After honing his craft for the last 5 years, Heamy launches onto Bad Taste with the versatile Spacetime EP. Packing in 8 interstellar tracks of precisely engineered Drum and Bass, the latest release on Bad Taste is an exciting new chapter for a producer on the rise.

At only 23 years old, the Russian based Dmitrii Mitrofanov aka Heamy has already gained a cult following in the Neurofunk scene. Drawing on influences such as Pendulum, Noisia, Spor, Camo & Krooked as well as Amon Tobin and Bonobo, Heamy’s precise yet melodic style has attracted the attention of Tamrecords, and even earned him uploads on the mighty NeurofunkGrid Youtube channel.

Now, the young producer steps up to Bad Taste with the Spacetime EP. A milestone in Heamy’s career, the Spacetime EP takes listeners on a multi faceted journey, with dancefloor smashers, atmospheric rollers and everything in between. Featuring the unstoppable juggernaut ‘Digital Mayhem’, a collaboration with Asphexia, as well as the incessant ‘Vortex’ and ‘Spacetime’, Heamy’s debut EP on Bad Taste packs in the weapons - but also features more atmospheric tracks like Little Empire. Gridlok’s mighty US-based ‘Project 51’ imprint is back, and this time delivering the goods from an unmistakably rapidly rising force in the DnB scene – the French trio ‘SIGNS’. From their inception in 2014, Signs quickly gained momentum with releases on Optiv’s ‘Red Light Recordings’, C4C Recordings and Bad Taste Recordings. 2015 is picking up the pace in an altogether more intense way, with ‘Code Talk’ and ‘Headbolt’ being the first in a series of releases scheduled for Signs on imprints ranging from Eatbrain, Pirahna Pool and some even tastier surprises yet to be announced.

‘Headbolt’ is a cheeky amorphous creature built around a hook constructed in parts both equally oldschool and future. Signs go in heavy on the micro-production here with flurries of edits swarming around the central percussive synth that ravers will treat as a beacon of the track’s innate funk. The texturally beautiful breakdown shows sensitivity towards space and form, effectively launching the track back into the ring for a 2nd energetic round of pummelling.
