‘Clouds’ is a treat for the senses from start to finish, shimmering D+B soul comes equipped with a moving vocal lead from Phoebe Freya, gentle keys and gorgeous guitar solos. Since settling into Bristol’s cultural hub Keeno has thrived. His latest project ‘Music For Orchestra: Drums & Bass’ fuses two worlds, pumping rich classical scores with an underground drum & bass heartbeat. The recording of live orchestral elements in four new tracks has propelled his distinctive repertoire to new heights, making an incredible follow-up to his sophomore album ‘Futurist'.

Opening track ‘Enigma’ balances thick staccato strings, long drawn harmonics and weighty bass for full impact. Since Keeno took part in Enter Shikari’s ‘Hospitalised’ remix album frontman Rou Reynolds has been a big fan. He’s returned the favour with a vocal lead on ‘Shelter From The Storm’ where natural elements create an earthly atmosphere for this deep bassy roller. Turning to Keeno’s more dancefloor focused persona ‘Fading Fast’ mixes a heavy reverberating bassline with sharp breaths of strings to create a tension-building, powerful counterpart. Finally, the church-like vocals of ‘Insomnia Of An Anxious Mind’ echo the somber sounds of late night emotions - a satisfyingly moody alternative to Keeno’s usual uplifting magic.

Keeno’s back with a grand gesture. Succeeding his outstanding debut album, “Life Cycle”, the “Futurist” LP soars through sixteen tracks with boundless finesse.

Keeno thrives with his cinematic and orchestral offshoots of drum & bass, silken smooth soundscapes and deep weighty bass.

Opening track “Faithless” sets the scene with elegant and epic string sections jumping into a playful arrangement. With serious drum-work in place vocal talents Oscar Corney, MC Fava and Alice Gasson bring tracks “Lifeline”, “Perspective” and “A Breath” to life with tight harmonies and rich, velvet tones. Keeno hasn’t held back in “Dream Sequence”, “At Twilight” and “Futurism” with majestic grandeur travelling seamlessly through star-lit journeys of sound and space.

The growth and musical virtuosity of this young talent has flourished since signing to Med School back in 2013. By uniting his high-end production skills and classical training in a multitude of instruments Keeno has quenched the thirst of drum & bass lovers across the globe.

Last year Keeno took a leap of faith, deciding to leave his full time education behind to set his sights on what is sure to be a long career ahead in music. It’s abundantly clear this was the right choice - “Futurist” embodies everything we’ve come to expect from this exceptionally talented young producer.

‘Ten Years of Med School’ celebrates the plethora of talent to have emerged over the past decade showcasing snapshots of the imprint’s most memorable releases alongside hints of an even brighter future. Originally the understated sister label of Hospital Records, Med School is now a standalone soldier playing a significant role in electronic music, scouring every hidden corner of drum & bass and beyond.

The release showcases 18 brand new and exclusive tracks, including some stunning remixes of the label’s finest moments. Ivy Lab lead Etherwood’s uplifting ‘We’re Nothing Without Love’ down a more ominous path while Kimyan Law strips down Royalston’s drum crazy ‘Jungle Gone Down’. Frederic Robinson injects a cloud-like bounce into Keeno’s ‘Nocturne’ and Bop gives ‘Pray’ by The Erised a stunning 170bpm rework.

The album also features a host of new creations and collaborations. Etherwood and Royalston prove that opposites attract on ‘Eyes On Me’ which brilliantly combines subtle, soulful overtones with a dark, metallic allure. Newest Med School recruit Whiney presents the deep, melancholic magic of ‘Nightfall’ while label veteran Lung returns with the energetic ‘To Infinity & Be Gone’. There are also fresh contributions from the roster’s past, present and future, including works from Anile, Rawtekk, G.H.O.S.T, Blu Mar Ten, Joe Syntax, Electrosoul System, Sunchase and more.

The ten year celebrations don’t end there as Etherwood rediscovers some back catalogue highlights and blends with the album’s new material in a continuous DJ mix of 100% Med School music.

The ‘Flawless’ LP showcases Electrosoul System’s innovative style - an album reinvigorating drum & bass experimenting with raw industrialised sounds and futuristic twists. With an abundance of originality, ‘Flawless’ demonstrates the refined skill of one of Russia’s most exciting musical talents.

Journeying through an eclectic set of tracks from the deep jungle trek of ‘Time Traveller’ to the hypnotic warehouse wanderings of ‘Shadows’, tempting the ear with the all-alluring vocals of Deeizm. Title track, ‘Flawless’ takes a trip through a daydream state, following through with the funk fusions of ‘Past-Time Cruiser’ before dropping into ‘Harder Than Sox’ for some relentless percussive pull-ins.

Having begun producing from the mere age of fourteen, its unsurprising Electrosoul System has already had a successful string of releases on a number of well established drum & bass imprints, alongside running his own label KOS.MOS.MUSIC.

Also remembered for his prominent appearance in Hospital Record’s ‘The Future Sound of Russia’ compilation back in 2009, whilst fast-forwarding to 2015 Electrosoul System featured on Sunchase’s “Thing” – a firm favourite from the stunning ‘The Truth’ EP.

Impressing once more with this fine contribution to the Med School catalogue, ‘Flawless’ is set to excite the ears and open the eyes of Med School and KOS.MOS fans alike.
