Behind the Track:
Deathbed was written on a very lonely Christmas eve last year when my housemates had all gone home for Christmas. A very acute feeling emerged of ‘what will my final thought be?’ This quickly led to, ‘what if my final thought is about this person?’--the person I was grieving for at the time. The song represents that fear to me, but also the feeling of acceptance that it’s over, and seeing the relationship for the beautiful experience that it was.
