As I knew I could never do this year a true service on my own, I asked Johnny B (https://www.youtube.com/user/Johnnbmixing) if he could help me out and serve up some of his favourites too as he's up there with one of the most complete and diverse track list collaters you'll hear on Youtube or Mixcloud.

My shortlist started with around 120 tracks so it was a little overwhelming if I'm honest but as soon as I reached out to Johnny, he sent back his list of favourites that made my head spin. We both agree that we have left so many amazing tracks off but sometimes for the sake of flow, it has to be done - that's the issue with 'best of' mixes, if it were truly just your favourites it would probably sound extremely disjointed and eclectic.

Anyway, I will stop babbling now. I kick things off a bit more liquid for the first half hour, then back to Johnny for his liquid faves for half and hour, then after an hour I come back with a few more liquid/jump up style tracks for Johnny to bring it home with a bit more roller/darker feels in a Fire & Ice stylee. I know 2 hours is a long mix but please try and stick around to the end as Johnny absolutely smashes it for the last half hour.

Finally, shouts to all the incredible DJs on here and all the new uploaders and the DJs I have only just discovered this past year. It's a credit to all of you that I nearly never listen to professional DJ mixes anymore as you guys are so much better and agenda/label agnostic. It's been a fairly down year for most but I think we can all agree that music has been the one constant in all our lives, and for that I am truly grateful. Big up Youtube community, you really are a treasure.
