The 79th release on Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital features one of Finland's finest, Mode Apart, returning to the label with two new tracks titled "Voyage" and "Ohana". The sole remix comes from Melodic House and Techno superstar Space Motion from Serbia.

Describing his music as "a unique fusion of wide and diverse electronic genres", Joonas Sandell has carved an impressive niche for himself with production work under his Mode Apart moniker. After an early dalliance with Drum and Bass and influenced by the sounds of the Prodigy, Kosheen, and Squarepusher, the Helsinki resident moved toward the Progressive House and Melodic Techno sounds that have become a staple of his work. The rapidly thriving onedotsixtwo label launches its 2020 campaign with yet another essential release, this time from the multitasking main man himself, Tripswitch, who has masterminded an incredible refreshing of his classic ‘Box Fresh’ track, having enlisted the studio skills of Emi Galván, Forerunners and Nicolas Rada, alongside him on remix duty.

“‘Box Fresh’ was a really significant track for me when it first came out on the ‘Propulsion EP’ in 2014. It was one of the first progressive tracks I wrote where I felt I’d successfully struck the right formula between my own production style, which was more rooted in epic, euphoric chillout, and an up-to-date progressive house sound.” - Tripswitch

Longstanding dance music stalwart Nick Warren inaugurates the launch of Nātiv Records with Freedom Call / Electro Shock. The two-track EP, set for release on 27th November, includes a collaboration with rising Egyptian talent, Black 8.

Speaking on the formation of the release, Nick Warren described that he was “overjoyed to have both Freedom Call and Electro Shock coming out on Nātiv Records. Freedom Call - which I wrote with Black 8 - has been massive for me in my sets for over a year. Electro Shock is my homage to early Electro records and I was honoured that Martin Buttrich agreed to mix it for me.”

Things get underway with the Freedom Call, as tribal-inspired drums converge on an iconic nineties vocal sample. Smooth pads reside alongside rhythmic key changes, before subtle kicks help move the beat along. Electro Shock finishes proceedings gracefully, as a warming piano roll accompanies staggered snare patterns and surreal, dream-like synths.

A time-honoured talent in the electronic music realm, there are few as well-versed in the art of performing than Nick Warren. A&R for the esteemed Hope Recordings, Nick’s output has spanned multiple decades in a career that has seen him support headline acts such as Massive Attack, as well as hold a residency at clubbing institution Cream. In more recent times, Nick’s keen-ear for production has landed him acclaimed releases on labels such as John Digweed’s Bedrock Records and the iconic Global Underground.

Cid Inc’s Replug Records continues a successful year by welcoming Mike Griego back to the label for a new single. The Argentinean artist and progressive music favourite highlighted 2019 with the April release of his 'Decoy' EP for the Finnish imprint. The year saw further successes with a contribution to Hernan Cattaneo's Balance Sunstrip Strip compilation, along with his well received 'Sienna' EP via Sudbeat Music. Now presenting his first original project of 2020, Mike lands back on Replug with 'Solaris' alongside a remix from Cid Inc.

In what continues to be a productive partnership, Mike delivers some of his finest work to date for Replug with 'Solaris'. Warm beats, rippling bass tones and rolling percussion set the piece in motion, as harmonic drifts and fragmented melodies encase the framework. Tranquil arps further the narrative, perfectly foreshadowing a heartfelt centrepiece highlighted by harmonic overlays and luminous tones. As the break builds, a bed of thunderous bass begins an exhilarating rise, with modulation peaking as a vocal overlay sparks a driving finale.

Returning to his esteemed imprint and providing the lone interpretation of 'Solaris' is Henri Hurtig aka Cid Inc. The Finnish artist began the year in fine style with a remix for Einmusika, before teaming up with Replug label mate Orsen for a superb rendition of DJ Zombi's 'Octopus'. Perhaps sitting as 2020's highlight however was the March release Henri's 'Citadel' EP. Also coming courtesy of Replug, the two-track offering enjoyed an extended stay in Beatport's Progressive House charts, while receiving play from Guy J and Hernan Cattaneo. Now following a remix of D-Nox & Beckers 'Bitter Rain', Cid Inc returns to Replug with a thrilling take on 'Solaris'. Electrically charged with thumping kicks and a tighter take on the groove, it’s energetic prowess beams brightly. Binding rhythmic flow with reprocessed vocals and dreamy arps makes for a sleek yet commanding first act. Colourful overlays heighten the senses as pixie-like melodies fades in and out of coherence leading into the break. Grandiose and soothing in equal measure, glowing tones highlight the centrepiece, elevating mode before getting washed away as the groove gallops towards a stirring final movement.

With ‘Solaris’ Mike Griego has added another important piece to his resume, one which gets 2020 off to a great start and continues his fruitful relationship with Cid Inc’s Replug Records.

Compiled by label boss Juan Pablo Torrez, Clubsonica Records presents the much anticipated 2020 edition of their ADE Sampler, with new music from (in order of appearance) Brian Muszkat, Mariano Favre, Mental Order and Tim Othy, Stae and Wabe.

Rounding out the release on a strong note are the Italian duo WABE. Alessandro Marfia and Giancarlo La Barbera aka WABE grew up in Palermo, Sicily, learning the art of song writing while playing in local bands before eventually studying electronic music production and composition. Upon forming WABE, the duo went on to showcase their music on Aletheia Recordings, Freegrant Music and ZEHN Records. Now bringing their melodic sound to Clubsonica the duo put a bookend on the Sampler with 'Across the Border'. Boisterous and commanding, its momentum grows as punishing beats, astral arps and growling synths set the stage for a motif of soulful strums. Shifting the narrative, the framework then opens up for the theme to breathe and emotional response to rise, before a pensive break puts a cap on this musical gem. Tastefully epic, it concludes a brilliant ADE Sampler from Clubsonica Records, one where a plethora of label debutants provides a series of peak time moments.

Riding a remarkable wave of global acclaim off the back of his recent Cercle performance from Jaisalmer Fort in Rajasthan, India, internationally celebrated German artist Innellea now looks to continue his stellar run of 2021 form as he unveils his next majestic musical opus, It’s Us.

Due for worldwide release on Friday, April 16, this breathtakingly original three-part offering is everything we’ve come to expect and more from the in-form producer, who arrives armed with a career catalogue of critically acclaimed releases on the likes of Afterlife, Innervisions, Diynamic and TAU, to name a few.

Inaugurating the package with the entrancing title track It’s Us, Innellea makes his intentions known the off, delivering a sophisticated blend of expansive synth leads, intricate polyrhythms and intermittent vocal drops, all brought together underneath a veil of deep, luscious sub-bass. Dropped as the sensational closer from his aforementioned live performance in Rajasthan back in March, this delectable slice of captivating breakbeat euphoria exudes attitude and raw emotion across its duration and speaks volumes of a producer at the very top of his game.

Offering another nod to the stunning locale of his recent Cercle collaboration, Innellea’s second offering, Golden Fort, sees the German producer return to his four-to-the-floor roots for the middle order of the EP, as he delivers a haunting house cut, tempered by evocative melodies and cinematic analogue experimentation. Exploring an altogether different timbre to the warm broken beats and ecstatic peaks of his blockbuster opener, Innellea’s imagination and creative flair continue to shine through for all to enjoy.

Extending the sub-continental motif across the entirety of the package, the EP is brought to a close with the exquisite finale, Haveli. An ethereal six-and-a-half minute anthem replete with hypnotic vocal soundscapes, organic percussion and frenetic, undulating riffs, Innellea’s nuanced treatment of dissonance and abstract textures converge in perfect accord to conclude yet another extraordinary release from the Munich-based prodigy.

Taking the scene by storm in 2019, leaving a dusty cloud in his wake, Innellea was initially a secret weapon for some of the techno scene’s leading DJs, before his music was officially released on the likes of Afterlife, Innervisions and Diynamic. From then on, Innellea’s colourful and intricate rhythms have captivated crowds worldwide, with tracks like Vigilans, Forced to Bend and The World Returns providing perfect examples of the bold musical statements that define his project.

From the success of these releases soon came a slew of captivating live sets and a wealth of unreleased tracks, amalgamating to create considerable global hype around his name.
