The 21-year-old singer-songwriter Oscar Blue released this track in 2018. Growing up influenced by artists like Damien Dempsey, but also modern indie-pop artists like Kodaline and Ben Howard, Oscar achieved a beautiful style on his own, slightly remembering me of Josh Ezra’s rough vocals that he combined with happy, slow melodies, that sometimes erupt like a volcano and make his songs so precious and unique.

Behind The Track:
‘Wild Pine’ is an ode to his grandfather who passed away around the time the song was written.On a cold winter's night in June 2020, while playing around with the exact finger picking riff, Rod’s mother called, revealing his grandfather was terribly sick. Right after, he naturally picked up the guitar and started singing 'Hold on one more night’. He drove hours to see him the next day. The title is a reference to his grandfather’s home. A short audio recording of his voice is in the song.
