There is a long chain of inferences that may draw you to a positive answer. To start with, one recent study in neuroscience shows that only about 5% (or less) of our brainpower is devoted to conscious, volitional thought. The other 95% (the subconscious part) operates behind the scenes.

At the same time, it is a science-backed fact that some kinds of music can improve your mood by affecting your subconsciousness. So, the question is what levels of mood one can experience while listening to quality music.

It seems that everything depends on the music and your perception of it. You may just cheer up and thus recover after a long day full of problems and anxiety. Or you may actually feel how some astounding and magnetic sounds make you lighter and drive you far away into a dream world against gravity force. The choice is up to you. But what we advise is our future garage mix. Plentiful entrancing melodies and incredible broken beats, complex drums, distant echoes of dark atmosphere bring a feeling of total oneness.

Starting off this liquid drum & bass mix with a beautiful track from Heist, "Her Smile" is taken from the "Trials & Tribulations" EP out now on Co-Lab Recordings. Sliding into the smooth sounds of the legendary Secret Structures, "These Days" is currently out now on Offworld as a free download, link for that below. Dan Guidance is back once again with the brilliant "Skyline" up in third spot, that's part of a wicked double release on C Recordings which also includes "Spiral Staircase" (15:42). Mr Nitro & Highpass recently threw down the "Voyager" EP on Different Drumz which includes the wonderful "Structured Beauty" in fourth spot. Evo Evolver's sublime bootleg of "Your Power" by Billie Eilish is up in fifth spot, link for that below, and on the topic of free downloads "Closer" by Decades recently dropped on Sinful Maze, link for that below also. "Back To Earth" by ID-S is out now on Space Music. A Dutch prodigy within liquid drum & bass, and a man with a very mature touch, Edlan has already left a massive impression within the scene. Tearing it up for the last two years on both Fokuz Recordings and now Liquicity, he's has deservedly made a name for himself with sensational pieces like "One Way Home", "Shadow" featuring Emy Perez, his most recent "Ravine" EP and the outstanding remix of Smote's classic "My World" to name a few. Wielding a repertoire most veterans would stand proud of, Edlan truly has the scene in the palm of his hands, and you can bet his arsenal of absolute stunning rhythms will only continue to grow as the years progress. Already part of two significantly large labels within the scene, who knows what the future holds, but it's already looking very special. Starting off this liquid drum & bass mix with the title track from Flowrian's amazing new EP, "Southern Taurids" is out now on Celsius Recordings, "May", "Melissa" and "On The Road Again" from the same EP all feature. HEFT's brilliant "Too Much" EP is out now on DNBB, "Just Leave" rolls in just before 9 minutes with the title track featuring just after 32 and a half minutes. Fishy's new "Clouds Below" EP is available now on Amphibious Audio, "Reaching In" features just before 13 minutes. Invidision recently threw down a huge 4 track EP on Ruff DnB, "Passing Low" rolls in just after 20 minutes. Tuesday saw Duksta come through Noxious Recordings with his first fully fledged release, teaming up with Ian Holmes on "Breathe" featuring at 32 minutes exactly. Sending a huge amount of love to Skydata on his remix of Hiromori Aso's "When I Come To See You", which is available for free via his SoundCloud, link for that below. Mystific's "Alone In The City" EP is out now on Fokuz Recordings, "Someone There" in conjunction with Duoscience features at the 50 minute 30 second mark. Sticking with Mystific, more specifically his label DNBB, & some forthcoming action from the brilliant Toss-T, "Up Six" ends proceedings. A few older pieces as usual, "Wish You Were Here" by the legendary High Contrast released on Hospital back in 2012, "Tell Me" by Specific came through Phunkfiction back in late 2008. "Goblin Jazz Banquet" by Random Movement was the title track of the Various Artists EP on Celsius released in Spring 2016. "Let It Show" by Critical Event & Alexvnder was part of the aptly named "Good Old Times" EP on Influenza back in 2017, and bit of a stretch for this section but still deserves a mention, Joshua's brilliant "Sometimes" went up for free download about 6 month ago, link for that below.
