Zomby is a dubstep producer who began releasing music in 2007. He has released music on the likes of Hyperdub and Werk Discs. In 2008, he released a full length album, Where Were U in '92?, inspired by the rave scene of the early 1990s. Zomby was chosen by Animal Collective to perform at the All Tomorrow's Parties festival that they curated in May 2011, but he failed to show for the gig. Zomby's style is heavily influenced by the Eskibeat sound of pioneering Grime producer Wiley.

Panda Bear is the moniker of Noah Lennox, a founding member of Animal Collective and member of Jane.
Lennox grew up in the Roland Park section of Baltimore, Maryland. As a child, he played sports, studied piano and cello. He later sang tenor in his high school chamber choir. After graduation, he attended Boston University but dropped out in 2000 and moved to New York to dedicate himself to his music.
His first solo release was the self titled Panda Bear in 1999, which was released under Soccer Star Records, a label founded by fellow Animal Collective member, Deakin
.
After its creation, Lennox focused on Animal Collective, putting his solo project aside. He picked it back up in 2004 and released Young Prayer that year. In 2007 he followed up with the critically acclaimed Person Pitch.
In Animal Collective, Noah was primarily responsible for percussion, although he has recently transitioned to working with samples in addition to contributing vocals and playing a variety of other instruments. He adopted the name Panda Bear from an early tape of his material, on which he drew a panda.

Washed Out is Ernest Greene, a young guy from Perry, Georgia, USA who makes bedroom synthpop that sounds blurred and woozily evocative, like someone smeared Vaseline all over an early OMD demo tape, then stayed up all night trying to recreate what they heard.
There's a sense of longing and distance in Greene's somber, filtered vocals, but it's what he does compositionally that makes Washed Out stand out. Backed by gently pulsing, Balearic-tinged disco, Greene's voice takes on a new dimension. Reminiscent of groups like The Glass and the Chromatics, Washed Out is the music to end your night with, when the city is quiet and you've got a long walk home ahead of you.

Grimes is the alias of Claire Boucher, a Montreal-based, Vancouver native, artist. Grimes fuses contemporary instrumentation with classical vocal practices from around the world.
She recently released a split 12" with D'eon titled Darkbloom. In 2010 she released a cassette titled Geidi Primes on Arbutus and the LP Halfaxa.

WU LYF (pronounced "Woo Life", stands for "World Unite Lucifer Youth Foundation") are a band from Manchester, England that originally became known for creating a mystery about themselves by declining requests for interviews and not releasing much information to the press. The band describes their music as "heavy pop".

At the heart of the music Rebecca Scheja and Fiona Fitzpatrick make as Rebecca & Fiona is their friendship. The pair met through a mutual friend over six years ago in their hometown of Stockholm and immediately connected over life, music and everything in between. Both were grounded in the Swedish DJ scene, promoting club nights around town, and eventually transformed their connection to the genre by creating music of their own. The duo released their first single, “Luminary Ones,” in May of 2010 and scored an opening slot for Robyn on her European Tour. Their sound expanded on buoyant debut album I Love You, Man, which was released in the U.S. in the spring of 2012. Now Rebecca & Fiona’s second album, “Beauty Is Pain”, reveals a continuation in their friendship and an evolution in their music.

Swedish group jj emerged in 2009 on the Gothenburg-based record label Sincerely Yours with a particularly gratifying take on the musical preoccupations common to much of the label's roster, which includes its founders, The Tough Alliance. jj are distributed in North America by Secretly Canadian. The band consists of Joakim Benon and Elin Kastlander.
jj's take on neo-Balearic indie pop filters Air France's tropical haze, The Tough Alliance's penchant for slyly irreverent appropriation, and The Honeydrips' fragile twee pop melodicism into a beguilingly lush, gently electronic style, reminiscent of prime Saint Etienne with a smoother, beachier sheen. jj also share their label mates' propensity for mystery, favoring an artfully enigmatic presentation. Vocalist Elin Kastlander provides a distinguishing sonic hallmark in the form of her warm, lusciously smooth alto.
jj released their debut single jj n° 1 in early 2009. A couple of months later they released their debut album jj n° 2. Their third album, jj n° 3, was released on March 9, 2010.
In late 2010, jj released a mixtape called Kills. The first single from Kills, "Let Them," sampled Akon's "Right Now (Na Na Na)." The single also featured a B-side entitled "I'm The One/Money On My Mind" that samples "Intro" by The xx.
Aside from their official releases, jj has also done several covers and new takes on contemporary songs. For example, they've recorded covers of Akon's "Troublemaker," Jeremih's "Birthday Sex," and the "Theme Song" for the classic 70s American tv series Welcome Back, Kotter. All of these tracks were released for free on the internet.

Keep Shelly in Athens are an electronic / downtempo ambient balearic band from Athens, Greece.
Hailing from Greece's capital, the duo 'Keep Shelly In Athens' have been the toast of the blog world for a while now, and their first EP for Planet Mu is in keeping with a consistent level of odd synth-pop that the label has released this year from Tropics to Vezelay, Heterotic to Solar Bears.
With several releases under their belt they first came to our attention with their remix of Solar Bears 'Cub', an awesome re-imagining of the track from the boys debut album. The remix is a monumental slice of cold but blissful synth pop, with stadium-sized reverbs and punched-in repetitive vocals over rumbling guitars and punchy drums.
'The Chains' has all the off-key atmosphere of an Italian horror film soundtrack with the band's female singer intoning a melody that could come from a 'Violator' era Depeche Mode song. The whole song breaks down towards the end into an intense finale.
Title track 'Campus Martius' has a giant humming bassline, with electronic drums scratching away like insects flying at windows, as a gentle piano line ripples over the top painting a feeling of airy pleasure while vocal samples drop a melody at altered pitches. A scene of tentative bliss.
Finally, 'Struggle With Yourself' pits Sarah's raw singing over a weird acidic bassline that could easily sound at home on a Coil record along with loose guitar strums, before the track breaks into light spoken word and angelic vocals, finishing off as it started, but with a stark warning.
