The A+R division has examined every strand of drum & bass DNA, selecting a flawless formula of boundary pushing artists who are set to be key players in the progression of the genre.
The 17-track LP offers a true international perspective of the genre with producers from Ukraine, Italy, Australia, Japan, Canada, Estonia, Russia and the UK showcasing a myriad of influences, club nights and collectives that are vital in keeping the D+B bloodline pumping all over the world.
Former 'New Blood' graduates include Etherwood, Synkro, Enei, Hospital Records' Urbandawn, Med School’s most recent signing Frederic Robinson and many more since the series' creation in 2010.

Fresh from his classified adventures through time and space, the production wizard, head-banger, dog lover and all round cosmonaut known as Bop has returned.
His newly inspired ‘Untitled Patterns’ EP series brings a harmonic fusion of ambient, techno, and jungle stylings together with cyber-mechanical precision and flair. Evolving his trademark Microfunk movement with a newfound innovation, Bop continues bend and the drum & bass paradigm.
Each telling a different chapter in Bop's cosmic voyage - 'Untitled Pattern 52' sees deep and emotive soundscapes bolstered to the rhythm of a dub and techno beat. The additional tale of 'Untitled Pattern 51' is a jungle and footwork hybrid; one with skittering amen drums, marching to a regimented clap in a glorious fusion of classic and contemporary.
'Untitled Pattern 54' welcomes a bouncy techno turn to his journey, this 4x4 rendition cements Bop as one of the most exciting producers on the circuit. Finished up with the tripped out ambient piece 'Untitled Pattern 55'.
Landing safely back on Earth, the first of three ‘Untitled Patterns’ EPs is now primed and ready for our earthly ears. Lightyears ahead of its time, the forward facing and explorative nature of Bop’s production is a testament to the united philosophy shared by the artist and Med School Music.

Frederic Robinson’s an enigma of the dance music world, blending jazz, world music and modern classical into his own interpretation of drum & bass. In 2016 he presented the incredibly inventive ‘Flea Waltz’ LP, which has lead to him taking his imaginative live show all over the world.
His live set-up gives the freedom to experiment with every performance, meaning no two are quite the same. It was in Prague’s prestigious Palác Akropolis that his latest live transformation was captured with Lily Juniper's angelic vocal performance making the perfect accompaniment to Robinson’s ethereal beats. Now recorded as the five-track 'Live In Prague' EP including four recreated album tracks plus one of his newest creations ‘Trickle’.
Catch Frederic Robinson this summer at drum & bass hotspots Let It Roll and Hospitality In The Park, as well as Austria's Audioriver Festival and Tauron Nowa Muzyka Festival in Poland.

Released in 2008. "Sir Gordon Jumpmeister III" opens with a crunchy digital pulse and quivering filtered pads before plasticising into a squelching hybrid step-off, containing all the robotic nuances we've come to expect from a Martsman piece. Such is the genius of this track, it can be simultaneously perceived as a half-tempo stomper or a full on d&b rinse out.

Emerging from the shadows are the thrills and chills of Royalston’s new album the “People on the Ground” LP out 30th October on Med School – the experimental sister label of drum & bass empire Hospital Records. For his second album, Sydney-based DJ and producer has ripped apart the rulebook with fifteen eccentric and exciting electronic tracks.
The “People on the Ground” LP explores through the obscure yet brilliant sounds of one of Sydney’s most talented exports for a haunting and hypnotic take on drum & bass. Title track features the captivating vocals of Hannah Joy and moves through melodic, piano foundations before catapulting into a euphoric whirlwind of sounds and styles making way for mania to come.
There are the sudden, schizophrenic switch-ups of “Give Me the World” and “I Saw the Face of a Person” that highlight Royalston's unpredictable style. His game of guesswork keeps things exciting and exhilarating throughout with influences of techno, house and trance all enticingly tangled into dirty drums and deep bass. “The Wrath of Mr Sparkles” and “Don’t Give Me Up” are not to be taken lightly, unrelenting and unrestricted to any musical parameters.
Royalston has also enlisted a number of artists to join in the fun and games. Welcoming back Victoria, from pop group MA, cousin and fellow drum & bass producer Pearse Hawkins, Sydney-based singer Emily Harkness and emerging UK hip-hop artist Lyflyk.
When he’s not writing drum & bass Royalston pursues his other passion of illustration, which he’s made full use of in this project, with the intricate detail in his music replicated in the artwork he solely designed.
The “People on the Ground” LP accelerates Royalston from his previous album “OCD”, whilst keeping to his unorthodox approach to production mashing and merging genres into one crazed counterpart.

‘What We Were Told’ ft ‘Amy Kisnorb’ is your staple drum & bass roller, in overdrive. It’s a twofold bass attack featuring wobbles and growls balanced with Amy’s angelic vocals. Title track ‘Popular Mechanics’ is everything we love about Royalston. A trio of transformation; beginning gently with an uplifting melody which morphs into deeper techier terrain then reaching its climax with a finale of mind warping bass crunches.
Taking things back, Royalston explores a more traditional landscape in the form of ‘Strobes’. With customarily blissful vocals, this track is vintage Med School.
