Drum And Base
This liquid drum & bass mix is a roundup of a lot of my favorite pieces released throughout 2017. Leading the way with Dawn Wall's "Lemon Dogs", "Foxley" by Northern Zone teases on the drop, with Alex SLK's remix of Gyroscope creeping in the backdrop, Seathasky's heart warmer "Geo's Tune" steps up on the 4th wheel just before a minute and a half, with Evo Evolver's "It's Not What It Seems" and Alexvnder's "Glacial" both slamming down simultaneously, paving the way for Silence Groove's savage remix of "Holding On To You" by Critical Event rolling in just before 3 mins. Seba's collaborations with Jnr Vallo brought us some absolute gold, "Rotate" and "Second Path" both feature. Rafau Etamski also made magic happen throughout this year, "Feel Me" and "Jealousy" are also included. A "best of" mix isn't complete without a bit of Mojoman, his "The Nature" EP is incredible, as was "Blue Drone In Nymbo". 2017 has been a phenomenal year for drum and bass. Bring on 2018!

Starting off this liquid drum & bass mix with a beautiful piece from Fullalove called Daybreak, out now on Influenza Recordings, rolling into a new double release from Henry on Default Recordings, "Night Sky" & "False Dawn" both feature. Sticking with the topic, Joshua & Echo Motion's new "Night Sky" EP is out now on Celsius Recordings, all tracks feature. There's also an additional solo piece from Joshua at the end there, "Sometimes" is a free download which is available over on his Soundcloud, link for that below. On the topic of free downloads, "Dreams" by Hyperlynx & Fran Young is a beautiful piece which dropped last Friday, link for that below. A new piece from Leniz up on Goldfat up next, "Reverie" is taken from his new double release. A brand new EP from Skydata is out today on Nu Venture Records, the title track "Sunrise" features. Twintone posted a sensational remix of "Make Your Way" by Tsugishi a couple of days ago, a beautiful piece which is available for free, link for that below. Kin:etic's "Changes" EP dropped recently over on SINE Audio, "Closer" features just before 36 & a half minutes. A new EP forthcoming from D-Flect too, "Petrichor" is part of a massive extended player which is dropping next Friday & a couple of older pieces in here as per usual. Mutt's "Let's Get Away" was part of a self released EP called "My Old Hard Drive" back in 2009 & Scott Allen's "Inner Beauty" is the title track of his classic EP on Celsius back in 2012.

Starting off this liquid drum & bass mix with the sensational "No Turning Back" by the legendary Alexvnder, available now on Glitch Audio. Low:r's stunning "New Hope" takes second spot. Rafau Etamski is back with an incredible piece available now on C Recordings, "Losing My Mind" features just before 5 minutes. Nelver has been working wonders recently, his new single "Standing Alone" was released last Monday on SLK Records. Fokuz Recordings released the Critical Event & Friends EP just over a fortnight ago, the brilliant "Incomplete" featuring Askel features just before the 45 minute mark. The legendary Embers of Light recently celebrated reaching 2000 followers on Soundcloud and as a token of appreciation gifted us all with the amazing "Feel" which I'll post the link for below, definitely go show your support! On the topic of free downloads, Mister.e's "Sepia" is also available for absolutely free! Link for that below also. Rift is back at us with another truly outstanding offering in the form of a double release on Boey Audio, "Falling" features just after 21 minutes. A few older ones in here as usual, the LP title track "City Soul" by Hugh Hardie & Silence Groove hit our shelves back in 2016 via Hospital. The Calibre remix of "Forward Thinking" by Satl was released about a year ago now on it's orignal label Fokuz. "Maybe I Was Wrong" by the mighty London Elektricity first graced our ears over a decade ago back in 2008, and the wildcard feature once again is "Strange Science" by Phace, released on Shogun Audio back in 2010.

Coming in midweek with a seriously thick liquid drum & bass selection. Kicking off with "Winter's Touch" by Monrroe. Dawn Wall on the follow up, the gorgeous "Shy" rolls in just before 1 minute 50. The sensational Mojoman has been doing some incredible work lately, having recently released a truly stunning track alongside Veela & Miyoki called "Crystal Clear", a day later he released a another free download, "Dabbling Dream" is available on his bandcamp right now (link below). Coming out of the blue with another fresh liquid drum & bass selection. Kicking off in a halfstep kind of fashion with Jengha's wonderful bootleg of "Take The Lead" by Halogenix & Zoe Klinck. The badman FD is back with a bang, "Serious" is exactly that, another absolute cracker from that man. Klute's new EP is a gift from the gods, this mix features the sensational "Soul Boy". "Faces" by Linear slides into the third spot of this mix, cheekily followed up by the brilliant "Circumspect" by Dilemma, both of those are up for free download right now. "Unfold" by Zazu is a couple of months old now, seems as though I completely missed that release so included it here. The classics also make a return this week, at the tail end of the list is the timeless "Vapour Trails" by the grandfather of liquid drum & bass, the one, the only; London Elektricity, released back in 2005. Starting off this liquid drum and bass mix with an absolutely beautiful piece from friend and fellow YouTube Joshua, "Checkmate" is available over on his SoundCloud, link below, shout also going out to "Stalemate" which features at 22 and a half minutes. Rolling into a classic from Nelver, "Memories Of You" was part of the "Memories" EP on Fokuz Recordings back in March 2013. Kontrast's "It's All Good" came through Soul Flex a couple of week back, again a free download, link below, and Modu's absolutely outstanding "Flashing Gold" is once again a free download, link below. Furney shot out a truly outstanding LP titled "Night Life" over on Soul Deep Recordings, Scott Allen's label is on another level right now, both "Alone" and "Wide Open" alongside Lady EmZ feature in the mix. Staying on the topic of LP's on Soul Deep, Conspire's "Perpetual" slides in just after 41 minutes. Taking a deeper look at K2T's sensational debut album with "The Sound Of The Sea" & "Peregrination". Finishing proceedings with an unreleased beast from Alexvnder called "September". Digging deep for some classics as usual, Dillinja's infamous "Friday" under his Capone alias dropped on Hardleaders back in 1998. "Reflections" by the Ram Trilogy was released back in 2000. Zinc's "Stepping Stones" was released on Bingo back in 2004. Break's stomping VIP of "Love So True" landed on Symmetry back in 2013 and last but not least the flip side of Bambaata "Funksta", a stone cold classic from '98.

Every so often within the drum & bass industry we see artists step up the ladder and leave nothing but footprints of quality, leaving us wondering when and if they're capable of putting a foot wrong. In:Most eased their way into the scene just over 3 years ago with their "Cloudfish" EP, the following months saw a host of podcasts, a free download alongside SMRD as well as a truly stunning track called "I Can't Do" featuring on a compilation from none other than Soulvent. 3 years on and with a host of releases across some major labels such as Hospital, which saw collaborations alongside the mighty Logistics, their sister label Med School and Spearhead to name a few. Their capabilities extend well into all subgenres in the industry, namely into the dark and dangerous with the recent "Fade Out" alongside Tempza and Walk:r, and a trip into the jungle resulted in the sensational "Over The Shoulder". The quality of output we've seen already from both men leaves a path of stunning material in their wake, full bodied, passionate and brimming with soul, their work also packs the air of familiarity we've come to love from all corners of drum & bass. Starting off this liquid drum and bass mix with "Ariel" by Blakes, a brilliant single out now on Moshbit Recordings. Next up we have the obliterating "Oxford Road" by Whiney, followed by "We Got You" by Alibi, Disaszt & Zarah. Pola & Bryson are on another level at the moment and this mix features their remix of Brave by Dualistic and Ayve and also the brilliant "Delphic Underworld". Reso released an interesting EP about a month ago and I went ahead and featured a track from that called "Tiberium". "Between The Lines" by Kidsan is a brilliant free download available on Soundcloud right now, go check that out. A few older ones in here as per usual. "Streetlife" by Azhot was released in summer of last year, Naibu's classic "It Took A Long Time" was released almost 10 years ago back in 2008 and Electrosoul System's "Form Of Life" was released the following year in 2009.

Starting off this liquid drum & bass mix with the title track from Flowrian's amazing new EP, "Southern Taurids" is out now on Celsius Recordings, "May", "Melissa" and "On The Road Again" from the same EP all feature. HEFT's brilliant "Too Much" EP is out now on DNBB, "Just Leave" rolls in just before 9 minutes with the title track featuring just after 32 and a half minutes. Fishy's new "Clouds Below" EP is available now on Amphibious Audio, "Reaching In" features just before 13 minutes. Invidision recently threw down a huge 4 track EP on Ruff DnB, "Passing Low" rolls in just after 20 minutes. Tuesday saw Duksta come through Noxious Recordings with his first fully fledged release, teaming up with Ian Holmes on "Breathe" featuring at 32 minutes exactly. Sending a huge amount of love to Skydata on his remix of Hiromori Aso's "When I Come To See You", which is available for free via his SoundCloud, link for that below. Mystific's "Alone In The City" EP is out now on Fokuz Recordings, "Someone There" in conjunction with Duoscience features at the 50 minute 30 second mark. Sticking with Mystific, more specifically his label DNBB, & some forthcoming action from the brilliant Toss-T, "Up Six" ends proceedings. A few older pieces as usual, "Wish You Were Here" by the legendary High Contrast released on Hospital back in 2012, "Tell Me" by Specific came through Phunkfiction back in late 2008. "Goblin Jazz Banquet" by Random Movement was the title track of the Various Artists EP on Celsius released in Spring 2016. "Let It Show" by Critical Event & Alexvnder was part of the aptly named "Good Old Times" EP on Influenza back in 2017, and bit of a stretch for this section but still deserves a mention, Joshua's brilliant "Sometimes" went up for free download about 6 month ago, link for that below.

Starting off this liquid drum & bass mix with a beautiful piece from Joshua called "Secret", that's available for free on his Soundcloud, link below. Next up a second wave in the return of an absolute force in the scene, "Gone Away" by the mighty Colossus is also available for free on his Soundcloud, link below. In third spot is another freebie, this time from Glockwork Records in the form of the beautiful "Needing You" by SOLR. In fourth spot is an Innaself remix of "Dawn", a piece of vintage Alexvnder. BCee & Blu Mar Ten joined forces to throw down the "Grow" EP on Spearhead, "Drawn The Line" featuring Lucy Kitchen is up in fifth spot. Big love to Staytment for the amazing "Late Night Detour" which is yet another free download. Leniz recently made his Fokuz Recordings debut with the sensational "Antarctica" EP, the title track rolls in just after 49 minutes. Shoutout also to Bay 6 boss Echo Motion & K2T for their absolutely beautiful remix of Kolectiv & Becca Jane Grey's "Give Nothing", again a free download, link below. Plenty of older tracks in here as usual, Etherwood's remix of "Forest Fires" dropped on Hospital back in June 2014, the following year saw Soul:R drop "Tell Me" by Tokyo Prose. This weeks liquid drum & bass mix is full of absolute heavyweights. Starting off with the Pola & Bryson bootleg of "Close To You" by ARLE. Next up we have the absolutely sensational "Broken Element" by Modest Intentions. Mystical Sound has been on fire lately, and there's a piece of his called "She's Gone" which features right at the end of the mix. The only free track this mix has to offer features in the third spot, ALB delivering a brilliant remix of "Know You" by the legendary Bonobo. The elusive Mohican Sun's talents and expertise to deliver perfection every time show us yet another example of their godlike capabilities, "Fixation" (08:51) is an instant classic. Dvice One dropped a brilliant EP last month on Celsuis, the self titled "New Groove" (14:02), "Turning" (18:51) and "Before" (23:17) all feature at the timestamps to the right of each track title respectively. Nothing "old" as per se in this weeks mix, so straight to the tracklist it is;

This weeks liquid drum & bass mix kicks off with the brilliant "Sinner" by Revaux & Azlan, rolling alongside the outstanding "Changes" by the In:Form In:Most which switches up just after the 2 minute mark. Hoodleston released a new EP today, and the self titled track "Soul Feeling" rolls in just before 4 minutes. The ever elusive Dawn Wall also released the beastly "Twin Falls" EP a couple of days ago, I went ahead and threw every track in this mix, bar 1, "Mantis" slides in just after 5 and a half minutes, my pick of the EP "Holdin' On" features just after the quarter hour mark and "Twin Falls" makes an appearance just before 29 minutes. The mighty Command Strange also released a new EP on the same day, the self titled track "In Circles" features just before 19 minutes, and "This Night" is found right at the tail end of the mix. I've played a few tracks in the past by OW3S, and he's back again with "String For My Love" which is currently up for free download on his SoundCloud, definitely go check that out! It's been a while since Snoops made a liquid track, and he's also back with conviction, "Perfect Day" is completely free and can be found on his SoundCloud. Only one "older" track in here this week, "Shadow" by the brilliant Edlan & Emy Perez was part of the "Grids" EP released on Fokuz back in August 2016.

Starting off this liquid drum & bass mix with a sensational remix by Fearbace, he took on Fred V & Grafix's "Tension", available for free on his SoundCloud, link below. Another remix up next, this time by the wonderful Tokyo Prose, his remix of Milestone by The Vanguard Project is available on Spearhead now. Edlan's beautiful new "Ravine" EP is out now on Fokuz recordings, the title track slips in just after 4 minutes with the VIP of "Shadow" featuring Emy Perez and Blossom dropping at 18:44 & 24:59 respectively. Drum Force 1 dropped the brilliant new "Distracted" EP over on Soul Deep Recordings, "Late Nite" features at 11:46, with "Distract" and "Each Time" featuring at 21:19 & 38:25. The awesome Stiki is back again, with the amazing "After The Storm" featuring at 27:34. Marcus Tee's "The Big Smoke" is available for free now on Boey Audio, a lot to be said of those guys, they've been pumping out some gold recently. Last week I mentioned omitting one track from the new Shryne Artists EP which is available for free, that track features here, and is Alexvnder's incredible "Limbo IV". Special shout out also going to Esym who dropped the "Ethereal" EP a week ago today for free, the link for that is below also, Esym being another artist who's been putting out some brilliant material through 2018, please go show your support. A few older ones in here as per usual, Marcus Intalex's timeless "Neptune" was released on 31 Records back in 2000. Rockwell's "Underpass" made its way to us via Critical back in 2009. Clarity & Overlook's "Engineering" was part of the "Hells Gate" EP which was released on their Bandcamp back in 2014.
