In what feels like an inevitable meeting of minds, Tim Reaper lands on Berlins Sneaker Social Club with four blasts of inspired, forward-facing junglistics. It's practically impossible to think of the contemporary jungle scene without Reaper coming to mind - his relentless work ethic and advanced, authentic sound embody everything we hold dear about breakbeat-driven music.

After a knockout 2021 that saw records shelling down from on high via TempoCore, Bluff, Lobster Theremin, Banoffee Pies, Myor Massiv, Deep Jungle and Blu Mar Ten, link ups with Special Request and Sully to name but a few, he's striding in '22 with some of his most dazzling productions to date. There's a pronounced cosmic edge to the A side on Hardcore & Rubble, with elevated synth work that sounds especially inspired from a producer with a prolific hit rate. Meanwhile the flip teases some jungle techno touches in the midst of further mind-bending arrangement acrobatics, splitting the difference between playful energy and stern-faced intensity.

There's a degree of complexity, not to mention clarity, in these tracks which taps into the fundamental spirit of jungle as mind-expanding, visionary music. They're the kind of cuts to inspire shock out moments on first listen, whether in the dance or not, teasing expectations and flipping out fresh ideas in every gear shift. If you thought Tim Reaper had said all he needed to say within the parameters of jungle-rooted music, think again. ℹ️

Beautiful track from Amy Dabbs on the mighty Lobster Theremin Records.
Allure is Amy's 2nd EP on the label & the Berlin based DJ/Producer is really proving a force to be reckoned with. Turning her hand to many different styles & genres, always with a touch of class & oozing musicality. This track Allure is a 160 Jungle/DnB affair, soulful & jazz like, slick & refined with xamount of vibes. We rep all the different corners of the jungle & tracks like this are what makes digging through new music worthwhile. Out now in all stores. ℹ️

Trip EP got released on OFF Recordings on September 19th.

Trip (Original Mix)
Trip (Cari Lekebusch Remix)
Trip (TWR72 Remix)
Repeat (Original MIx)

"Charlotte de Witte, without doubt one of Belgium's fastest rising talents in the techno circuit, and known from two strong EP's on Tiga's Turbo label, makes her debut on OFF.

The EP starts off with 'Trip', aptly name due to its cinematic sound design and arrangement. Charlotte's trademark use of vocals ooze character, and haunting synths complemented by a laidback but steady drum-foundation are the ingredients of this track.

Sweden's Techno-legend Cari Lekebusch delivers the first remix, a functional and linear interpretation, which is sure to be heard on festival dancefloors during the late summer.

TWR72 of Amsterdam, themselves very much what you would call a 'current breakthrough act', are responsible for remix number two, a contemporary interpretation based on syncopated rhythms.

The EP is completed with 'Repeat', a reduced drum-tool built around a repetitive vocal hook.

Altogether a strong statement of a promising young artist and another proof of the ongoing evolution of OFF Recordings."

Fresh off the announcement that Rene Lavice is now taking over Radio 1’s tastemaking drum & bass slot, his forthcoming single on Ram Records has been hijacking club speakers worldwide. One of his most riotous tracks to date ‘Woohoo’ provides a snapping follow up to hearty vocal roller ‘Let You Go’ ft. Jareth, once again acting as a pedestal for his unbridled levels of creativity.
Time after time Rene has ensured he’s continued the same levels of production which saw him first signed to the Ram imprint. And after two critically acclaimed LPs and Radio 1 A-list addition, he’s remained at the top of his game. ‘Woohoo’ is a testament to that, more reminiscent of his earlier tracks ‘Where My Ladies At’ and ‘Insidious’ and it demonstrates how despite his more commercial output, he’s still able to tap into the darker flipside of his discography.
With crackling, reverberating snares and a thumping bassline, ‘Woohoo’ crashes forward alongside an undeterred attitude. Siren-like in its intro, you’re instantly pulled through a chasm of slickly layered beats and Rene’s sampled call to arms punching its way through the mix. If you’re looking for a record that’ll take pride of place within any club-lead set, Rene LaVice has delivered, showing his penchant for dancefloor records which are just as intimidating in home speakers.
The third LP from Rene LaVice has been slated for early next year and with it comes a brand new package filled with more additions to an already stellar back catalogue. And following an extensive tour schedule, which will see him perform at the Ram 25 world tour dates, across Europe’s biggest venues, he remains at the pinnacle of his career.

Rene LaVice

A: Where My Ladies At

Pre-Order - http://po.st/ReneLaviceWMLAiT

Level up: just when you thought Rene LaVice's productions couldn't get any sharper or stronger, along come another two powerful, distinctive creations.

Canada's most accomplished drum & bass ambassador, Rene LaVice has some big plans for 2014... And they start right here. Showcased by Andy C on his mind-blowingly massive 'Nightlife 6' opus, both 'Where My Ladies At' and 'I Want More' slam, sizzle and surge with contemporary production muscle. Let's press play...

'Where My Ladies At' achieved cult status when Andy used it to slap Zane Lowe into submission during a live battle on Radio 1. The savage bass tears, stark iced-out hook and crazed funk flurries on the fills caused instant online riots from the fans. When you hear it, you'll instantly understand why. Complete with a mischievous vocal sample and explosive dynamics, it's LaVice at his most deadly and direct.

With more unique firing fusions locked and loaded for the near future, LaVice is set to have an incredible 2014. Stay tuned for more heavyweight material very soon.

A firm Drumcode favourite, Mark Reeve is back with his latest techno opus.

Weaving his vitalising, biting techno through the seminal imprint since 2012, Reeve has since become a permanent fixture within Adam Beyer’s camp. He saw demand for his knockout ‘Run Back’ EP being matched and surpassed by his ‘Far Away’ EP, which bagged the number one spot on Beatport’s techno chart. Staunch DC fans will also be familiar with Reeve’s output on the label’s A-Sides compilation series, and clubbers hot on the tails of Drumcode events will have caught him centre stage across a string of showcases, including the inaugural Drumcode Festival.

Reeve’s music invariably endorses an arresting sonic aesthetic, with intense melodies often driving in those eye-closing moments. The title track ‘Distance’ is an atmospheric opening gambit set to sonically massage the senses with uplifting pads and a radiant melody. ‘Serum’, a track recently road-tested by Beyer at a special event in collaboration with Cercle, soars and captivates as it progresses with a low-end rumble and intricate keys. ‘Fix Me’ is a vigorous techno workout that’s intent on energising a clubroom rammed with sweat-soaked dancers. Closing off the EP, ‘Filmwave’ rides a killer groove into a pit of punchy, powerful kicks. .

Drumcode is more than a label, it’s a movement. Founded by Adam Beyer, it stands as the highest selling and most influential imprint in techno, has spawned a radio show listened to by millions each week, and a global events brand hosting festivals and events throughout Europe, North and South America. Adam Beyer’s unwavering commitment to quality, combined with a future-focused ethos are the cornerstone of the brand’s success. His definition of techno is open-minded and expansive, while resolutely refusing to compromise on the smallest detail with every aspect of Drumcode’s output.

Lyrics:
Going away for a time
And I’m not following where you’ve gone
I’m told we’ll be fine
You never know with a distance this long

But, I’m gonna wait for you
Yes, I’m gonna wait for you

I’ve been missing you a lot
I’ve been working the day right through
Every time that I stop
I rediscover a place without you

Yes, I’m gonna wait for you
Yes, I’m gonna wait for you

Yes, this is hard
But you can’t stop a real love this way
On the boulevard
Impatient, awaiting that last day
When you come back
Come back

Yes, I’m gonna wait for you
Yes, I’m gonna wait for you
