Gwerkova is a kind of music project, which was formed in the year 2008 in purpose of self-entertainment. Two girls, who lived together in Bratislava on the famous Gwerkova street decided to collect such music ideas, which seemed to be useless concepts for other bands. Namely you can find us in SICK (Gaspi) and in MOUSTACHE (zsuzsi) as well. We went through several changes and several kind of music: from unplugged to electro- folk, from pop to ambient. Even more, in the year 2010 Jani Ürögi, the electronic music producer joined Gwerkova. Earlier he used a lot of nicknames for several music projects. The latest one is Illl, under which he runs his own stuff. We've played with THE LEGENDARY PINK DOTS (NL), ROSA PARKS (HU), MOUSTACHE (SK), in towns like: Vienna, Budapest, Kosice, Lehnice, Dunajská Streda, Trencín, Galanta, Győr, Komárno and Stúrovo. Nowadays we are trying to create more spherical music combining with electro-, folk-, IDM-, dunkelpop-, field recording-psychedelic-experimental etc. elements.

Vinisoundz / Sour Vinegar (David Hanzseros) was born 1983 in Hungary.His style is different from other producers of mixing the styles, instruments and embrace all of the moments with electronica.

He started to get interested in music about 1995. Mixing, remixing and cutting with cassette recorders were the first steps to get in touch with music. First song that he created was made on a playstation system with Music2000 software, and all of the songs were saved on cassettes.

The next important point in his "music-life" is the Heineken DJ Thirst competition in Hungary. He was one from the 18 best talented Djs in the country, and the rivalry for the grand prize -- djing with Paul Oakenfold -- is started. Unfortunately Vinisoundz was knocked out by the winner. After the competition he played in a lot of clubs, as a guest, and as a resident as well.

Vinisoundz continued with producing and realized that is what he want to do, like back in the days. So he found the main aim: writing music. He made lot of songs and joined remix contests in Hungary and also worldwide. Recently the most important point was The Crystal Method -- Come Back Clean remix contest in 2009. By the public vote he did the best remix in the world and the track was released at the Black Hole Recordings. After the contest he released two other tracks with Mark Youssef. Mark was essentially Vinisoundz's manager, who arranged the release at Polytechnic ("Shades") and Quimika ("Stream") Records.

In 2010 he released his first album "i Is A Musician" at Rimoshee Rec. These tracks are mostly a selection of Vinisoundz's chilled mood, even so it includes drum and bass or big beat moments.

In 2005 Josep Xortó and Arnau Obiols create the garage group "Rumori". A short while after Miquel Mestres arrives to form part of the project, and then, Jordi Moraleda begins to collaborate sporadically with the band.

After playing various concerts around Spain, and completing a demo recorded by Marco Morgione, Josep Xortó moves to London in January of 2007, and begins to play bass in the British post-punk group "No Picasso" and guitar on ocassions for Pam Hogg's band.

In 2008 Arnau Obiols and Miquel Mestres also moved to the capital of the United Kingdom, a place where they set out once again on their musical journey alongside Josep. This same year they record an EP, produced by Miqui Puig, that is never released. At the same time, Arnau is incorporated into legendary London band Television Personalities, with whom he continues to play up to the present day.

During 2009 and 2010, Josep dedicates his time to composing songs in his house in London, with the collaboration of Arnau Obiols, and co-produced by Jordi Moraleda. Synthesisers predominate, drowning the guitars, and underlining the songs with a more melancholic tone. The project begins to evolve.

In the summer of 2010, Diesel selects the single "A hundred lovers", mastered by Robert Harder, for the worldwide campaign on their website. The single is published under the name of "Josep" by Anomaly, even though the band carries the name "Stand Up Against Heart Crime".

This same summer in London, Josep and Arnau participate in the film directed by Alexandra McGuiness "Lotus Eaters", in which "A Hundred Lovers" also appears. The full-length feature film will premiere this year.

At present, the band is based in Barcelona, preparing songs for the release of their forthcoming LP of Stand Up Against Heart Crime.

John Talabot is a youngster from Barcelona with a rather special way of approaching music. His influences range from flamenco to nouthern soul, from African music to traditional Asian songs and his inspiration sources go from the profound and sensual house of Moodyman and labels such as Sound Signature or KDJ to Disco music, Chicago House, Pop or Techno.

His first commercial effort on German label Permanent Vacation included the A side "Afrika" and another two tracks,"Naomi" and "Korlee" . Shortly after (June 2009), "Sunshine" debuted via Talabot's own label Hivern.

"Sunshine" resurfaced on a limited blue vinyl with mixes by Delorean and Blondes (May 2010) after the original made it to Pitchfork's best new music of their 2009 list. At the same time Permanent Vacation launched his second release for the label: "Matilda's Dream"

Along the white sands of Barcelona, a community of music makers have been combining the delirious house sounds of the sundazed club scene with the irresistible melodies of contemporary pop. At the forefront of this scene is Delorean, a Barcelona-via-Zarautz quartet whose uniquely Mediterranean sound has made them one of Spain's most popular independent bands. Taking cues from Spain's native Balearic beat, Madchester, house, techno, R&B and indie rock, Delorean carves out a sunny sweet spot between the stage and the dance floor.

Delorean formed in 2000, in the Basque coastal town of Zarautz, as the outlet for a group of teenagers wrapped up in their local punk scene. Eventually, though, bassist/singer Ekhi Lopetegi, drummer Igor Escudeo, keyboardist Unai Lazcano, and guitarist Guillermo Astrain began exploring their mutual interest in electronic music. After moving to Barcelona in 2007, they focused on computer-based writing and production, and started their own eclectic club night, Desperrame, as an antidote to the relative darkness of the techno scene. Like-minded clubgoers expanded Delorean's rich palette of influences, and their remixes for bands like the XX, Cold Cave, Franz Ferdinand, Lemonade, El Guincho, and Glasser provided the band with playgrounds for digital experimentation to hone their own sound. Last year's lauded Ayrton Senna EP took them further away from their rock influences and toward the euphoric club-inspired sound that feels like their destiny all along.

Their new album, Subiza -- named after the bucolic Basque town in which it was recorded -- is Delorean's defining work to date. Fusing relentless hands-in-the-air club rhythms with the shimmering melodies they've long toyed with, it drips with decades of dancefloor history while retaining Delorean's own adventurous voice. Densely layered digital production is sent back through analog tape to conjure a warm, whirling aesthetic that feels organic and fresh. Singer Ekhi Lopetegi colors the music with reflections on love, distance and longing. Says Lopetegi:

"The lyrics talk about love and joy as a feeling so strong that it distorts memory...that's what
ecstatic means to me, this experience so big that it breaks up the normality of everyday life.
Ecstasy and love put you in an extreme state, therefore one of risk. If the music sounds
uplifting it's because it aspires to be something that intense and crucial."

With Subiza, Delorean have found the emotional core of the club music that has long consumed them, and made it something less rigid and very personal. A first listen is exhilarating, each subsequent listen a revelation. Without trafficking in false Utopias, Subiza is a soulful suite of blissed-out music that heralds the latent promise of a perfect summer.

Cokiyu is Yukiko Ito. She was born in Ehime, Japan in 1978. She finished her master degree of musicology study in a music design course of Kunitachi College of Music in 2002. From her student time till now, she creates the tape works using Max/MSP, the works for voice and woodwind instruments, and percussion instruments. In 2002, she started to do live performances in Tokyo. She also sings in some works of other Japanese artists such as Aus and Mexico.

From Cologne, Germany techno producer has recorded a number of records as Rob Acid, Acid Warrior and Department of Dance for Force Inc in the nineties, now he begins releasing under his name since 2004. He also had records released by acid and techno labels such as Important and Labworks and at some point had launched his own label too, Junkfood. His most recent output is a blend of minimal and deep tunes with a lot of care taken for the detail. His mixes feature melodic constructs set, at times, in a more experimental field of electronic sounds which is considered innovative by many.

BOYS NOIZE is the stage name of Berlin-based DJ and producer ALEX RIDHA. Ridha (born in 1982, Hamburg) started producing and DJing at early age to find himself supporting the likes of Felix Da Housecat and DJ Hell in a matter of time. Nowadays Ridha himself is known as a one of the most valued electronic artists, awarded with the Independent Music Award in 2010 as well as 3 years in a row Best Electronic Artist on Beatport. He has a refreshing approach: not afraid to break new grounds, beaming a myriad of influences from his hip-hop and disco roots to create an innovative sound. His DJ-sets are equally uplifting and he's regarded by many as one of the worlds' best DJs, not only technically but also as a showman. Seamlessly mixing and remixing on the spot, Ridha never fails to deliver high-powered and gripping sets: unforgettable experiences for the witnesses.

Ridha released his early work on labels such as International Deejay Gigolos Records, Kitsuné Music and Turbo Recordings.In order to retain full artistic freedom however, he established his imprint Boysnoize Records in 2005.‚Ä®His highly anticipated long players "OI OI OI" and its successor "POWER", the two long players that included contemporary anthems such as "Don't Believe The Hype", "&Down" and "Jeffer".

He remixed David Lynch, N.E.R.D, Depeche Mode, Snoop Dogg and The Chemical Brothers amongst many other great artists and became a producer of note, highly sought after having worked with Kelis, UK rapper Kano and Black Eyed Peas to name a few. Chilly Gonzales' "Ivory Tower" is his first fully produced and co-written album which was released in August 2010. He has further collaborated with his friend and fellow Erol Alkan: The first record "Death Suite" / "Waves" was released on Ridhas imprint BNR, follow up "Lemonade" / "Avalanche" came out on Erol's label Phantasy Sound. An "Avalanche" re-release, a new version featuring Brit-God Jarvis Cocker, is due for early 2011. Ridha is currently working on the forthcoming Spank Rock album and as well as with New York's finest Scissor Sisters. His recent release of original Boys Noize tracks in September 2010 celebrated the 50th release on Boysnoize Rec as well as the launch of the first sublabel BNR TRAX which presented its first release in October 2010.
