Close Relative - Salt, Released 2021-07-30, Truesoul, TRUE12141

A fresh project from an established techno artist continues an exciting summer for Adam Beyer's Truesoul imprint.

Close Relative takes his inspiration from nature and open-minded festivals. The tracks celebrate life, music and freedom, in all their variant forms. His debut release 'Salt' is a quadruplet of aces. The title track is a hypnotic techno roller, tailored made for a deliciously hazy festival session. 'Swell' begins on the dreamy tip, before a muscular synth builds to prominence and steamrolls into crowd pleasing territory. 'Tide' is the sound of a luminescent summer, before a metallic bassline propels the cut into sweaty rave territory. 'Eel' is strikingly beautiful, twinkling house made for those necessary gear change that occur during every DJ set. Truesoul is excited to see what unfolds for this burgeoning project.
