Apeiron - Music for Infinity

The Icelandic artist Axel Flóvent is known for his soft vocals and the stylistic atmospheres he’s building with each track. At 19, Axel moved from his fishing village Húsavík to Amsterdam, where he felt isolated and decided to move again, this time to Brighton. Brighton, an important city for many UK artists, was the right environment for Axel to record his 2018 released EP Youthful Hearts. However, he started missing Iceland and moved back to Reykjavík.

Just like his personal story developed slowly but steadily, ‘Driving Hours’ feels like a personal recap of this journey. Starting and ending with a mellow ambient sound, the song creates a well crafted tension arc.
