Following The Erised’s universally praised debut LP ‘Room 414’, it’s with great pleasure that we announce their return to Med School with ‘Let Me Be’. Demonstrating a tragic yet euphoric sound that remains fervently unique. The depth and emotive power of lead singer Sonya’s lyrics is a cosmic ballet of melancholic sentiment laced with optimism.
This single is everything that first drew us to the Ukrainian quartet; a melting pot of sensation stirred in the cauldron that is the Erised’s musical talent. Such stupendous vocal power of the leading lady in conjuncture with the flawless strokes of musical eloquence from fellow band mates has once again proved to be a recipe for resounding success. Alternative pop has never felt so unbridled and rugged.

Med School’s most innovative release series returns. Responsible for delivering the drum & bass scene early stories of Etherwood, Royalston, Stray and Whiney, ‘New Blood’ is definitive of Med School’s ethos when it comes to discovering and nurturing quality talent. With artists constantly redrawing the boundaries of 170BPM, this ‘018’ edition breaks the mould showcasing the weird and wonderful sounds from the genre’s most promising new talent.
Interdimensional waveman Lakeway has mustered up a jukey-jungle hybrid in the form of ‘Lock Off’. Panpipe synths and some big beat steps combine to make the ultimate banger. Keeping things correct is Bristolian serpent Constrict. Choppy snares and flirty 8-bit synth stabs slither together to create ‘Tight Coil’. Both choice cuts for any DJ looking for that D&B curveball.
This internationally spread line-up also features some of Russia’s best D&B exports. A.Fruit’s ‘Tender Love’ is a delectable fusion of footwork and techno rolled into one and Soela’s ‘I Wish You Would Come’ is an ambient spaced out down tempo number.
A myriad of styles from across the globe are the key ingredients for the ‘New Blood 018’ LP. Med School has once again proven its A&R prowess, signalling to the world there is no better home for fresh talent.

Etherwood headed down to the YouTube Space Studios in London to record a beautiful acoustic version of 'Climbing'.
Performed by Etherwood and Steve Pycroft.
Buy/Stream Here: https://Etherwood.lnk.to/InStillnessym
Etherwood proudly unveils his outstanding third studio album ‘In Stillness’. Forged deep in the Nordic wilderness, this 15 track LP sees an exceptional producer return at the very top of his game.
By finding solace in Finnish solitude Etherwood has undoubtedly created his finest body of work. Featuring singles ‘Fire Lit Sky’ and ‘Bear’s Breeches’, the album is a pensive and raw tale filled with honest lyrics and moving music. Providing some of the most awe-inspiring and poignant drum & bass that Med School has released to date.
Title track ‘In Stillness’ sets the tone, walking a blissful line of Etherwood’s own vocal stylings and angelic melodies. ‘Climbing’ is a further homage to his forte as both a songwriter and producer where atmospheric amens twinned with soaring pads bring an elegance that few other can master.
‘Lay Your Armour Down’ is a stunning sensation of vocal chops and distinguished breakbeat as well as ‘Frozen Grass’, that brings a wave of warmth with gentle keys and soothing songwriting.
The tranquil and mysterious Finnish wilderness coupled with total isolation fuelled his inspiration. It was through this detachment that he was truly free to pursue his art in the purest form. As is portrayed through the words of Etherwood’s favourite scholar Arthur Schopenhauer.
‘A man can be himself only so long as he is alone; and if he does not love solitude, he will not love freedom; for it is only when he is alone that he is really free.’

Med School’s freshest recruit serves up the ‘Losing My Mind’ EP, his debut solo release on the label since signing exclusively back in May. Earlier tracks with the imprint include 'Change Of Direction' and 'Another Year' on the acclaimed 'New Blood' series, he also joined in with big sister Hospital’s “We Are 18” birthday celebrations with ‘Requiem’.
Anile hones his production finesse into this elegant and sophisticated four-track EP. The title track combines bold brass stabs, brooding string sections and an indelible vocal hook into an alluring drum & bass roller. Throughout the rest of the assembly you can be sure to dote on a brew of deep-seated basslines, thoughtful musicality and rolling breaks.
Having delivered a scintillating remix of Blu Mar Ten earlier this year and with releases on the likes of Soul:r and Commercial Suicide, Anile looks to further cement his sound in the drum & bass consciousness with this latest collection of tracks on Med School. Following the success of Rawtekk's enthralling debut album 'Sprouted and Formed' last year, Med School is excited to present a new EP that features four incredible drum & bass remixes from some of the scene's most techncially-accomplished and well-respected producers.
Friend and fellow German, Phace, has stepped up with a rework of 'Photone Recruits' that is somehow even heavier and more brutal than it's predecessor, receiving DJ support from S.P.Y, Ed Rush, Enei, June Miller, Foreign Concept and Radio 1 airplay from Rockwell and Friction. Austrian Mefjus adds his own high-energy twist to 'No More Vaccine' whilst Sarajevo's finest Billain gives 'Amber's Love Was Like A Marble' the full neuro treatment. In addition, Rawtekk supply a Neuropop VIP remix of their own 2011 YouTube hit 'Snowflakes', which featured on Med School's "New Blood 011" compilation and has racked up over 350,000 views.
The original 'Sprouted and Formed' album was featured in VICE magazine's top 5 "Best Drum & Bass Albums" of 2013 and the limited-edition vinyl sold out within 3 weeks of release. Don't miss this!

The ‘Flawless’ LP showcases Electrosoul System’s innovative style - an album reinvigorating drum & bass experimenting with raw industrialised sounds and futuristic twists. With an abundance of originality, ‘Flawless’ demonstrates the refined skill of one of Russia’s most exciting musical talents.
Journeying through an eclectic set of tracks from the deep jungle trek of ‘Time Traveller’ to the hypnotic warehouse wanderings of ‘Shadows’, tempting the ear with the all-alluring vocals of Deeizm. Title track, ‘Flawless’ takes a trip through a daydream state, following through with the funk fusions of ‘Past-Time Cruiser’ before dropping into ‘Harder Than Sox’ for some relentless percussive pull-ins.
Having begun producing from the mere age of fourteen, its unsurprising Electrosoul System has already had a successful string of releases on a number of well established drum & bass imprints, alongside running his own label KOS.MOS.MUSIC.
Also remembered for his prominent appearance in Hospital Record’s ‘The Future Sound of Russia’ compilation back in 2009, whilst fast-forwarding to 2015 Electrosoul System featured on Sunchase’s “Thing” – a firm favourite from the stunning ‘The Truth’ EP.
Impressing once more with this fine contribution to the Med School catalogue, ‘Flawless’ is set to excite the ears and open the eyes of Med School and KOS.MOS fans alike.

In 2015 London Elektricity surprised us all with his first album in over five years. ‘Are We There Yet?’ more than deserved its influx of praise, now the Med School team has taken on the label boss’ latest masterpiece. The ‘Med School Scans’ LP examines, dissects and transforms each track, injecting every member’s unique persona into the critically acclaimed original.
Etherwood, Keeno and Anile compliment London Elektricity’s originals with class, elevating each into majestic adaptations. Whiney and S.P.Y keep up the funk of ‘Tenderless’ and ‘Why Are We Here?’ while seeping through heavier subs and thicker percussions. Frederic Robinson creates an epic, dreamlike state with his rendition of ‘Seven Days To Live’.
Royalston and Rawtekk don’t hold back, their reconstructions of ‘Tone Poem’ and ‘Telefunken Lizard Filter’ move from jazz and soul to depth and darkness. The LP also features members of The Erised with Hidden Element taking ‘Parallax’ to a whole other level.
Outside of the Med School alumni, we’ve got up and comers GLXY with a sublime half-time trip on ‘Artificial Skin’. Kimyan Law keeps things crisp, finely tuning ‘That Thing You Did’ and Subwave falls deep into a whirlpool of Emer Dineen’s luscious vocals in his portrayal of ‘Phase Us’.
All 15 tracks in this remix LP keep hold of the London Elektricity essence yet spread the sound further across either end of the drum & bass spectrum. With ten years already behind them, Med School continue to push forward as a strong, independent player exploring every corner of drum & bass with their diverse roster of talented artists.

Almost two years on from his incredibly well-received debut album and Etherwood is back with the highly anticipated, “Blue Leaves” LP, a body of work showcasing the sheer talent of one of the UK’s most exciting artists in electronic music. Within this fourteen-track LP, Etherwood has not only displayed his perfected production skills but also outshone more than ever before with his own vocal performances and instrumental prowess.
Captivating listeners with his creativity, Etherwood explores the finer soundscapes of drum & bass, relaying the liquid beauty that his continually growing following have come to love him for. Included are the already popular 2015 releases, “You’ll Always Be a Part of Me”, “Souvenirs” featuring Zara Kershaw and most recent single, “Light My Way Home” featuring Eva Lazarus, premiered by BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac. Within fourteen tracks, not one is undeserving of its place on what is a truly outstanding album.
Enriched with sublime symphonic sounds, “For A Time I Was You” and “Cast Away” drift through epic elevations and enrapturing orchestral outbreaks that will undoubtedly stop all in their tracks. Powerful string sections, moving piano-led melodies and rolling percussions exude elegance, staying true to Etherwood’s signature sound.
The heart of “Blue Leaves” lies within “Revive”, rich with raw emotion and Eva Lazarus’ unforgettable vocal hooks - a musical match made in heaven between Etherwood and longstanding Hospital Records signee, Logistics. The album's soul is sparked with a S.P.Y collaboration in “We're Nothing Without Love”, a testament to Etherwood's growth as an impressive singer/songwriter.
Similarly, “Caption”, “Breathe It In” and “Sunlight Splinters” highlight his completed skill set, with crisp percussions and soft waves of bass bound by his own powerful vocal performance. Finally, the breath-taking finale of “The Last Hour” draws a quaint close to the Etherwood 2.0 experience.
Since signing to Med School, Etherwood has risen from a humble underground following to gaining support from some of the world’s most respected DJs and broadcasters with his most recent releases receiving regular airwave play on BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra, Kiss FM, Capital Radio and Rinse FM. The “Blue Leaves” LP is sure to set Etherwood on the same promising path showcasing his ever-growing repertoire of electronic masterpieces for one of the most inspiring drum & bass albums of the year.
