40 Songs re-recorded by us. Re-imagined by you. #U2SOS40
Songs Of Surrender. Out Now: http://u2.lnk.to/SOS
As a director, Dylan’s friendships with musicians inspire the worlds he builds for them. Memorable songs are made truly timeless by his visual companion that distills a moment in that artist’s journey. Loving the music enough to become it’s disciple is the foremost prerequisite. He puts the most underground artists on billboards for the world to see their potential too. Dylan even got to work with his all time favourite artist, finishing off Young Thug’s latest album roll out with a viral commercial teasing unreleased songs in a Lyft ride. Dylan’s portfolio demonstrates taste & ambition, regardless of scale— the same eye for exactness balanced by spontaneity.
"For Red Hill Mining Town, I imagined the effect a worker’s movement had to have on Bono in 1984 for him to write this classic rock ballad. There’s times when a common sentiment boils to the surface, capturing a tangible feeling on the tip of everyone’s tongue. That’s when we as artists feel the most urgency to use our skills. Making the parallel between what the song is actually about and the status of labor relations with freight workers was the aha moment. Highlighting the overlooked & underappreciated backbone of our country made me realize why there will always be a need for songs like Red Hill Mining Town. "
"As we looked for places to shoot, I went down a rabbit hole discovering the history of Cajon Pass— the first freight line across the San Bernardino Mountains. Shooting these landmarks, we met conductors, engineers & maintenance crew with a combined tenure over 65 years who validated the reason we were out there. Simply seeking their right to organize, our government's failure to address concerns grimly foreshadowed a train derailment which might have become one of the worst ecological disasters in a century."
"I distinctly remember showing my dad City of Blinding Lights on my blue iPod mini and hearing about the U2 concert my parents went to in Seattle some 10 odd years earlier. Needless to say they’re stoked about this one."

Artist Bio:
High school is a time for firsts: first moment behind the wheel, first taste of freedom, first experience of love. Though not far removed from those days, 19-year old El Paso, TX singer-songwriter Khalid revisits this seminal time on his full-length debut album, American Teen [Right Hand Music Group/RCA Records].
On the eve of his own graduation, Khalid created a bona fide hit with his breakout single “Location.” It generated over 26.5 million Spotify streams and 4 million YouTube views, received acclaim from Nylon, Pigeons & Planes, Earmilk, DJ Booth, and more, and figured prominently in Snapchat stories from Kylie Jenner, P. Diddy, and Rita Ora.
With Khalid's mom serving in the military, he spent most of his childhood moving from place to place. With his mother’s passion for music as a foundation, Khalid built his own sound cultivated by his unique travel and cultural experiences. American Teen and his "Location" Tour sets the next chapter of this journey in motion.

?Easy Tips for Deep Focus:
1. Eat wisely: Consume a balanced meal that provides enough energy for a deep work session, but not so much that it causes sleepiness.
2. Practice short meditation: A brief meditation session can help regulate emotions and enhance focus.
3. Design a distraction-free workspace: Ensure the work environment is as comfortable and distraction-free as possible. Keep the phone out of reach; using apps like Forest can help maintain focus by planting virtual trees.
4. Organize tasks strategically: Plan tasks from easy to difficult, and ensure goals are achievable within one deep work session. This helps smoothly transition into deep work mode without anxiety.
5. Use a dedicated browser: Set up a specific browser for work purposes (such as Safari for research and Chrome for entertainment) to signal to the subconscious mind that it’s time to focus.

✏️ Lyrics
2 years and a couple missed calls
In a new city with a couple new walls
And some new friends, they don’t know who you are but
I like ‘em better anyway
‘Cause they
Don’t stress when I’m havin some fun
And they don’t guess if feeling undone
Though I can’t sleep, now I wonder if I
I like it better, like it better
We’ve been so unattached that I
Think I need to connect ‘cause
Can’t fall asleep alone
I think I still need you on the phone
Yeah I can’t fall asleep alone
And I just miss the way you’d call
And I hate the way we left it
Pretending, being selfish
But you know I can not help it
‘Cause I’m not the best with health but
I still need you on the phone
‘Cause I can’t fall asleep alone
Oh god just a second
Think I might a slept in
I’m the one who made this bed, I gotta rep it
Ain’t no rest for the wicked or the selfish
But maybe there’s another way
To say
That I liked who I was when I called you
Ain’t a thing that it’s called but fall through
Got a couple nights and they are all for you
We’ve been so unattached that I
Think I need to connect ‘cause I
Can’t fall asleep alone
(No I can’t)
I think I still need you on the phone
(I still need you on my phone)
Can’t fall asleep alone
(I can’t)
And I just miss the way you’d call
(Oh yeah)
And I hate the way we left it
Pretending, being selfish
But you know I can not help it
‘Cause I’m not the best with health but
I still need you on the phone
‘Cause I can’t fall asleep alone
Can’t fall asleep alone
Still need you on the phone
Can’t fall asleep alone
Just miss the way you’d call

Skankandbass is dedicated towards the official promotion of record labels and artists in the world of drum & bass music. Since inception in 2009, Skankandbass has unearthed some of the freshest talents in the scene and has opened many doors for unsigned artists. Now, through Skankandbass Records we release a series of free download singles which aims to further help spread the work of the best unsigned, newcomer artists who deserve more recognition.
As drum & bass becomes an increasingly more global scene, we’re lucky to be in a position to shine a light on very deserving young talent from around the world. Our latest release is no different, coming to us all the way from Australia, from Sydney based talent Keegan Panetta aka Brainwork. His fresh but mature sound design caught our attention last year on his debut solo release on Differential, and is on full display on ‘SNB053: Vitality / Spheres’.
