If you’re into EDM, you might already be familiar with the name ‘Clinton Kane’. The 20 year-old singer-songwriter was featured on Martin Garrix’s ‘Drown’ earlier this year. Having grown a dedicated fan base since 2016 when he started uploading covers to YouTube, he successfully released his debut EP titled ‘this is what it feels like’ in 2019. Each of the five tracks describe a very specific feeling or situation that most of us, not all, are familiar with. Emotional, rough and honest, Clinton describes what it feels like to be cheated on, to have your heart broken and to have a tough childhood.
‘Forget About Us’ has been released two months after Clinton’s father passed away. ‘i have so many fucking questions on why he did the things he did and now that he’s gone i don’t know how to feel.’ Clinton wrote this track a few weeks after his father passed away, after crying for 2 hours straight.
For Clinton, it's scary to put the track out in the world, ‘but I'm putting this out for me’.
A track that leaves the listeners with just as many questions as Clinton might have. ‘Forget About Us’ is a beautiful, yet heartbreaking song about questions that will never be answered.
