I come back will they know my face
Will our freedom lead us back towards our habit of disdain
Oh if I make it out alive
Will you come with me as I ride into paradise

Oh I feel stronger
Cause I belong here, outside, with all the wonders of this life
Oh I feel stronger
Cause I belong here, outside, where all my senses come alive

I’ve been numb for a while now
It took some time for me to realize
I can’t pretend that I don’t feel overwhelmed by now
And I pray that soon we’ll breathe alright

Will we remember them all by name
Can we sustain a peaceful world without this hatred and this pain
If I make it out alive
Will you come with me as I ride into paradise

Oh I feel stronger
Cause I belong here, outside, with all the wonders of this life
Oh I feel stronger
Cause I belong here, outside, where all my senses come alive

Shimon & Andy C 'Quest' (Bladerunner Remix)

RAM25 - The Album - Out Now
https://www.ramrecords.com/download/ramm300d

Standing as one of the most resounding electronic music labels in history, Ram Records has finally hit its 25-year milestone. Established by Andy C and Ant Miles in 1992, the label has boldly placed itself on the forefront since its inception, acting as a foundation for the drum & bass genre and seeing through its development from the very beginning.

Once heralded as a platform for Andy C’s own productions, the imprint expandedmassively, becoming a world-renowned hub for some of the biggest drum & bass artists to ever hit the scene. The label has gone from strength to strength, helping to pedestal house-hold names such as Chase & Status, Sub Focus and Wilkinson. From the charts to the radio airwaves, they’ve continued their crossover success.Receiving daytime airplay and top ten positions unceasingly over the last decade, the producers have enabled Ram’s influence to seep into every corner of dance music.

Alongside support from BMG and current label manager Jim Gash, 2017 has seen Ram Records ascend to new heights. And to celebrate their twenty fifth year, Ram will be rereleasing twenty five original remastered classics from their definitive back catalogue as well as seventeen remixes, including reworks from Chase & Status, Killbox, DC Breaks, Frankee, Total Science, Benny L, Kasra and Enei, Ant Miles and Shimon, Bladerunner, DJ Marky Calyx & Teebee, Sound in Noise and Metrik. All in, it’s Ram’s most ambitious project to date.

The 25th year of Ram’s history is looking to be its most memorable yet. Both musically and through their major city UK tour dates, Ram’s versatile roster is still being pushed to new borders. Quarter of a century on and the record label is as strong as ever.

No one presents drum & bass as an eclectic genre quite like Rene LaVice. Whether it's the tell-tale, grinding snare of 'Where My Ladies At', or the soulful vocal lead A-list record 'The Calling', he's already demonstrated a creative aptitude, even before his first output on Ram Records.

But following up on the monumental success of his recent singles, the Canadian producer again offers up two fresh new cuts exposing yet another side of his musical capabilities. However, what can you expect from an artist who's played stages on both ends of the spectrum this summer; whether on the packed out platform of Download Festival, or the infamous Glastonbury.

'Part of Me' is vastly different from the rest of his discography, although still following the same explosive vibe prevalent throughout all his music. Providing a glimpse into the influences which have helped create his identity as an artist, the vocals crossed against a cinematic intro, underpinned with strumming guitar picks, presents the perfect embodiment of Rene's creativity. Featuring renowned artist BullySongs, who helps to build each chorused crescendo, it's a track which certainly sets the benchmark for Rene's forthcoming LP.

On the flipside, 'Untribaled' provides a darker hue. Creeping, ominous and peddled forward on fluctuating beat patterns and growling distortion, that first break plunges you down through a gaping chasm of snapping hi-hats and clunking cow bell. An LFO-lead bassline takes you deeper into the mix, cut at interludes by zapping, lazer-like synth.

Another step closer to his second album release, a precedent has been set. And with anticipation only growing, this final single increases the appetite for Rene's next LP 'Play with Fire'.
