I have a few darker tunes in my library that I have wanted to play recently but haven’t really fit into any of my other mixes so thought it best to put a whole set together of them. Definitely not my usual liquid tunes so I suppose the title is a little misleading but what you gonna do, eh? It’s been a busy few weeks of Christmas parties and Christmas Day itself so I just about managed to squeeze this one in. I’ll be looking to review my favourite tracks from the year in the next few weeks too so stay tuned!

Here’s volume 7 coming in hot, just in time for a few days away with the family. Despite the title not all tracks have vocals but a great many do so I’m going with it. As always I try to play more recent tracks that I have been listening to lately, but also drop a few older classics because I just can’t help myself :) Hope you like it!

Well it’s that time of year again when the fam pack up the car and bolt on down to Cornwall for what looks like some truly bang average weather. To add to the toil of taking a 3 and a half year old and 19 month old on a 4 hour car journey, I thought I would break up the inevitable 2 and a half hours of Frozen & Moana soundtracks with an hour and a half of sunshine filled “Daddy music”.

I thought I would do some straight up feel good drum and bass this week. I love liquid but sometimes you just have to get up and dance around the living room/workplace/club like nobodies watching. I was inspired by the 25 year anniversary remix on Original Nuttah. I remember when the original came out, I was just getting into drum and bass at the time, and when this dropped it was a game changer. Combine that with Incredible with General Levy and Super Sharp Shooter (amongst others) the following year and I was a convert, seen raving at the back of the Que Club in Birmingham for the next few years. Anyone who wasn’t lucky enough to ever go to the Que Club - all I can say is, they don’t make them like that anymore. Anyway, I digress, sorry to the hardcore Liquid fans, I’ll be back in my lane next time :)
