Release Info:
Fresh off their remix of Lautaro Fernandez’s “How She Looked”, which was featured in Beatport’s top 100 progressive house tracks, duo Wolf Ear & Fassbender return to home turf with their first joint venture on Strange Town Recordings, Hummingbird. Drawing inspiration from the natural realm, the pair combines a dynamic lead synth to bird chirps throughout the track, connecting man to his environment. This is most notable during the buildup, which sees the multiple melodic layers tying the piece together into a subtle drop.

Making his Strange Town debut, Arnas D focuses on an enticing repeating melody to give his take on the track. The Lithuanian producer spreads the original lead across the song instead of making the focal point, as well as sprinkling it with varied sound textures, ranging from sparse percussion's to human breaths.

Rounding up the EP, Hannes Wiehager delivers an eerie take to the record. Whether it be the acid inspired sweeps or the energetic bassline, the energy is taken up a notch by the Swedish DJ and producer, all the while staying faithful to the original soundscape.
