It’s time to get serious about improving your programming skills. Let’s do it!
1. Remind yourself how much you have to learn
The first step in learning something is recognizing that you don’t know it. That sounds obvious, but experienced programmers remember how long it took to overcome this personal assumption.
2. Stop trying to prove yourself right
Novice software developers (and too many experienced ones) look at their code to admire its wonderfulness. They write tests to prove that their code works instead of trying to make it fail. Truly great programmers actively look for where they’re wrong—because they know that eventually, users will find the defects they missed.
3. “The code works” isn’t where you stop; it’s where you start
Great programmers know that the first iteration is just the first iteration. It works— congratulations!—but you aren’t done. Now, make it better.
Part of that process is defining what “better” means. Is it valuable to make it faster? Easier to document? More reusable? More reliable? The answer varies with each application, but the process doesn’t.
4. Write it three times
First, you write the software to prove to yourself (or a client) that the solution is possible.
The second time, you make it work.
The third time, you make it work right.
5. Read code. Read lots of code
When you read others’ code, you see how someone else solved a programming problem. But don’t treat it as literature; think of it as a lesson and a challenge. To get better, ask yourself:
6. Write code, and not just as assignments
Working on personal programming projects has many advantages. For one, it gives you a way to learn tools and technologies that aren’t available at your current job, but which make you more marketable for the next one. Whether you contribute to an open source project or take on pro-bono work for a local community organization, you’ll gain tech skills and self-confidence. (Plus, your personal projects demonstrate to would-be employers that you’re a self-starter who never stops learning.)
7. Work one-on-one with other developers any way you can
When you contribute to an open source project, pay attention to the feedback you get from users and from other developers. What commonalities do you see in their criticism?
You might be lucky enough to find a personal mentor whom you can trust to guide you in everything from coding techniques to career decisions. Don’t waste these opportunities.

Can robots replace humans in music production and when is it gonna happen?
Answering this question is no easy task. No one can know for certain, what will occur and what will be created. Modern technologies and latest developments show us that making music will become increasingly computer-based and AI-driven, and lastly, it may serve as a window to the past, held open by any musicians continuing to create music in more traditional ways.
AI, or artificial intelligence, has been part of popular discussion since the 1980s, but only recently has it started to look like an actual possibility. Deep learning is a part of machine learning where AI mimics how humans think. It creates patterns based on data and information it receives from the internet. AI uses resources like social media and search engines such as Google and Youtube to learn music history and different songs. AI then uses the information it learns to distinguish patterns, tempos, and notes to create its own melodies.
But we hope Artificial Intelligent composers will not take over an artists' job. However, it will shape the world with the expansion of creating new music and evolving life.
Even if the Future Garage has nothing to do with the future itself, we are still free to imagine the sounds and beats that A.I. may use as a pattern for producing its own tracks.
GENRE: FUTURE GARAGE (also known as Nu-Garage, Post-Garage, Space Garage, Minimal Garage, Atmospheric Garage) is a genre of electronic music that incorporates a variety of influences from UK garage and softer elements from 2-step garage, leading to an off-kilter rhythmic style. Characteristic sounds are pitched vocal chops, warm filtered reese basses, dark atmospheres (including synth pads, field recordings and other atmospheric sounds) and vinyl crackles. The tempo usually ranges from 130 to 140 bpm, but can also be slower or faster.

What is harmony in music?
Harmony is two or more notes played together at the same time. As soon as there is more than one pitch sounding at a time, you have harmony. Even if nobody is actually playing chords, or even if the notes are part of independent contrapuntal lines, you can hear the relationship of any notes that happen at the same time, and it is this relationship that makes the harmony.
But the concept of harmony in music theory generally refers to building chords, chord qualities, and chord progressions.
Harmony strictly applies to pitched instruments, so clapping and stomping at the same time won’t create a harmony.
You might associate harmonies with vocals, but they can be produced on all multi-pitched instruments – guitars, synths, pianos – or a combination of single-pitched instruments playing different notes at the same time, like two people singing together.
From chart-topping R&B songs to folky acoustic tracks to orchestral works, harmony is a central element of just about everything.

► ► ►What makes the OST of Cyberpunk 2077 sound dark? And why do we like it?
Usually, when we hear about dark music we imagine rock bands and gothic-styled music spliced with creepy orchestra soundtrack from horror movies. But it's not an electronic, pop, background, or even hip hop track that comes to mind when we think about dark sounds.
The emotion of dark music can be cinematic — and that’s a big reason why there is so much appeal to darker emotions. If you think of scary movies or particularly poignant love scenes, the music is dramatic and pulls at your heartstrings. While hearing symphonic-esque soundscapes, you feel that cinematic quality exists in the undertones of background music beats. Generally, distended dissonance makes the music sound creepy, and stronger dissonance is more frightening. When it comes to orchestration, tremolo strings and the low end of the piano are often considered to be very grim or creepy. It’s important to understand, however, that at different points in history within different cultures, music had different connotations. What we consider creepy or dark now, used to just be considered dissonant or tremolo. Sure, a midi synth can’t compete with an orchestra, while talking about electronic and modern music, it can emulate an orchestra сreating those rich and lush chords and ambient atmospheres.
A lot of music, while "dark", is also very thought-provoking and creates a slight pleasurable tension. And it's important to distinguish here between scary, creepy music and dark music as even though they’re related they have different purposes and atmospheric tones. Music, fear, and pleasure have always been related, then. Scientific studies have found that animals with a stronger ability to distinguish pitches also have a heightened ability to specialize their emotional responses to given situations. There is a direct link between our ability to interpret pitch variations and our ability to feel. Dissonant music puts our pitch-interpreting abilities to the test because they're unfamiliar. We get a cognitive workout struggling to derive an appropriate emotional response to such a challenging group of tones. And when all that tension gets released back into a more harmonic or normal passage, we experience a tremendous rush.
But everyone has a different tolerance for these things, and certainly, not everybody likes darky music. But it surely has a lot of influence on contemporary artists and all of the genres. And on some fundamental level, when music slightly scares us, that's because we want to be afraid. It feels good to let loose.

Why does playing music on orbit improve the well-being of cosmonauts on long-duration missions?
That is what Russian space psychologists studied many years ago. Since 1978, a lot of musical instruments have been brought to the International Space Station as part of the overall health support program. Those include acoustic guitars, flutes, keyboards and even bagpipes. You can even find some videos of astronauts' musical experiments on the Internet, like David Bowie's song "Space Oddity" recorded by former astronaut Commander Chris Hadfield while aboard the ISS. Today astronauts also come to the ISS with their personal selection of music that they listen to during their workday by means of various devices. They say it makes them feel more at home or more energetic, helps wake up in the morning or relax after a hard day.
