Riddim track...this one the definition of stripped back & simple but effective. Production levels have to be seriously on point to pull a track like this off & Joely nails it on this. Just one track from a wicked 6 Track EP on Liondub Street Series entitled 'Badman EP'. As soon as we heard this track 'B-Line' it was straight in the Yes yes pile . “On The Dial is my take on the Jungle music I grew up listening to on Manchester pirate radio stations in the nineties. The two main pirates that played Jungle are referenced directly in two of the tracks: Buzz FM and Luv NRG. The tracks reference styles I’ve picked up from some of my favourite producers growing up: Danny Breaks, Krust, Die, Sappo, L Double, etc. Rig Doctor is more Old Skool using a sample referencing the guy who would fix up the technicals in running a pirate and styled by early Hardcore Jungle Techno. The whole EP is essentially a love letter to one of the first genres I fell in love with on the format I really learned about it on.” - Chimpo.

Very early into the concept of Breathe & Bass and during the early part of the first lockdown, we made a friend and her name is PYXIS.. we got to know each other over a mutual love of Drum & Bass - amazing producer that she is - and a passion for supporting Mental Health Awareness through music. She has been a huge influence and source of support throughout and we are proud to call her one of the integral Breathe & Bass team.. she will be providing us with a new mix journey in her unique style very soon!
Having been within the Drum & Bass scene for years, PYXIS had the idea of creating HEADSBASS: BEATS IN MIND and a wellbeing collective army of 130 producers as a platform to release a hugely successful series of compilation volumes where ALL PROCEEDS have gone directly to Mental Health Charities and the total stands at over £3000!
We are absolutely honoured to have been given the EXCLUSIVE DOCUMENTARY & MIX showcasing the tracks which are being released over the coming weeks. Within the video are personal stories and reasons why these amazing producers want to be involved. We were very touched by the bravery shown in talking about personal struggles.
