Now we are going back, way back to the very early 90's & before Jungle was even a thing and Drum & Bass was a mere generic term used to describe the dub version or riddim track of a Reggae tune or pretty much any genre for that matter.
Back then, in 91, the raw breakbeat infused high energy style of house music coming from the UK was simply known as Hardcore.
Kaotic Chemistry aka 2 Bad Mice were responsible for some of the most seminal & groundbreaking Hardcore music of that era with many of those tracks standing the test of time today.
KC/2BM were very much part of the Movin Shadow stable, who were at the forefront of this musical revolution, alongside other pioneering labels like Reinforced, Sub Base & of course Metalheadz, who came a bit later following the masterpiece that was Terminator by Goldie that introduced us to the iconic Metalheadz logo. Goldie very much coming from the school of 4 Hero, Doc Scott, Randall & all at Reinforced Records, where Metalheadz founder Goldie honed his craft as the collective Rufige Kru.
Fast forward 30 years & Metalheadz have had some of those classics remixed for a special 25th Anniversay edition. This Madcap remix of Drum Trip is my pick but to be honest they are all top drawer, as you would expect. ℹ️
