In July of 2022, Meir Briskman approached Mita Gami with a vision to create and produce a live orchestral symphonic set. After touring the show with a professional orchestra, the duo decided to bring the show to Burning Man. This ambitious project required countless hours of coordination to bring to life in the unique setting of the Nevada desert.

"Our search to find classically trained players that were going to Burning Man began through posting via our instagram stories. The message rapidly spread, and we received an overwhelming number of responses.

Despite the limited rehearsal time, we embraced the challenge and turned our dream into a magical reality, delivering a complex performance that flowed effortlessly.

Thank you to everyone who believed in this project, especially the players, we could not have done it without you. A very special shoutout to Amal for managing this vision from start to finish, Alyce our concertmaster, Tal for always making things happen and Pablo along with the MW audio/build team for giving us the platform to share our story. We’re still floating on cloud nine, finding it nearly impossible to come back down after such a beautiful and intense experience. Playing on the Mayan Warrior this year surpassed anything we could have imagined—it was pure magic.

Burning Man is a testament to the boundless creativity and adaptability of humanity, where together we push limits and create unforgettable memories. This year, we truly lived a dream, a moment etched in our hearts forever.

"Opening the new Mayan Warrior art car felt like a surreal dream – but it was real. My body was playing the notes, my friend Morlin beside me. I felt the vibration of the vehicle and heard the mighty sound from the stacks. I gazed out over the vast desert, and when I looked back, I was awestruck by the massive light sculptures. Around me, I felt countless souls – dancing, listening, feeling, creating, connecting. Even weeks later, the echoes of this moment are still with me.
