► Liquid Drum & Bass Mix -
Starting off this liquid drum & bass mix with the title track from the brand new EP from Colossus out now on Soul Deep Recordings, "Wake Up" alongside Echo Motion & Jess Ratcliffe leads the way. Next up is a piece taken from Henry's truly sensational double release which dropped yesterday on DNBB Records, "Don't Need That" is up in second spot, the flip "Wildfire" alongside Crystal Alice also features at 18:56. Up in third spot is the first of a couple of forthcoming pieces from Bay 6 Recordings boss Echo Motion, "Persistence" (4:04) & "This World Is Ours" (8:32) alongside Kate McQuaide will be making their way to Yumi in mid February. Moving into the topic of Bay 6 Recordings, they have a forthcoming 4 track EP from the amazing Ben Rolo due to release at the end of the month (29th Jan), "Fluorescent" (6:18), "Dusk" (25:27) & "Bicycle Day" (52:54) all feature in the mix. On the topic of forthcoming pieces, the mighty Flicka has a sensational 6 track EP which is due to drop via Detached Audio this coming February 5th, there's a few sneak peaks with the inclusion of "Gateway" (14:30), "Date Night" (38:18) & "Answephone" (43:31). You'll also find the rest of Colossus's "Wake Up" EP scattered throughout the mix, the incredible "Houdini" features at 10:45 with "Sonder" & "Repent" sliding a little later on at (40:32) & (45:23) respectively. The Various Arsists "Winter Soul" EP was released yesterday via Liqüid Series, Sub:liminal's amazing "Fluttering Leaves" features just after 17 minutes. Sending a huge amount of love to Eliottski for reaching out with the amazing "Move On" which features just after 21 minutes. "Reflection" by Manikin is a brilliant free download from Skankandbass which is available over on SoundCloud. Link below, and on the topic of freebies, Smooth's beautiful "Into The Sun" is a free offering also available on Soundcloud, and Killer Industries absolutely nailed their truly brilliant remix of "Light Years" by The Midnight. Link for that below also. Insideman has been absolutely killing it lately & his most recent EP on Soul Deep is no exception, the title track "Electrotype" features at 33:28. A few older pieces in here as usual, the masterclass that is Mr Majestic by Calibre & High Contrast first dropped on Signature in 2004, "Soft Spoken" by In:Most & Changing Faces alongside Charli Brix first graced our ears through Soulvent in 2017 & seeing us out is "Rwenzori" by Sirus & Detached Audio boss K2T, which first graced us back in late 2018.
