Route 94’s latest musical offering ‘Close’ illustrates his dedication to his craft and ever-evolving style. Following huge commercial success with records such as ‘My Love’ (featuring Jess Glynne) and underground anthem ‘House & Pressure’ on Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations, this new three-track EP shows Route 94 returning to his club roots by exploring minimalist influences. Steeped in dark, bass-led energy, the triptych of melodic and atmospheric cuts makes a blissful re-introduction to Route 94’s sound. Opening the release with the rolling title track ‘Close’, it transitions into the hazier ‘Harder’ with its rubbery, squelching bassline, finally the intergalactic goodness of ‘Feels’ rounds off the release. The otherworldly sounds of this sublime EP illustrate the emotive powers of carefully crafted club records, with all three tracks on this EP destined to do far more than just fill the floor.

Lyrics:
You left
For a second I forget
For a second I can feel again
You’re gone
Had a dream of moving on
When I woke up I was here again

Cos I can’t unbreak my heart
Untake your love away
No I can’t unmess me up
I need to feel the pain

Yeah I just wanna dance to sad songs
Sad songs tonight
With diamonds in my eyes
Sad songs all night

Yeah I just wanna dance to sad songs
Sad songs tonight
With diamonds in my eyes
Sad songs tonight
Yeah I just wanna dance to sad songs

In my mind
Endless echoes of goodbye
Words I never thought I’d hear you say
I try to imagine that I’m fine
But I know I’ll never be the same

This one was made way back in 2009, using some basic tech but thought I'd upload it.

*VOTING NOW CLOSED*

Just a quick video I did for my king of the web campaign. Currently your voting is really helping, I'm first place at the moment and if this keeps up I'll be getting $1000 to put towards my piano.
http://kingofweb.com/users/ramesesb

As you can see in this video, i'm using a MIDI keyboard, hopefully the next one I upload will have me playing a real digital piano with a proper sound and feel (which is why this recording feels a bit flat but oh well it's all just fun)

Thanks for supporting!

PS. If you use your votes up for the other categories you will have an extra 10 to use on me :)

'Cosmonauts' is a 9-track concept album about coming together through the hard times when you feel most alone and pushing each other to achieve things you couldn't otherwise do individually. When you reach it, you'll feel a grand sense of euphoria.

(2008 Production) This was a University project in Year 1. We called ourselves "Prospekt".

We recorded our own videos and I myself edited the videos and put it together along with producing the song.

Being an audio project we had to add instruments so other members of the group played the guitars for the track. We only got a 2.1 for it =(

PS. The video is a bit offset on this upload I don't know why but it cuts off the edges..
