Since signing to Hospital Records in October 2012, Metrik finally arrives with his long-awaited debut album ‘Universal Language’, and believe us, it does not disappoint. Having already built a reputation as one of the hottest stars in d'n'b, he delivers an eclectic blend of anthemic and euphoric tracks to showcase his musically expansive sound.
Metrik demonstrates his uncompromising quality control by collaborating with high profile vocalists and producers. His chart topping debut single 'Want My Love' (Mixmag's 'Single Of The Month') features vocals from Elisabeth Troy of MJ Cole fame, who, fresh from touring with Clean Bandit brings an iconic, gorgeously soulful component to the table. Metrik reunites with vocalist Jan Burton for his second single ‘Human Again’ offering an infectious slice of summer d'n'b receiving heavy rotation across the festival circuit. Switching styles, we welcome the weighty lyrics from London based hip-hop artist Kyza as well as a collaboration with Australian bass music star ShockOne, adding their unique flavour to this sonically diverse body of work.
Performing at key events across the globe including Glastonbury, Global Gathering and Hospitality Brixton Academy, those fortunate to catch his energetic DJ sets have had a taste of the fire he has brought to this LP. Already a firm favourite of many A-list and radio DJ's alike, this album solidifies Metrik as one of the top tier artists in d'n'b and beyond.

Smile & Wave -

Hospital Records are extremely proud to present ‘Smile & Wave’, the second studio album from drum & bass’ friendliest MC, Inja. With the biggest smile on his face, the lyricist, vocalist, poet, artist and storyteller delivers 16 tracks, seamlessly weaved together through Inja’s infectiously feel-good flow and sincere wordsmithery. The entire album was produced by Whiney, further cementing their relationship as one of the most untestable dance music pairings. Also featuring Charlotte Haining, Eva Lazarus, DRS, Fox, Cleveland Watkiss, Singing Fats, and DJ Marky.
Album title track ‘Smile & Wave’ is the musical embodiment of Inja’s playful demeanour. Known for being the world’s smiliest artist, Inja wrote and recorded this feel-good bouncer alongside his daughter who is “pretty much the first person to hear anything” he’s up to musically. Expect a rude bassline and infectious wordplay.
Teaming up with superstar singer-songwriter Charlotte Haining, ‘Reach Out’ sees two of the most distinct voices in dance music come together over a bittersweet wobbler written about times when you feel “so out of place, out of reach” in the words of Inja. Having worked alongside an impressive array of electronic artists including Hybrid Minds, Sub Focus, My Nu Leng and Friction, Charlotte’s delicately powerful hooks are the perfect counterpart to Inja’s heartfelt flows.
Luscious pads and dubbed out pianos and guitars set the scene on ‘Baby Angel’ featuring the worldwide wave-maker Eva Lazarus who returns to Hospital Records for the first time since featuring on Etherwood’s ‘Light My Way Home’ back in 2015. Having worked alongside staple figures including Mungo’s Hi-Fi, Zed Bias and Gentlemen’s Dub Club, Eva infuses her reggae, hip-hop and jungle flavours alongside Inja’s humbling storytellings.
Inja’s “personal favourite to perform live as it smashes every and any system”, ‘Explode’, is a 140BPM anthem featuring flows that will ignite any room and a killer instrumental that will have you bobbing no questions asked. Proving himself to be a versatile and skillful microphone controller, Inja’s ability to shell down any tempo is ever more apparent on this upfront banger.
Three legendary MCs unite on ‘Hands, Lights, Flames, Phones’ where Inja joins forces with two of Manchester’s very finest - DRS and Fox. Sharp lyricism is rife as the triple threat of three titan wordsmiths link up, seeing energetic bars bouncing off each other over a cold-cut drum & bass roller. This is a combination not to be tested.
Inja has established himself as a pinnacle figure within the realms of drum & bass. Loved for his ability to express his thoughts into honest, relatable lyrics in ‘She Just Wanna Dance’, a spoken word piece for Amnesty International that was a viral online hit in 2017, and more recently switching it up to ‘We Just Wanna Dance’ during the UK lockdown, expressing his desire to be reconnected with ravers again. Then picked up by BBC News and Sky News.
On top of being the MC of choice for drum & bass powerhouse group Kings Of The Rollers, Inja is no stranger to tearing things up on the airwaves with support from the likes of DJ Target, Rene LaVice and Danny Byrd on BBC Radio 1 over the years. Since his debut ‘Blank Pages’ album on Hospital Records in 2018, Inja has flourished as a multi-talented MC, vocalist, singer and songwriter with a series of singles including the Beatport Drum & Bass chart-topper ‘Game Face (Stay Alert)’ alongside Whiney, as well as the infamous ‘Lumberjackin’’ on Serum’s Souped Up.
“To all the supporters that enjoy anything I’m a part of, I would never have had the opportunities to see as much of the world as I have without you. My gratitude has no bounds and I’d love to share a smile with you all one day.” - Inja

Straight outta’ Sao Paulo, the funkmeister and production paragon Urbandawn has delivered a D+B quartet that’s ready to drop jaws and start wars. The ‘Sleeping Awake’ EP see’s everything we’ve grown to love about this Brazilian badman, soaked in musical brilliance with raw power and funk.
No messing around, ‘Roundabout’ likens to a bear punch in the face with a knuckle duster. This monolith stepper’s incredibly complex production will leave heads rolling across the globe. All producers take note, the devil's in the detail.
The rampantly jazzy weapon ‘Sleeping Awake’ is as if LTJ Bukem, London Elektricity and Noisia got shoved into the Hadron Collider - playful with funk and exuding nothing but sheer brilliance. Rolling straight through is ‘White Canvas’, a crispy sub-shaker that draws upon the full 360 of the D+B spectrum. This techy masterpiece is poised for the dancefloor with energy levels high and quality levels higher. Seeing things home is ‘Gloria’ with a harmonious fusion of exquisite chords and empyreal vocals. A rich progression slowly fades out to see out this compendium of excellence.

Other Echoes - Free Running (Feat. Julian Huggins) Official Video
Directed, Filmed & Edited by Visive Productions - http://www.visiveproductions.com/
Edit Coordinator: Nezih Savaşkan - http://www.redhavoc.co.uk/
Introducing Other Echoes - Seven electronic tracks of the highest
quality, keeping up the Hospital Records tradition of forward
thinking, melodic, bass heavy music, but this time with a slower
tempo.
The honour of being the first exclusively non-drum+bass signing for
Hospital for nearly 9 years goes to up and coming producer Nick
Gresham. Making his debut with a highly accomplished self-titled EP,
Other Echoes brings us seven electronic tracks which successfully
blend broken beat, future garage and dubstep.
"Juice Bumps" has already received upfront support from Skream & Benga
on their Radio One show, and kicks off the EP with a vocal stab master
class sitting on top of an awesome synth and bass work out which
develops throughout the track. This, along with "Got The Music" and
"Asteroid" -- the closing cut, (featuring Logistics) -- represent the
more steppy, dancefloor angles of the EP.
"Further" contrasts brass and afro rhythms with deep chord
progressions to give you a sound to shake dancefloors everywhere from
Croydon to Cape Town. Two ambitious vocal offerings can be found in
"You'll Be My Medicine" (with vocals from Alice Smith) and "Free
Running" the latter bringing a more reflective sound to proceedings
with vocalist Julian Huggins. All this is topped off by the sleeping
dubstep giant that is "Sunburn''.
Oh and Gresham? Where have you heard that before? Nick is the latest
member of this talented family including brother Dan (Nu:Tone) and
Matt (Logistics) to join the Hospital family. A stellar opening EP
from an artist we expect you will be hearing plenty more from in the
future.

After a six-year hiatus, everyone’s favourite Hospital compilation returns. Witness the sickness, this is drum & bass, this is 'Sick Music 2018'.
With 24 brand new tracks, the series that brought the world early stories of Netsky, Wilkinson, Sigma and Fred V & Grafix is back. The heritage of this series speaks volumes, and 'Sick Music 2018' takes the quality to a whole new level. Filled to the brim with dangerous dubplates this full spectrum injection is a must have for each and every D+B devotee.
Hospital's leading dancefloor duke Danny Byrd has taken things straight back to ’99 with ‘Devil’s Drop’. Firing on all cylinders he's keeping it raw, rolling and funky. In a similarly devilish fashion we have 'Bootstrap Bill’ finally unleashed by the enigmatic Unglued. Unashamedly destructive and executed with precision, this track is more dangerous than Donald Trump drunk on Twitter.
In a perfect fusion of Hospital and Med School, we see Fred V & Grafix's 'Hurricanes (Wild Love)' re-worked with pristine precision by everyone’s favourite prodigy Keeno. Keeping the vibe level at eleven, Hugh Hardie's delivered the gorgeous ‘Nightingale’, both seductively simple and oozing with elegance.
‘Just One Second’ by London Elektricity gets its first re-work since the late Apex’s famous remix on the very first Sick Music. The beautiful track see’s a sterling contemporary edit and is a testament to Mitekiss’ talent.
This album also brings the first solo single from the biggest name in D+B right now, Kings Of The Rollers. Fiercely pushing into new territory ‘Burnt Ends’ has been causing carnage on the dancefloor, getting double wheel-ups from across the globe.
Joining this rich tapestry of exemplary D+B are both veteran composers and new blood alike including: Klute, Whiney, Urbandawn, Reso, Logistics, John B, and of course Hospital Records' commander-in-chief London Elektricity.
The release will be available across all formats but its grandest form will take that off the highly limited box set. Featuring a CD, the 4x12” plates, some box set only stickers and an exclusive T-shirt. One for the collectors, this is not a release to be overlooked.

As one of the pioneers of the signature Hospital Records sound Logistics already has an impressive succession of albums, EPs, collaborations and remixes in his repertoire. Fortunately for us he’s adding one more to the list with his incredible sixth studio album, ‘Electric Sun’ filled with jungle flavoured rollers, garage-inspired chop-ups, down tempo head-nodders, swirling synths and merciless subs.
Settle inside paradise with 'Icarus' - featuring fellow Cambridge connoisseur Hugh Hardie - along with 'After Dark' they provide a warm, anthemic wash throughout the LP that contrasts with the equally ethereal yet hypnotic slow dance of 'Still Life', featuring Holly Drummond. The refined style in 'Tell Me True' proves simplicity really is key; rippling piano and gentle guitar plucks come together to create a first-class future classic.

Leaders of the new generation and purveyors of dancefloor chaos Serum, Voltage and Bladerunner return to the frontline of drum & bass with their debut, self-titled album ‘Kings Of The Rollers’. Whilst each has their own high-grade production style, these three royals have managed to create a sum greater than their parts, as they steamroll through all the rules to deliver an absolute bruiser of an LP.
Across seventeen tracks expect up-front rollers, techy 2-step beats and pure knockout D+B bangers, complemented with slick jazzy numbers and a wide variety of vocal-lead tracks. It’s safe to say they’ve lived up to the hype with their most dynamic and diverse release to date.
Amongst the carnage highlights include ‘You Got Me’. A towering tear-out beast ladened with thrashing amens and a thundering bassline that’s ready to push every speaker to it’s limits. Low frequency growler ‘Shella’ is peppered with steppy jungle nuances, with Mancunian dance music innovator Chimpo featuring on both production and vocals for an all-round roughneck sheller. ‘Round Here’ is a brazen jungle prowler with Bristolian lyricist Redders at the helm for a future classic anthem.
Whilst being predominantly known for their heavyweight productions and outrageous D+B screamers, the new album also showcases a variety of different flavours. Jungle roller ‘On The Run’ features the smooth spoken word of Queen Rose and ‘Tisno’ brings a warm steppy swing, inspired by their time spent at the very first Hospitality On The Beach.
Hospital’s three kings have set the scene on fire with their electrifying DJ sets and headline festival performances. Their new ‘Royal Rumble‘ tour takes them all over the UK in 2019 with shows in London, Bristol, Brighton, Manchester and beyond.

“This mixtape came together very quickly. I wanted to do something that goes back to my roots and allows me to sound off about things that stimulate me. We're still in the midst of a global pandemic, so I felt a project with storytelling would be relevant for these crazy times. For this tape I've collaborated with some of my heroes, some talented up and comers in Drum & Bass and some of my best friends too! I'm so proud to work with these incredible people, their work is inspiring. Huge shouts to my label too for letting me express myself with no limitations.” - Degs
Lyrics:
I wasn’t looking for much
Until you found me
I was just looking for trust
From those around me
A little affection from the one that I love
Peace and respect from the ones that I trust
A deeper connection
A higher love
2018, it was August
Everything it fell apart without no guidelines to restore it
Got some news that changed my life man
A childhood friend had gone
And the reason for his passing is he felt he didn’t belong
And that was fucking hard to take
I spent most my days on stage
Tryna process information that was lodged in my domain
But I performed
Cos music was the thing that kept me sane
Sharing love to all these people gave me something to regain
Was supposed to be the summer of love
But this relationship was toxic
Felt like pulling the plug
Cos when your partner is jealous of all the movements you’re on
Man that’s a red flag for real
Hella deluded I was
So in the end we broke away and I began to the road to healing
Was a blessing in disguise
The time apart was so revealing
I was back on the road
Playing from city to city
Still I had grief in my chest
Won’t paint a picture that’s pretty
But then I met you one night (oh Lord)
Fixate my gaze on one sight
Internal flames they ignite
I found a good thing despite
That year being hard to find peace
So when you’re holding a burden you try find ways to release
That’s where your soul it came in
And my endorphins increased
I had a shoulder to lean on
You had a heart that was clean
You found a space in between
I wasn’t looking for much
Until you found me
I was just looking for trust
From those around me
A little affection from the one that I love
Peace and respect from the ones that I trust
A deeper connection
A higher love
This ain’t a love song in a classical sense
Will never water down my feelings I need more words to vent
Cos all the goodness we’ve got
Comes from the hours we’ve spent
Across the continent’s plains
Let the connection augment, I’m like
I couldn’t plan to be content for this amount of time
Battle scars from all the years where I stepped out of line
Discontinued by your shine
Exhibiting a different path where intellects are not confined
A whole other world I’m seeing now
Clarity here, I see the ground
With a foundation that is strong we let the water flow
We stimulate each other, never divided if we’re both in tow
Not superstitious but I really think our stars aligned
No horoscopes round here but yeah I saw the signs
Replay the tape back on the past but there’s no hatred in that show
Together me and you, we strive to grow
Replay the tape back on the past but there’s no hatred in that show
Together me and you, we strive to grow
Replay the tape back on the past but there’s no hatred in that show
Together me and you, we strive to grow
A whole other world I’m seeing now
Clarity here, I see the ground

This is the seventh in a series of videos from the Nu:Logic album "What I've Always Waited For", which is due for release on Hospital Records on March 25th. Working with director Nez Savaşkan we wanted to create visual accompaniments for each of Nu:Logic's tunes which captured the vibe and feeling of each track. This resulted in a series of fourteen simple vignettes not conforming to the standard conventions you might expect from a promo video.
It's important to remember these are video edits... If you want the full Nu:Logic audio experience make sure you pre-order your copy of the new album now, here

Nu:Logic is a collaborative partnership between Hospital stalwarts Nu:Tone and Logistics. Individually, the Gresham brothers have released a total of seven long players already on Hospital, each to great critical acclaim. The sum of their combined powers is oozing with the kind of soulful drum + bass, which is the foundation of the Hospital label and will satisfy long term fans who hanker after the golden days of the genre.
Having brought us the Nu:Logic "New Technique" EP in 2010 and the recently released follow up single "Morning Light / Grizzly", the duo now bring us their highly anticipated debut album "What I've Always Waited For".
Opening with the calm, mellow soothing sounds of "Morning Light" we are taken through a variety of styles across the 14-track album. Vocal-driven cuts are peppered throughout the album and there's some top collaborations in there, including "Everlasting Days (ft. Lifford)" with its warm, uplifting vibe, the growling spoken swagger of "We Live There (ft. DRS)" and the blissed out "Shoot Me Down (ft. Robert Manos)".
Elsewhere, don't miss out on the excellent "Start Again (ft. S.P.Y)" with the raw, bass heavy menacing tones, as well as the meditative title track "What I've Always Waited For" which is all whirring atmospherics and pattering drums. Two interludes "Escape Pod" and "Dusk" successfully segment the album into thirds. With so many musical gems to choose from, one thing is for sure - this has been worth waiting for.

After announcing their return to Hospital Records, and the release of their Haitian dancefloor weapon ‘Loa’, drum & bass goliaths Camo & Krooked keep their foot firmly on the gas with the release of ‘Kallisto’ - an exciting collaboration with neurofunk titan, Mefjus.
Plunge into a melting pot of first-class sonics, with influences from across the spectrum of electronic music. Hair-raising atmospherics, electro-grizzle and just the right amount of glitch, see the incredible talent of Camo & Krooked and Mefjus unify for a track of pure slickness.
“Kallisto is the perfect example of the musical and sonic middle ground between both Mefjus and us. When we get in the studio together, the blending of our sounds feels really natural to us.” - Camo & Krooked
These soundwave surgeons can be found dishing out their latest creations all across Europe this summer in Austria, UK, The Czech Republic, Belgium and Switzerland at festivals such as Hospitality In The Park 2019, Let It Roll 2019, and more.

The Hospital Records family are here to provide your much needed dose of fresh cuts from all corners of drum & bass in their ‘Hospitality House Party’ compilation. The annual summer album from the south-London based imprint provides a soundtrack for a time in our lives that has changed every one of us. From their homes to yours, their weekly virtual parties have allowed us to come together under the shared love for 174 beats per minute.
The album is packed with 32 brand new original tracks, collaborations and remixes to make sure that good vibes and even better music are in plentiful supply, featuring the likes of Camo & Krooked, Flava D, London Elektricity, S.P.Y, Kings Of The Rollers, Degs, Logistics and Makoto, seamlessly blended together by Nu:Tone on the continuous mix.
Delivering everything you’d expect plus more, Urbandawn’s ‘Carnival Blues’ is a nod to his eclectic musical background. The Sao Paulo-based sonic architect canvasses vibrations from around the world into an untestable drum & bass cruncher. Villem sets the compilation in motion with ‘We Had A Song’ ft Leo Wood, a 2020 cover of a classic by the progressive contemporary icons The Roots - “You Got Me”. Villem infuses drum & bass with neo soul and hip hop to create a sublime liquid bouncer drenched in moreish guitar riffs and comforting strings.
His first release since his seventh studio album, Hospital head-honcho London Elektricity has teamed up again with the Stockholm-based Bulgarian Goddess, providing stunning orchestral sounds in ‘Someone Once Gave Me A Melody’. Camo & Krooked meet Pola & Bryson on their official remix of ‘Turn Up (The Music)’. Incorporating the anthemic synth and vocal leads from the original, brisk breaks and growling basses flip the tune on its head turning it into a sub-heavy summer striker.
Embarking on an interplanetary journey through bass-ridden black holes, powerhouse trio Kings Of The Rollers have stepped up with ‘Saturn’s Strings’, plus ‘The Prophet’ which marks Voltage’s first solo release on Hospital Records. The compilation also sees an exciting release from dance music duo My Nu Leng as they join forces with Dread MC on ‘Worldwide’, a tearout destroyer that draws for system shaking basslines.
Whilst they won’t be able to unite the Hospital family and wider drum & bass community this summer, Hospital Records and Hospitality continue to supply the highest calibre of music, no matter what the circumstances.

Danny Byrd is back and ready to blow 2013 away with this rambunctious double A-side sampler, as we approach the release of his third studio album later this year.
First he teams up with Bristol based Full Cycle legend and Mercury Music Prize winner Roni Size for the explosive, dancefloor-driven "Grit". Bringing together two legends of the D&B scene for the first time "Grit" has an exuberant, larger than life appeal that will surely make it a favourite amongst DJs and punters alike. Dropping like a car alarm going off in the dance and answered by a juddering sub of gargantuan proportions, the track rolls out with a robotic gospel choir adding intrigue and melodic soul.
The double A is Danny Byrd's "Love You Like This". Guaranteed to charm and impress, this is an uplifting, vocal-driven slice of D&B, accessible and engaging and will set the dancefloors on fire with its hands-in-the-air panache. Classic "Stardust" era French House recalled thanks to a tasty Alan Braxe sample, giving this record cross genre appeal. Recalling the halcyon days of disco drum+bass at its funky finest, this record has become an instant classic at Hospitality with the likes of Netsky, High Contrast and Danny Byrd himself pulling it back for the rewind.
