When you get to walk away from something that you’ve loved so dearly you can’t have any regrets. All the bad has to get cleared out, so you can take whatever good with you and step forth in the right direction to maintain a strong and healthy heart. - Inja
No Regrets - Taken from the album "Blank Pages"

LYRICS:
Floating on a star
Looking back at the world I left
Black holes light years
No regret
Floating on a star
Looking back at the world I left
No regrets x2
Yo
What’d you know about string theory
Feeling weary
Black holes take your soul and get teary
Space dust cloud and asteroids near me
Cosmic particles and life's eerie
Watching my world erupt I asked Siri
But no info came from him really
Just muttering words
That I never quite heard
Because my man couldn't speak clearly
Man had to save my soul there's no theory
Find control or lose control merely
Evolve adapt or fall collapse hear me
Die in pain or fight it sincerely
Take off blasting asking “Who's near me?”
If they want to cut the cord escape really
Ain't no reality check like watching a death
Of something you loved so clearly
Floating on a star
Looking back at the world I left
Black holes lights years
No regret
Floating on a star
Looking back at the world I left
No regrets x2
Deep in space I’m out on course
Finding a way I'm back to source
Fuel runs down I count my thoughts
Heading for the sun to light my force
Solar flares I light my torch
Coming from darkest place I draw
Working the symphony I score
‘Till it all dies down I stop and pause
Then man will backflip in a space roll
Where the pace runs slow
But it takes your soul
And it won't let go
Cos it takes control
And a pain in your belly that gravity stole
All the feelings you had
Now it’s all gone cold
And you can't stand firm
But you still stand bold
Just riding a star to find a new home
Lost in space all your comforts are gone
Floating on a star
Looking back at the world I left
Black holes lights years
No regret
Floating on a star
Looking back at the world I left
No regrets x2
No regrets

Striking while the iron’s hot, Hospital legend and drum & bass kingpin Danny Byrd hits us with the second single from his forthcoming album, ‘Hold Up The Crown (feat. Ky Lenz)’. Vocal driven and drenched in that vintage Byrd goodness, this future anthem is primed to be a key part of the summer soundtrack of 2018.
This liquid sizzler is high octane D+B at its best, reaching new heights with vocal and production prowess. Truly striking a chord; this sing-along, rolling, rap infused banger showcases Danny's classic R&B and hip-hop influences, matched up with a soul-filled performance from singer/songwriter Ky Lenz.
It’s already been a sensational return for Danny Byrd with ‘Devil’s Drop’ deemed Annie Mac’s ‘Hottest Record In The World’ on BBC Radio 1 and ‘Salute (feat. MC GQ)’ having taken over airwaves and bass-bins across the globe. 2018 is certainly set to be the year of the Byrd!

When I'm in a dance, don't cry on my shoulder
I'm not on a street tip but these bitches love Sosa
No gun in my holster, vibes are taking over
Run that D&B brother these bitches love (x2)
They love Sosa, they love Sosa.
You know I'm only joking, it's the ammy that I'm smoking
I'm too high to be taken seriously, I'm ranting & raving deliriously
So my apologies, so my apologies
If good smoke was countries
Then I'm acquiring colonies.
And I've done things that I don't wanna admit to you
And I've done things that I don't wanna admit to you
Cos I've done things I just don't wanna admit to you
So please don't grill me on my past
My changes are now, I'm making you proud
I feel sun kissed, I'm on some drunk shit
Don't deconstruct it, today we're vibesin'
Today we're vibesin'.
And this world doesn't always spin the right way round
And this world doesn't always spin the right way round
Cos this world doesn't always love the right way round
So please don't think you've lost control
Make time for yourself, get lost in this sound
I feel sun kissed, out here we run shit
Good smoke we're bunnin', all smiles for the run in
Smiles for the run in.
I feel sun kissed, yeah (x2)
This is my one wish
Cos it's time to take it slow
We sip and we toke it's all that we know (x3)
I feel sun kissed, out here we run shit
You know this
I feel sun kissed
So please don't think you've lost control.

As one of the founders of Japan’s drum & bass culture, Makoto is a man who needs little introduction. On his sixth studio album, ‘Tomodachi Sessions’, he presents 15-tracks of exquisite, sun-drenched drum & bass soul. Each and every track is a collaboration with a close friend, that has played a part in his twenty-year career, with the likes of DJ Marky, S.P.Y, Bop, MC Conrad, Pola & Bryson, Degs, Karina Ramage and more.
The uplifting summer number, ‘Shine On Through’ is a collaboration with the young breakthrough producer Mountain from Osaka, Japan. Makoto’s signature sound is brought into 2019, soaked in a warm rolling bassline, energetic synths and topped off with vocals from the outstanding singer/songwriter Karina Ramage.
The instrumental masterpiece ‘Kosa’ features Med School’s orchestral maverick Keeno and is the perfect combination of powerful soul, epic strings and dynamic drumwork.
‘Morning Sunrise’, is a majestic dose of drum & bass and is the team effort of Makoto, Danny Wheeler and G Force. It also brings in the vocal powerhouse Blu James, also known from the Basement Jaxx classic ‘Red Alert’.
Having gained respect for the quality of his music since the days of LTJ Bukem’s Good Looking Records, Makoto has gone from strength to strength with an impressive discography that includes seminal classics like ‘Golden Girl’ ft. MC Conrad. Makoto can be found at a number of events and festivals this summer, including Hospitality In The Park 2019, Sun & Bass, Liquicity, Standon Calling, and more.

We Were Told is out today! Get your copy of "Popular Mechanics" here: https://Royalston.lnk.to/PopularMechanicsym
Australian audio architect Royalston has returned to Med School for his third album ‘Popular Mechanics’. Constantly pushing sonic barriers, this LP sees experimental drum & bass and electronica in its most exciting form. A 14-track delectation boasts cutting edge technical prowess balanced with a rich bouquet of musical grace. This combination of Royalston’s engineering expertise and musical pedigree renders an all-encompassing fusion of everything that makes drum & bass great.
‘What We Were Told’ ft ‘Amy Kisnorb’ is your staple drum & bass roller, in overdrive. It’s a twofold bass attack featuring wobbles and growls balanced with Amy’s angelic vocals. This track will be causing carnage in clubs and warehouses across the land with it’s constant evolution and high energy throughout.
Title track ‘Popular Mechanics’ is everything we love about Royalston. A trio of transformation; beginning gently with an uplifting melody which morphs into deeper techier terrain then reaching its climax with a finale of mind warping bass crunches.
Taking things back, Royalston explores a more traditional landscape in the form of ‘Strobes’. With customarily blissful vocals, this track is vintage Med School. Perfectly soulful, flawless and refined, it’s as smooth as butter. A genuinely marvelous specimen of pure splendor and elegance that remains accessible to all musical tribes.

The ‘Flawless’ LP showcases Electrosoul System’s innovative style - an album reinvigorating drum & bass experimenting with raw industrialised sounds and futuristic twists. With an abundance of originality, ‘Flawless’ demonstrates the refined skill of one of Russia’s most exciting musical talents.
Journeying through an eclectic set of tracks from the deep jungle trek of ‘Time Traveller’ to the hypnotic warehouse wanderings of ‘Shadows’, tempting the ear with the all-alluring vocals of Deeizm. Title track, ‘Flawless’ takes a trip through a daydream state, following through with the funk fusions of ‘Past-Time Cruiser’ before dropping into ‘Harder Than Sox’ for some relentless percussive pull-ins.
Having begun producing from the mere age of fourteen, its unsurprising Electrosoul System has already had a successful string of releases on a number of well established drum & bass imprints, alongside running his own label KOS.MOS.MUSIC.
Also remembered for his prominent appearance in Hospital Record’s ‘The Future Sound of Russia’ compilation back in 2009, whilst fast-forwarding to 2015 Electrosoul System featured on Sunchase’s “Kolo” – a firm favourite from the stunning ‘The Truth’ EP.
Impressing once more with this fine contribution to the Med School catalogue, ‘Flawless’ is set to excite the ears and open the eyes of Med School and KOS.MOS fans alike.

Earlier this year Med School stormed into the Top 10 of the iTunes dance album chart with "New Blood 010", the first full length various artist compilation to be released on the label. The album -- revered by critics, DJs and fans in equal measure -- showcased a dozen scalpel-sharp excursions by a plethora of cutting-edge artists. Four of these risings talents have returned to the fold to prescribe a second dose of aural medication as Med School presents "More Blood 010".
"New Blood 010" kick-started the career of young talent Circa with his elegant musical debut "Ida" which instantly found favour with Blu Mar Ten, London Elektricity, Loxy, Eveson and Nerm (BBC). "Kabal" takes Circa's production to new heights, exhibiting a contagious piano riff and a sumptuous bassline progression. Once again, thoughtful drum programming is in full effect with an astute spattering of crisp snare hits proving that less is definitely more.

After firmly establishing his name in drum & bass with two game-changing albums Whiney presents his new release, ‘Stop The Clock’ alongside B-side ‘Breadcrumbs’ that features the microfunk mastermind, Bop.

Anile stepped out of the shadows in 2015 with his brilliant debut album ‘Perspective’ now he’s back with another beautifully textured, deeply hypnotic set of tracks in the ‘Allergens’ EP. His futuristic jungle style snakes through haunting sonic sounds, enthralling sub bass and metallic snares.
‘Your Way’ is another example of the class and quality Anile originates. His intelligent use of space and structure clears the mind with dark grooves and compelling creative flare. Title track ‘Allergens’ infects the ear-ways with manic bee buzzing snares and low frequency basslines - one to get the 3AM hearts racing.
Strong percussion patterns make up the backdrop for a variety of jazzy, melodic elements all loosely connected to create an emotional and ethereal track three, ‘Wish List’. ‘Velvet Glove’ runs in the same vein with a soulful vocal bringing an element of vulnerability to the EP.

Whiney’s underground drum & bass flare has flourished since signing exclusively to Med School. Now he’s set and ready to present his incredible debut album ‘Talisman’ - a symbol of his dedication to D+B with a strong 12-track collection of dancefloor weapons.
The hard-hitting album opener ‘Talisman’ sets the pace with epic musicality, industrial bleeps and fat, meaty basslines. Matching up with the heavyweight business are ‘Archive’ and ‘Rock Hopper’. Plus ‘Minds Collide’ can’t be missed – a middle-eastern influenced half-time stepper that matches up with the exuding attitude of ‘Portal’ that's already received support from neuro giants Noisia.
Whiney’s joined forces with Hospital’s Brazilian mastermind on ‘Sun Kissed’, balancing choppy vocal snippets with Urbandawn’s signature percussions and growling subs. Turning to melancholic movements is ‘The Farthest Shore’ and ‘Never Too Long’ the latter a collaboration with long-term label mate Keeno and lead by a strong vocal topline from Whiney himself. A final collaborative effort comes from Med School’s resident MC Inja who’s brought his lyrical genius to Whiney’s deep roller ‘Flashlight’.

Med School’s most innovative release series returns. Responsible for delivering the drum & bass scene early stories of Etherwood, Royalston, Stray and Whiney, ‘New Blood’ is definitive of Med School’s ethos when it comes to discovering and nurturing quality talent. With artists constantly redrawing the boundaries of 170BPM, this ‘018’ edition breaks the mould showcasing the weird and wonderful sounds from the genre’s most promising new talent.
Interdimensional waveman Lakeway has mustered up a jukey-jungle hybrid in the form of ‘Lock Off’. Panpipe synths and some big beat steps combine to make the ultimate banger. Keeping things correct is Bristolian serpent Constrict. Choppy snares and flirty 8-bit synth stabs slither together to create ‘Tight Coil’. Both choice cuts for any DJ looking for that D&B curveball.
This internationally spread line-up also features some of Russia’s best D&B exports. A.Fruit’s ‘Tender Love’ is a delectable fusion of footwork and techno rolled into one and Soela’s ‘I Wish You Would Come’ is an ambient spaced out down tempo number.
A myriad of styles from across the globe are the key ingredients for the ‘New Blood 018’ LP. Med School has once again proven its A&R prowess, signalling to the world there is no better home for fresh talent.

Fall deep down the rabbit hole with Rawtekk’s ‘Here’s To Them’ LP, a fascinating blend of innovative sound-scapes and twisted dance floor compositions.
Boasting years of experience in the world of professional sound design, Rawtekk's latest creation is a sonic masterpiece - a flawless follow-up to their stunning debut release on Med School back in 2013.
Opening track, ‘The Hatch’, offers the rawest of introductions as Rawtekk welcome you to their world. A swarm of disorder lets rip in ‘Here’s To Them’, chainsaw synths and head-banging chaos in ‘Harbour’ and tear-out, neuro drum-drillings fill ‘Extinction’.
Take a breath with the contrasting tranquility of ‘K.I.A.’, get gripped by the hauntingly delicate, ‘My Love’, and drift away with the wonderland whisperings of ‘Restless’, layered over a rumbling bassline.
'Here’s To Them’ is spider-web of electronic exploration, delivering a sinister, cinematic experience that is guaranteed to inspire the darker side of the imagination.
