04/29 JUICE 17th Anniversary IRL event with Redeyes, Kid Hops, Praderz, MC Questionmark, at Holocene
Cited as our "best show ever" April 29th, 2022 JUICE Drum and Bass celebrated our 17th Anniversary as Oregon’s longest-running DnB night with a lineup of epic proportions!
For this special birthday session—and first IRL show back in two years—we were joined (onstream + in person) by very special guest REDEYES (The North Quarter/Five Alley/France), with top notch Pacific Northwest support from Kid Hops (Hospital/C.I.A./KEXP/Seattle), and JUICE residents Praderz and MC Questionmark (PDX/LA/UK).
Not streamed, LTJ Bukem performed in person at the club.
This night delivered long-needed, world-class deep soulful drum and bass from start to finish!

With so much great music to play across genres, we've been getting into starting our Sunday InBetween Sessions earlier with an hour or two of jazz, soul, r&b, funk, rare grooves, and lofi before getting into the DnB! Chemynne plays some sweet cuts for 90 minutes, then tbone steps up for 2 hours, followed by chemynne for 2 more hours...4 hours of new DnB tunes and soulful vibes from start to finish. 'Build,' the debut album from You Us We Them is deep, chaotic, and unapologetically beautiful. It is a relaxed but intricate collage of intimate and organic textures, contrasted by expansive reverbs, and futuristic soundscapes.
The album begins with the intimate introduction 'Sol,' a short, ambient poem that feels like a snapshot of laughing in the sun. Siren rolls gently in with chill lofi beats and swells of emotive synths. 'Build' enters a darker, mystical space adding cinematic elements and a slow, dramatic crescendo that sounds like a reconstruction of the mind. Finally, 'Luna (End Is The Beginning)' plunges deep into an ocean of ambience before rising suddenly into a tidal wave of powerful drums and glittering arpeggios. Put on your headphones... and DIVE.
