Continuing to be one of the busiest instrumentalists and producers on the east coast at present, Sydney’s Jono Graham has unveiled his latest project - a smooth collection of simmering electronic sounds under the name JONCE.

“Creating music is kind of therapy for me. It’s how I make sense of my experiences of the world. It helps me slow down, be reflective, and just be. ’Outside/In’ is the title track and first single off this album. It's kind of like if SBS went to Subsonic Festival. But it’s also how I view the world right now. “

cehryl is a singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist. She was born and raised in the neon bustle of Hong Kong, and has also lived in England and Boston, where she attended Berklee College of Music. She now resides in Los Angeles. She cites Chet Baker, Amy Winehouse, Radiohead, John Mayer, Chopin, Fleetwood Mac and Frank Ocean as her biggest music influences.

Her EP 'Wherever It May Be' was released in Oct 2017 and she's currently working on an LP.

Alternative R&B artist Cameron Bloomfield releases his new track ‘Another Man’s Woman’. Laced with distorted guitar riffs and a syncopated bassline, it is a funk-inspired track that pays homage to the sounds of George Clinton & Thundercat. Inspired by the addictive nature of infatuation, it tells a story of falling in love with a woman who belongs to someone else and how it can make one both emotionally delicate and volatile.

Our first #FutureClassicxDropbox Studio Artist: Ernest Rareberrg: the pseudonym of vocalist Naje F.

Ernest met his producer Walt on twitter over 1 year ago—it’s a sonic internet romance that became an inspiring outlet for the two who have been working on music across state lines ever since but only collaborating in person once or twice prior to landing in LA for the Future Classic x Dropbox Residency program. Ernest’s sound described as 20/20 notes Jon Brion, Neil Young, Scott Walker, & Thom Yorke as influences. We caught up with two to discuss who they are, their first impressions of LA, and hopes for the next year.

Hello to our fourth #FutureClassicxDropbox Studio Artist: Swaine Delgado

The name comes from his last name Swaine and “Delgado sounded cool” and suddenly Swaine Delgado entered the world. It’s indie pop with catchy melodies and it’s utterly cool in its simplicity. His first EP ‘Run Boy, Run’ was self released in 2018. Swaine visited us from Perth, Australia with another EP in mind for 2020.

NADINE is a collaborative project between Nadia Hulett (Phantom Posse), Carlos Hernandez, and Julian Fader (both of Ava Luna). Polyphonic melodies swing and gambol, instrumental layers take generous flourishes and unexpected turns with an ear to the wondrous and occasionally weird, crafting jazz-tinged lounge-pop. All held together by Hulett’s characteristic vocals, strong with a sincerity and gentleness that holds the listener.

It goes without saying that Shelter In Place - A Future Classic Compilation arose from the current times and COVID-19 pandemic. As creatives now wonder about their future livelihoods, the compilation provides a group of rising stars a chance to exhibit their talents. Themes of restlessness, isolation, and hope permeate the seven films, which reflect the emotional impact of self isolation and the ways we can turn to artistic expression to escape them. Future Classic will be donating the first month of proceeds from the release to the Heartland Foundation which helps the most marginalized and vulnerable communities affected by the pandemic.
