A.M.C finally returns to his own Titan imprint and he’s wielding his heaviest weaponry. It all began with his uncle’s donated crates of early jungle records, now Hospital’s infamous young-gun Unglued serves up his own instalment of dancefloor warfare. ‘Born In ‘94’ is his homage to the golden era and is certain to pack in a crowd with its serious sub-bass and summer festival feel, topped with the legendary vocals of MC Conrad from a classic ‘93 tape pack.

It’s matched up with B-side ‘Malware’, a collaboration with Neosignal head-honcho Phace, born out of Unglued’s visit to Hamburg. A swarm of industrial synths meet a gritty bassline to tunnel a path of tear-out techy D+B savagery.

Having amassed huge support from his earlier productions including his monumental remix of High Contrast’s ‘If We Ever’, Unglued continues to go strength to strength with back to back bookings every weekend across the globe. NHS400 sees the celebration of Hospital Records’ 400th release since the opening of its doors back in 1996. It’s no surprise that such a huge milestone is supported by an impeccable selection of tracks with unique collaborations that span across the Hospital family. You’ll find brand new collaborations from S.P.Y x London Elektricity with Liane Caroll, Bop x Subwave x Degs, Makoto x Urbandawn with MC Conrad, Whiney x Mitekiss with Ruth Royall, Fred V x Logistics and Keeno x Polaris. With NHS400 marking a seminal milestone in the Hospital Records catalogue, what better way to celebrate the talent that constantly propels the label forward than with a special six-track EP to explore the ever-developing sounds of the label’s roster.

Hospital head-honcho London Elektricity teams up with fellow long-time comrade S.P.Y on ‘Find Another Fool’ featuring the award-winning jazz vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Liane Carroll, who is no stranger to adding her flair to drum & bass with her rich history at the label and her involvement on countless Hospital Records classics. The introduction will have your hairs standing on end as S.P.Y’s signature reese bass comes tearing in underneath eerie plucks and Liane’s dynamic vocal range.

Russian-based, minimalistic beat smiths Bop x Subwave join forces with one of the most distinct voices in drum & bass on ‘The Shade’. Degs uses the delicately crafted canvas from Bop x Subwave to convey his eternally important message of continuing to spread love and kindness despite the racial injustices and discrimination he’s faced. A remarkable collaboration with an indispensable meaning.

Makoto and Urbandawn roll back to the 90s with ‘Magic Eyes’ featuring the vocals of MC Conrad, a leading figure within drum & bass and a true pioneer of MC culture. Expect a euphoric hands-in-the-air piano breakdown that sets the tone before Urbandawn’s grizzly bass work drives the track into full-throttle energy mode.

‘Broken Bones (feat. Ruth Royall)’ sees the debut collaboration of Whiney and Mitekiss. They offer their majestic take on drum & bass with spacious synth pads, sublime saxophone riffs and the soulful vocals of Ruth Royall, all meticulously blended together into a solemn liquid roller.

Seeing through another first-time collaboration on the NHS400 project, Fred V and Logistics take no prisoners on ‘You Keep Me High’ which sees the combination of both Hospital stalwart’s styles infuse into a gritty banger drenched in warping bass wobbles and scorching drums.

Bringing things to a close, ‘Leviathan’ is the epic by product from former Med School maestros Keeno and Polaris. Historic choral melodies are beautifully juxtapos

Etherwood proudly unveils his outstanding third studio album ‘In Stillness’. Forged deep in the Nordic wilderness, this 15 track LP sees an exceptional producer return at the very top of his game.

By finding solace in Finnish solitude Etherwood has undoubtedly created his finest body of work. Featuring singles ‘Fire Lit Sky’ and ‘Bear’s Breeches’, the album is a pensive and raw tale filled with honest lyrics and moving music. ‘Lay Your Armour Down’ is a stunning sensation of vocal chops and distinguished breakbeat as well as ‘Frozen Grass’, that brings a wave of warmth with gentle keys and soothing songwriting.

The tranquil and mysterious Finnish wilderness coupled with total isolation fuelled his inspiration. It was through this detachment that he was truly free to pursue his art in the purest form. As is portrayed through the words of Etherwood’s favourite scholar Arthur Schopenhauer.

Title track, ‘Flawless’ takes a trip through a daydream state, following through with the funk fusions of ‘Past-Time Cruiser’ before dropping into ‘Harder Than Sox’ for some relentless percussive pull-ins.

Having begun producing from the mere age of fourteen, its unsurprising Electrosoul System has already had a successful string of releases on a number of well established drum & bass imprints, alongside running his own label KOS.MOS.MUSIC.

Also remembered for his prominent appearance in Hospital Record’s ‘The Future Sound of Russia’ compilation back in 2009, whilst fast-forwarding to 2015 Electrosoul System featured on Sunchase’s “Thing” – a firm favourite from the stunning ‘The Truth’ EP.

Impressing once more with this fine contribution to the Med School catalogue, ‘Flawless’ is set to excite the ears and open the eyes of Med School and KOS.MOS fans alike.

Picking up from where he left off, the microfunk dub-techno, junglist polymath that is Bop has dished out four new tracks for the 2nd volume of his ‘Untitled Pattern’ EP series. Where the Russian enigma’s unmistakable production moves towards the dancefloor more so than ever before.

The glitchy 8-bit stepper ‘Untitled Pattern 61’ lays the foundation of this EP giving a launchpad for the intrepid sounds we’ve come to expect from Bop.

The sub heavy, deep, rolling sound of 'Untitled Pattern 56' strikes with precise force for the definitive sound-system weapon. Distinctive stabs whip through the mix and a choppy shaker wraps this pattern up in a delightfully techy bow. Producers, take note.

‘Untitled Pattern 60’ keeps it raw and 4x4 as an energetic footwork hybrid that’s bouncy, fast and fun. After his extended voyage Bop touches down on terra-firma (for now at least) with ‘Untitled Pattern 48’. Expect a delirious euphoria to be induced by this lo-fi spaced out techno creation.

‘Ten Years of Med School’ celebrates the plethora of talent to have emerged over the past decade showcasing snapshots of the imprint’s most memorable releases alongside hints of an even brighter future. Originally the understated sister label of Hospital Records, Med School is now a standalone soldier playing a significant role in electronic music, scouring every hidden corner of drum & bass and beyond.

The release showcases 18 brand new and exclusive tracks, including some stunning remixes of the label’s finest moments. Ivy Lab lead Etherwood’s uplifting ‘We’re Nothing Without Love’ down a more ominous path while Kimyan Law strips down Royalston’s drum crazy ‘Jungle Gone Down’. Frederic Robinson injects a cloud-like bounce into Keeno’s ‘Nocturne’ and Bop gives ‘Pray’ by The Erised a stunning 170bpm rework.

The album also features a host of new creations and collaborations. Etherwood and Royalston prove that opposites attract on ‘Eyes On Me’ which brilliantly combines subtle, soulful overtones with a dark, metallic allure. Newest Med School recruit Whiney presents the deep, melancholic magic of ‘Nightfall’ while label veteran Lung returns with the energetic ‘To Infinity & Be Gone’. There are also fresh contributions from the roster’s past, present and future, including works from Anile, Rawtekk, G.H.O.S.T, Blu Mar Ten, Joe Syntax, Electrosoul System, Sunchase and more.

The ten year celebrations don’t end there as Etherwood rediscovers some back catalogue highlights and blends with the album’s new material in a continuous DJ mix of 100% Med School music.
