Bonobo has announced Fragments, a new album that will be released January 14, 2022 (Today), along with a 2022 world tour. Along with the announcement, Bonobo has also shared the lead single “Rosewood.” Fragments is the most emotionally intense record that he - aka Simon Green - has ever had to make. It’s no surprise that it’s also his masterpiece. The album features Jamila Woods, Joji, Kadhja Bonet, Jordan Rakei, O’Flynn and Miguel Atwood-Ferguson. Born first out of fragments of ideas and experimentation, the album ultimately was fused together in a burst of creativity fuelled by both collaboration and Green’s escape into the wild. The artwork for ‘Fragments" is by Neil Krug who returns after creating the art for 2017’s 'Migration’. Krug has also made a visualiser for ’Rosewood”.

Dive is the second studio album by American ambient musician Scott Hansen's project Tycho. Taking around five years to produce and write, Dive, according to Hansen, is a set of "artifacts from a future which might have more in common with our past than our present." It is an electronica record with a sound and style that was compared to the works of Scottish group Boards of Canada by multiple professional music journalists. Dive was released on November 8, 2011 by the label Ghostly International to mostly positive reviews from critics, and it landed on Billboard's United States Top Dance/Electronic Albums and Top Heatseekers Albums charts.

Somewhere as the sun yellows down to orange, and night leaks blue then purple into the sky, like ink dribbled slowly into a glass of water. Far above, the glint of a plane draws a white contrail as vivid as school chalk across the evening canvas. We’re in Greece somewhere by the sea. It’s hot—summer. Or maybe a late Fall day somewhere up north. Crisp, when sunsets come and go quickly so you have to pay full attention or you’ll miss them. Two Adirondack chairs side by side, forest green, or no color at all because they’ve lived out in the hard weather for years. You are telling me a story I’ve never heard before about your childhood. Your voice is quiet and intimate, but also alive and peppery with humor. Your hand is on my arm. I am grinning. I’m grinning because it is you talking and your story is good and I know soon we will rise together and have a wonderful meal where the food and talk will be equally good. Afterwards perhaps we will return to these chairs by the sea, or a forest, a desert, or by nothing important at all to listen to the night, as dense and black by then as the inside of a closed drawer. And you will say. And I will say. That is all I want on this summer evening.

Bono reads an extract from his book - ‘SURRENDER: 40 Songs, One Story’ - in an animation which illustrates an extract from the chapter titled ‘Out of Control’, in which he tells the story of starting to write U2’s first single on 10th May 1978 – his 18th birthday, exactly 44 years ago today.
In ‘SURRENDER’ – out on 1st November – Bono writes about his remarkable life and those he has shared it with—from his early days growing up in Dublin, including the sudden loss of his mother when he was 14, to U2’s unlikely journey to become one of the world’s most influential rock bands, to his 20 years of activism dedicated to the fight against AIDS and extreme poverty.
The title ‘SURRENDER: 40 Songs, One Story’ refers to the book’s 40 chapters, which are each named after a U2 song. Bono has also created 40 original drawings for ‘SURRENDER’ which will appear throughout the book, and also feature in this animated video.

Luis G Santos was born and raised in the Bronx, NY to a businessman Father and a white-collar worker Mother who’s a closeted writer. As a child, Luis observed his father’s strong business acumen by day & snuck around the house to find his mother’s beautiful-yet-hidden writings at night. This juxtaposition is what sparked Luis’ obsession with developing a strong business sense while consistently fostering his never-ending dedication to perfecting his artistic craft. While writing & directing his own short films in hopes of developing projects for TV & FILM, Luis climbed the corporate ladder - starting an internship at 72&sunny and later producing at Mother NY, McCann, & VEVO. This collection of experiences has helped Luis attain a deep understanding of how to excel as a director, writer, and producer in Film, TV, & Commercial productions while also enabling him to properly understand the corporate structure firsthand.
Luis has also carved a lane for himself in the Music & Live entertainment spaces, directing live work for artists such as Future, Arcangel, Jessie Reyes, Pusha T, Latto, & many more.

Chessa Subbiondo is a photographer and film maker based out of Los Angeles, California. She has been capturing surrealism in American culture for the past four years and has cultivated an understanding of these images with the youth, mainly through her social media presence. She focuses on the art of “Amateur” image making with staged concepts of emotion through her photo and video work. Working for Magazines such as Vogue, The Face, and Office- Chessa aims to show the beauty in normality through her editorial and personal work.
This piece is something that is very dear to my heart. As a child growing up my father and I would take a long road trip once a year from Los Angeles across California to visit his family. I have a very vivid memory of falling asleep on the car ride home from the trip, the sun was setting and it felt like a very peaceful moment. My dad had always carried the All That You Can’t Leave Behind CD with him in his car and I remember listening to it a lot as a child. On the way home from this trip “In a Little While” began to play and my dad told me the infamous story about Joey Ramone listening to this song as he passed away. My dad and Joey were close friends before he passed and I could tell how much the song meant to him. In this video I really wanted to replicate that moment and show the emotions you feel as a child when you hear something your parent plays for you in the car, especially something with such strong sentimental value. The song for this video being “The Miracle (of Joey Ramone)”, it felt only fitting to touch on what he clearly meant to the band and people everywhere. The feeling of being a child and finally arriving home reminds me a lot the emotions of closeness that are showcased in the cover for Songs of Innocence. This song being the first song on the album it felt right to incorporate some form of ode to an album cover as iconic as that one.
My experience with U2 is probably very similar to most people my age. U2 is a legendary band with a sound that provokes a lot of emotion. As a child, when you hear them for the first time it definitely stands out against other music. I think with a video like this it perfectly captures how this sound felt to a different generation than the one it came from. I remember when I got my first car it didn’t have an aux cord yet and all it could take were CDs. I went into my house to look through my parents old collection and found this U2 album and immediately brought it back to the car with me, still sounded just as beautiful as it did when I was a child. That’s how you know something is timeless."
