Serbian phenom Vintage & Morelli has emerged as a singular talent on our roster. His extraordinary and truly unique compositional style, on which he has worked tirelessly over the last 15 years, combines elements of house, progressive, trance, and downtempo into vivid, cinematic soundscapes that never fail to move the listener. Since releasing "My Rose Enchanted Destiny," his debut artist album, over 3 years ago, his career has reached new heights, thanks to a consistent output of acclaimed singles and EPs on our label, as well as various contributions to the likes of Anjunabeats, Armada, and FSOE. On the heels of live dates in Australia and The Netherlands, Vintage & Morelli will tour the States for the first time this summer, as the main headliner of our Silk Music Showcase #500 Tour.

Needless to say, the stage is set for the arrival of "Hymn To The Night," his greatly anticipated second artist album. Representing the pinnacle of Vintage & Morelli's musical development, the album offers a full spectrum of his composition gifts, from gorgeous orchestral and breaks tracks to a significant amount of peak-hour progressive house and trance cuts. That's not all: his long-standing collaborator Arielle Maren, the extraordinary American singer-songwriter who has graced so many of Vintage & Morelli's most famous works, makes a tremendous contribution to this record, with her characteristically stirring lyrics and vocals gracing no less than five of the tracks on this album, including the singles "Breathe" and "Lonely Shore," the latter also featuring instrumental touches from renowned producer RNX. Canadian singer-songwriter Brandon Mignacca also appears twice on the album; his recent work with Sound Quelle introduced his beautiful songwriting and vocal performances to our community, and his collaborations with Vintage & Morelli on this album -- "Love Is" and "Bloom" -- profoundly and poignantly celebrate the healing power of love. There is quite literally a song for all electronic music tastes on "Hymn To The Night," and Vintage & Morelli pours his soul into each and every track, with sweeping instrumental motifs decorating the canvas of each arrangement. It is our extraordinary honor to present this album to our Silk Music Family, as well as new fans of emotive electronic music from across the globe.

Sound Quelle has risen to the highest ranks of our label roster this year, courtesy of an array of magnificent electronic music releases, ranging in genre from deep house to trance. Featured initially on our "Arrival 02: Destination Indonesia" compilation, "Toscana" is an electrifying anthem by Sound Quelle, in collaboration with Max Meyer. We're thrilled to finally present this track in its full (DJ-friendly) form, alongside two brand new remixes by the wonderful Miroslav Vrlik and Aleksey Sladkov.

The Original Mix kicks off with an aggressive rhythm and rapturous chord sequence. As the energy crescendoes, the layered chords are joined by lush side melodies and ethereal pads. The emotion truly reaches its zenith in the breakdown and subsequent drop, where celestial vocal stabs punctuate an earth-shattering groove.

Miroslav Vrlik, who recently contributed to our "Silk Royal Showcase 05" compilation with the breathtaking "Rhythm Of The Guitar", offers an equally euphoric and exhilarating interpretation. His mix centers on an 1/8 note chord sequence, as well as a variety of atmospheric flourishes, which infuse the mix with a cinematic feel. In the break, an unforgettable new melody is introduced, which continues throughout the drop.

Finally, first-time Silk contributor Aleksey Sladkov makes a tremendous opening statement with his inspired interpretation. Gorgeous midrange "texture" is created through numerous lead layers, coupled with symphonic strings. With thrilling anticipation, we are finally treated to an extraordinarily beautiful climactic theme, which radiates pure joy directly into the listener's soul. Given his obvious talent for peak-hour anthems with intelligence and heart, Sladkov is definitely an artist to watch going forward.

A.M.R, the extraordinarily gifted Qatari composer and DJ, has awed our label community in recent years, with a delicate and deep signature sound that is at once timeless and transcendent. Blending elements of deep house, downtempo, progressive house, and even orchestral music, his versatile, multifaceted compositions are capable of bringing you out on the dancefloor in one moment and inducing serene meditation in the next. It is our great privilege to present "A Place For Everything," A.M.R's debut album.

It begins and closes with stirring orchestral pieces, which bookend an otherwise more rhythmically inclined aural experience. Standout 4/4 cuts like "Sailor's Cry," "Hidden Sun," and "Crystal Fountain" feature achingly beautiful vocal textures, if not full verses and choral sections. Worthy of special note, Canadian singer-songwriter Brandon Mignacca delivers an extraordinary lyrical and vocal performance on "Fell Out Of Love," a deep-tinged ballad.

2019 was a breakthrough year for Vintage & Morelli, as he not only dropped his acclaimed artist album ("Hymn To The Night"), but also headlined our Silk Music Showcase #500 Tour across six US cities this past summer. V&M's longtime friend and muse Arielle Maren proved to be a major contributor to "Hymn To The Night," with five official collaborations on the album.

One of their standout tracks together, "Lonely Shore," now receives the remix treatment from celebrated veteran duo Blood Groove & Kikis, as well as the legendary RNX (aka Robert Nickson), who co-produced the original version of the track. In the final analysis, all three versions of "Lonely Shore" offer unique arrangements that fall somewhere along the progressive electronic music spectrum, but the radiant melodies and ineffably affecting vocals of Arielle Maren shine through them all.

Versatile Russian producer and label resident Gregory Esayan is ready with a brand new EP called "One Way Ticket", including three outstanding progressive cuts. The title track, "One Way Ticket", starts off with a truly hypnotizing atmosphere, including a vast array of lush synth elements. Smooth percussion elements, as well as delightful chord changes follow shortly thereafter. An inspiring breakbeat emerges mid-track, beautifully accompanied by mesmerizing piano lines and pad layers.

Next in line, "Forever Child" includes a strong beat, intriguing vocal stems, and soothing background synth elements. In context to the song title, the theme melody tells a beautiful story, which is enhanced by the memorable vocal elements and synth structures.

Showing apparent inspiration from Spanish traditional music, "Ararat" includes a truly interesting guitar riff, as well as an energetic arpeggio line. The break includes smooth synth effects and a lush presentation of the main guitar melody.

Sound Quelle, one of the most prolific and decorated contributors to our label, treats us to "Iridescent," his transcendent debut artist album. An artist whose compositional gifts traverse the electronic dance music spectrum, he is perhaps best known for his trance & progressive works, thanks to consistent radio support from Armin van Buuren and Above & Beyond in recent years. Yet, on our label, the Russian phenom has carved his niche exploring deeper sonic terrain, and it is from that wellspring that his new "Iridescent" LP has blossomed.

Consisting of a dozen mesmerizing tunes, the album evinces a strong world music influence, as the various deep and progressive-flavored cuts are imbued with hints of the exotic, including the frequent use of quasi-ethnic motifs. The album also showcases two new collaborations with Canadian singer-songwriter and recent muse Brandon Mignacca, whose achingly beautiful vocal stylings perfectly complement Sound Quelle's poignant instrumental themes. Silk Music is thrilled to present Silk Music Showcase 06, the sixth installment of the series, once again mixed by Jacob Henry and Tom Fall. The compilation is inspired by our weekly radio show of the same name, which is co-hosted by Jacob and Tom, as well as Johan Vilborg, Jayeson Andel, Vintage & Morelli, & Terry Da Libra. Reaching international listeners on Proton Radio, Digitally Imported, and other radio platforms, Silk Music Showcase recently reached its 400th episode (http://www.silkmusicshowcase.com) and now often ranks amongst the Top 100 Music Podcasts in the USA on iTunes.

Carefully selected to represent the sound of our radio show (and, more generally, our label), the songs included in the compilation range from the more pensive and melancholic shades of progressive to the more club-oriented, peak-hour material we tend to play at the end of our radio show mixes and live sets. Many of the artists are seasoned veterans of the SMS compilation series; there are also numerous first-time contributors to this year's compilation, many of whom have asserted themselves as leading talents in trance & progressive in just the past year.

Sound Quelle, one of the most prolific and decorated contributors to our label, treats us to "Iridescent," his transcendent debut artist album. An artist whose compositional gifts traverse the electronic dance music spectrum, he is perhaps best known for his trance & progressive works, thanks to consistent radio support from Armin van Buuren and Above & Beyond in recent years. Yet, on our label, the Russian phenom has carved his niche exploring deeper sonic terrain, and it is from that wellspring that his new "Iridescent" LP has blossomed.

Consisting of a dozen mesmerizing tunes, the album evinces a strong world music influence, as the various deep and progressive-flavored cuts are imbued with hints of the exotic, including the frequent use of quasi-ethnic motifs. The album also showcases two new collaborations with Canadian singer-songwriter and recent muse Brandon Mignacca, whose achingly beautiful vocal stylings perfectly complement Sound Quelle's poignant instrumental themes. Sound Quelle's penchant for the cinematic can be experienced vis-à-vis the album's opening and concluding cuts, which again demonstrate his remarkable range.

Thus, it is our enormous honor to present "Iridescent," a full listen of which leaves the listener with a palpable sense of spiritual awe.

Consisting of Danish-born (LA-based) producer Tim McEwan and NYC-based singer-songwriter Tyler Lyle, The Midnight have emerged in recent years as a veritable leader of the synthwave resurgence. More specifically, the duo have received generous support from legions of synthwave enthusiasts, as well as more casual synth-pop fans, ever since their aesthetic-defining debut EP, "Days of Thunder" (2014). Their subsequent LP offering, "Endless Summer" (2016), cemented the duo's reputation as one of the finest new synthwave acts, a sentiment that musical legends (Chicane), renowned artist peers (FM-84), and prominent genre hubs (NewRetroWave) have graciously reinforced of late. The Midnight Remixed, one of our most ambitious releases to date, features brand new remixes by a distinguished group of Silk Music veterans, whose melodic and atmospheric sound has significantly helped to define our brand. We've also recruited a few famed nonresident label contributors, including Lifelike and Michael Cassette, whose specific compositional gifts and musical legacies seemed especially apropos to this 80s-influenced endeavor.

It is our great privilege to welcome back the gifted NYC-based artist, whose immersive atmospheres and driving deep-progressive rhythms suit the dancefloor and introspective moments of reflection alike.
